6 6. Problem At The Vault Project

After a 14 hour job renovating the place, it looks almost the same as before. We stop because it's time to get back to eat some dinner and take a shower then go to sleep because tomorrow still need to continue renovating the place. Then we headed back to the old vault after that we parted ways and went back to our own room, when Sico arrived at his room he told his parents about how the project going while eating dinner with his parents and went to take a shower after finishing eating dinner then went to sleep.
When Sico wakes up, it's already morning Sico goes to take a shower and then eats some breakfast. After that he went on to continue with the project he had worked on yesterday, When he arrived at the place Sico took a quick survey on the others and then continued with his job.
5 days later while Sico focuses on doing his job, Sico thinks that the project is working nicely without a problem for a sudden project. While doing his job Sico got called by Calvin, when Calvin told him that there were some issues with the resources distribution. Turns out that the resources given by the resources departments are not as many as they were told by the overseer before starting this project. Calvin asks Sico to go to the resources department room and ask them why the resources that have been given are not the same as the amount that the overseer told them.
Sico quickly goes to the resources department room to ask them why this is happening and tells them to send the rest of the resources if not send them he will tell the overseer.
Sico: "Hey excuse me, why do the resources we receive not the same as the ones I overseer told them."
RD Personnel: "What do you mean? We are giving you guys the same amount as we were told. Maybe it is you guys that using it faster than expected."
A/n: RD is Resource Department
Sico: "Really now? Are you kidding me? The resources we received are supposed to be for one month. How the hell do we use it up just before the week we do the project even it's not past half a month."
RD Personnel: " Well don't know about it then, if you have a complaint you can send it to our supervisor now please leave you are making a scene here."
Sico: "Just wait you corrupted department, I will tell this to the overseer."
RD: "Hahaha…. Don't care goodbye."
After storming out of the room, Sico quickly goes to the overseer's room to complain about this issue while telling her that this can put them behind schedule.
Sico: "Overseer excuse me for barging in like this, but we have emergency issues now."
Gwen: "What is it? Please take a seat."
Sico: "The RD doesn't give the resources you talk to us and keep it for themself."
Gwen: "Maybe there was some misunderstanding between you and the RD guys, maybe the RD will send the resources next week."
Sico: "I think there's no misunderstanding between us because they say that the amount they send is the amount we are asking."
Gwen: "Hmm… let me find out what is going on and I will tell you when there is a information."
Sico: "Okay overseer, I leave the rest to you."
After finishing talking to the overseer, he gets back to the project and tells the story to Calvin. When Calvin hears the stories, he is furious and wants to barge into the RD and then kick some ass. After calming down Calvin, Sico gets back to his work and waits for the overseer to give him some news about what is going on behind the scenes.
After waiting for 2 days, Sico gets the news from the overseer. When Sico hears the news, he is shocked that turns out that the chief of RD is smuggling the rest of our resources to the outside world and getting some drugs for him to use. The overseer doesn't know how the hell he can do that, there must be his underling in the security department to get access to the outside world without getting caught.
Now the overseer brings Officer Edward and his most trusted men to catch the RD chief and his underling. When the problem is solved, she says that she will send the rest of the resources in 3 days because she needs to trade with some merchant who will come by tomorrow for it and tell him to bring Calvin with him to the trial that will be set in 2 days.
After getting the news, Sico shared it with Calvin and when Calvin knew he was ecstatic that the problem had been solved and of course shocked that it turned out there the RD chief was like that. When finished sharing the stories with Calvin, Sico asked Calvin how many days the resource would last and Calvin said don't worry it will last for at least 5 days so it's enough for now and can last until the next shipment of the resource comes.
After finishing the discussion about the problem, Sico and Calvin continue to do their work to renovate the place. When Sico finishes his job for the day, he goes back to his room and on the way back to his room Sico realizes that the electronics and design are like the 80-90 era in his old world even though this world is technically more advanced than his previous world. Maybe he can built some handie talkie from his previous world and try to advance ways to communicate in the vault.
After Sico got back to his room and was done eating dinner and taking a shower, he used some junk and tools in his inventory to build two handie talkie. When finishing building it, Sico tried to make some channels first so that when it was approved by the overseer there was already a channel that could be used for every department. After that he wanted to test it first so he ran to the Twins room to show his very first invention and test it with them.
When the Twins knows about it, they feel happy about it because that's mean Sico dream to make robots can come true even though his first invention is a handie talkie and not some robot. When they try it, Sico is in his room and The Twins are in their room, when hear a clear voice of Sico from the handle talkie the Twins are ecstatic and reply to Sico. After hearing the response from the Twins he knows it works, of course, it will work because he already designed it so that the signal would not be interrupted even though there are some walls of concrete or steel. After taking back the handle talkie from the Twins, Sico gets to sleep and hopes that tomorrow will come because he wants to introduce his invention to the overseer and hopefully it can be used for the vault.
The next day when Sico woke up he rushed to take a shower and eat his breakfast, he quickly went to the overseer's room and wanted to tell the overseer about this new invention that could be helpful for the vault. When he arrived he saw that the overseer doing some paperwork on her desk and asked permission to come in.
Sico: "Excuse me overseer, May I come in?."
Gwen: "Of course Sico, please come in and have a seat."
Sico: "Thank you overseer."
Gwen: "So what brings you to my room today? Is it because of the resources? I already told you it will be ready in two days."
Sico: "I know about it overseer, I'm here to discuss something else."
Gwen: "What is it then?."
Sico: "So I would like to introduce you to the handle talkie, this is the first invention that I built and I hope that it could be useful for the vault."
Gwen: "Oh? What is it for?."
Sico: "Handie Talkie is a two way communications device that I built with no need to plug it with some power for it to turn on and when its battery is empty we can just recharge it."
Gwen: "Wow that's really amazing, how long the range is? And how we can use it?."
Sico: "The range is about 50 kilometers and to use it we just push the button on the right side of the handle talkie and then speak to this intercom then on the other handle talkie will hear your voice out."
Gwen: "It's really amazing Sico, it can be useful for our communication here and we don't need to ask for help from other people to call the person we need."
Sico:" Yup, that's where I got the inspiration."
Gwen: "Great job Sico, how many do you have for now? I think we need at least 100 for it."
Sico: "Well I just made 2 for now, you know for some testing and the others."
Gwen: "So how many days do you need to build a 100 handie talkie?."
Sico: "Well at least I need 20 days to build it, I can build it after the first phase of the project is done though."
Gwen: "Okay then, now is there anything else?."
Sico: "No overseer."
Gwen: "Then get back to your work."
Sico: "Yes overseer thank you for your time goodbye."
Gwen: "your welcome goodbye."
After finishing his presentation of his invention to the overseer and getting her approval. Sico went to the project place and continued to do his job for the day, while doing some job Sico heard a sound from his system.
System: [Congratulations on making your first invention! You got a reward a computer blueprint from your old world.]
Sico: 'Nice, now I can get rid of that terminal.'
Ecstatic about his reward, Sico continued doing his job for the day and went back to his room after finishing it. But before he goes to his room, Sico goes to the Twin's place to share the news about his invention approval from the overseer and when they hear it they are happy for Sico and say that they have to find a time to celebrate it. After that Sico went back to his room and shared it again with his parents while eating dinner, after getting some congratulations and being happy for you Sico took a shower and take some rest for the day.
