85 World governments end and fruit

Oddly it took longer than expected for the news to arrive , more than a year in fact. the reason for this had to do with the fact the world government pulled out all stops to prevent whitebeard from sitting on the throne. this meant whitebeard was harassed relentlessly by the entire navy which was what likely led to the delay in reaching laugh tell. alastair had been doing a bit of prep work to pass the time when marina swam down to the seabed to give him the news. he finished up and rocketed from the seabed to the ship to prepare.

What kind preparations could alastair not have made in this time you ask , the kind that lets him sink whole islands before summoning literal mountain sized meteors from no where. basically unless alastair wanted to suffer backlashes from draining his entire mana pool these preparations are necessary. two days after the news of whitebeards ascension alastair scanned mary geoise and determined that the entire government had come together defensively. alastair spread his arms as if embracing the sky before a ridiculous amount of power began to roll off of him. this power sank into the sea as if it were heavy for five minutes before stopping.

Panting as sweat dripped from him alastair brought his hands together "worlds end!" he yells at which point a loud rumbling shakes the entire sea in the area. this rumbling grew progressively louder for the next thirty minutes before stopping. the moment the rumbling stopped the entire area mary geoise was located on fell into the sea catching everyone on it of guard. before the land could sink into the sea entirely alastair spread his hands again before bringing them down "planetary devastation!" he yells. the sky darkens over mary geoise and the clouds scatter before the first meteor.

The higher ups in mary geoise could only accept defeat at the situation they found themselves in as no amount of preparation could stop the end of the world government. they knew from the timing of this event that they had fallen right into the trap of a fearsome enemy. while the land sank a few of the cameras around the holy land showed a man standing on a familiar ship looking highly drained. the elders knew this ship from the information they had to belong to a thorn in their side and before dying realized the thorn was actually a sword.

Chaos erupted throughout the world as not only had whitebeard become pirate king but the world government had been literally crushed. this news sent the world into a mad scramble as the absence of the world government created a world wide power vacuum. the navy and whitebeard stood out during this time and stabilized the situation forcefully with their large amounts of members. whitebeard took care of the pirate side of things while the navy handled the rest with both sides having an unspoken agreement to cease hostilities till the situation settled.

During this time what was alastair doing? looting what was left of the holy land of course , this took quite a lot of his time what with the mountains of stuff to sift through. thankfully for alastair the only things not destroyed outright from his action were the treasury's of the various noble families as well as the governments restricted vault. alastair left all of the gold and jewels alone since they were pointless for him but he acquired a huge stash of devil fruit numbering close to a hundred in total.

Most of these fruits were just things the various nobles had that weren't all that interesting , however there were two in the restricted vault that caught his attention. the first was according to whitebeard once owned by the man who truly threatened the world government just by existing. this fruit was the death death no mi and was gray with reverse swirls along its apple like body. the second fruit was surprisingly a zoan fruit with a emerald color and swirls the turned brown towards the center of them. this fruit was the human human fruit model dryad , this confused alastair since it didn't make much sense for it to be considered restricted.
