Family - Reader/Lena Luthor

Lena had already left early to her office as she would be having an early meeting. This left you in charge of Leon and taking him to school before you went to the office. You had already changed and made some breakfast so you figured you could spend some time trying to work on a prototype that you've been trying to get to work for a while. It was getting frustrating as to no matter what you did, nothing changed.

"Fucking hell! Stupid shit. Why won't you stupid piece of shit work?!"

"Mom?"

You desperately wanted to pretend like you just hadn't heard your kid call out for you. This was very bad. Lena had made sure to keep you from cursing so Leon wouldn't repeat what he had heard. In all your 14 years of raising him, you never cursed in front of him. Lena was going to kill you.

"Sweetheart, I thought you were still eating breakfast."

"I was. I just finished and I'm ready to go to school."

You sighed and ran your hands through your hair while trying to figure out a way to deal with this. 

"Listen, Leon, you know what I said was bad, right? You know how mum and I have told you to not say any of those words?"

He nodded to show that he was aware.

"Can you promise to not say a word about this? It was an accident and no one needs to get in trouble for this. You know how Lena gets when she knows that I'm about to say a bad word."

The little smirk he had when he promised to not say a word about it, reminded you how Lena would smirk at you when she promised to not do anything but would eventually end up doing it. This wasn't going to end well.

"I promise, mom. I won't say a thing to her. Let's go through. I don't want to be late."

You quickly put everything away and headed outside. After dropping Leon off, you went straight to your office, desperately trying to forget what had happened in the morning. Leon was up to something and you just knew he would be using them at school. You just hoped no one would be able to hear them. 

Not hearing any calls from the school, you figured everything was okay. You didn't have to pick up Leon as it was Friday and he would be spending time with his cousins. You left the office early to start dinner before Lena could get home

"It smells delicious in here."

She came over to the kitchen after arriving to help you cook. Everything was just finished, you just needed to put the food on the plate.

After everything was set up, the two of you sat down to start eating. 

"So how was your day Lena?"

"It was quite interesting. I got a lot of calls. What about you? How was your day? Do something interesting today?"

Lena was oddly calm and it was starting to scare you. She was never this calm and you figured it had something to do with those calls she got.

You gulped loudly before continuing. 

"I um cursed in front of Leon. But it wasn't that bad. It was just a few words. Nothing to bad."

Every word out of your mouth just pushed her further into her infamous 'Lena Luthor scare mode' as you so nicely put it. She had never done it with you that you just wished she would say something. 

"Nothing? Then why did I get so many phone calls from the principal's office?"

You knew you were in deep trouble and there was nothing you could do now.
