1 1

I strive for excellence but rarely achieve it. Most of my days are spent holed up in my bedroom when I don't have class. I'm a home body, my dad is my best friend, Sesshomaru is my future husband and father to my children. Those are all things I know to be true. Well at least that was what I thought. Until he came around and suddenly my eyes are open to everything around me. Now I spend my days fantasizing about running my fingers through his perfectly coiffed brown hair and staring in his brown eyes, while he feeds me strawberries. All I have are my daydreams and wet dreams, because nothing would ever come to fruition. I wasn't exactly the most girly of girls, my mom dipped when I was young. I bare no ill will toward the woman, she didn't want me and was forced too. I would rather her be gone then resent me. While my dad is my best friend, he straight up raised me in his misogynistic view of the way a woman should be; needless to say, getting my period, buying bras, and the sex talk was like pulling teeth. I was doomed to have a warped sense on my sex appeal. Twenty-two years of my life spent feeling out of place in my own body until my father befriended Ezra Dalgliesh. He was a walking sin, with no business looking as fine as he did. Which was why I sat at the kitchen counter trying to focus on the drawing assignment before me instead of thinking about dick I was never going to get. I let out a deep heavy negro spiritual sigh "what are you working on?" The man of desires asks, breaking the non-existent concentration I had.

"Oh... don't- don't sneak up on me like that." He flashes me a Colgate smile and takes a drink of his bottled water.

"It's not sneaking, if the other person isn't paying attention. So, what's got your mind occupied?"

"Just this drawing assignment." Can't very well tell him I'm thinking about him dicking me down to within an inch of my life.

"Can I take a look?"

"Sure, go for it."

He came around to my side of the counter, his fitted white t-shirt showing off his physique. He stood close enough for his masculine scent to waft up to my nose, I inhaled deeply closing my eyes waiting for his comments on my work. I was no good at drawing and this class was holding me back.

"I like what you have going so far, incorporating thorned vines as letters is a good idea." My eyes snap open to look into whiskey brown eyes looking down at me. I bite my lip at his praise.

"You think so? You know I'm no good at drawing."

"I do know. I love you, but I will never be your Pictionary partner again." He chuckled at his joke; I couldn't laugh. My heart was too busy swelling in my chest, the heat rose to my face. He said he loved me, granted it was probably the way someone loves their goldfish.

"Seriously though it looks good."

"Thanks Ezra, it means a lot to me. I just hope my teacher likes it, he's so picky."

"Your welcome, you can come anytime with your questions, and problems; I will help you solve them to the best of my abilities."

"I will keep that in mind."

We hold each other's gaze until my father ruins the mood we are creating. "Aye Ezra what'chu doin' man? It doesn't take that long to grab some water."

He smiles at me heading out the kitchen. I watch him walk away, everything he did was sexy, and you could bounce a quarter off his ass. Why wasn't I wearing anything cuter. I had on an oversized pink hoodie and black shorts on. I was missing every opportunity to be cute around him. I grab my stuff from the counter and throw it in my bag. I run up to my room to get ready for work, thankfully I put out my clothes beforehand. I put on my blush pink floral button down, and then my brown leather skirt. Running into my bathroom I brush teeth, wash my face, and make sure I'm not ashy. Satisfied I pull off my bonnet and fluff my hair. Thank goodness for this wig because I don't have time to mess with my hair. Grabbing my purse, I slip on my blush pink hills and head down the stairs.

"Dad I'm off to work." I yell as I reach the bottom of the stairs.

"Hold up, what do you have on?" I hear the game pause, but I have no time for my father's bs today.

"Work appropriate clothes. Bye." I grab my keys from the hook and just as I reach for the door, my father comes to a stop in front of me.

"You call this work appropriate?" he questions crossing his arm like he's the fashion police. "That skirt is too short.

"The skirt comes down to my knees."

"Make it go to your ankles." What in the little house on the prairie headassery was this? "And you don't need all that make up on your face either. Out here looking like a street walker."

"What the- You know what? I'm twenty-two you don't get to police what I wear or how I wear it." I step around him, ain't nobody got time for the misogynistic bullshit today.

"Lil girl you live under my roof, you gone do what I say."

I take my hand off the door and turn around, "oh word. Noted." I take my phone out and call my friend Sasha, she picks up on the first ring.

"Hey bitch! What's poppin?"

"You still need a roommate?" I ask staring my parental unit directly in the eyes.

"Yeah, you trying to be my plus one?"

"Yup." From the corner of my eye I see Ezra standing in the doorway watching this debacle that is happening.

"That's what's up. It's about time you moved out of your dads place."

"Mhmm, I'll see you at work girl." I slip my phone back into my bag "problem solved." My father stands their mouth agape. I throw a smile at Ezra and walk out the door.

Ezra

"That's your only child, you're controlling behavior is going to further push her away. I know I don't have a child, but your parenting skills are way to overbearing. You raised Camilla, trust that you did a good job and let her make her own decisions." He was being ridiculous as always when it came to her.

"You're right you don't kids so your opinion isn't necessary."

Well damn okay then. "I'm going to go; I'll see you in a couple hours."

I usually hold my tongue when it comes to their relationship, lately they have been arguing more and more. She was a young woman and Marcus kept trying to treat her like she was in middle school. Camilla is a beautiful girl; men were going to look at her regardless of what she wore. If I ever saw her say more than five words to the opposite sex, I knew she would have men falling at her feet. Hell, I wanted to fall at her feet. She had me wrapped around her pinky and didn't even know it. I was enraptured with her the moment Marcus introduced us. That shy innocent smile she gave me and that meek hello, I knew I was going to have to control myself around her. I unlock the door to my condo and hang my keys on the hook. There was no point in spending so much time with Marcus when who I wanted to see wasn't going to be around anymore. I was glad she was moving out, don't get me wrong Marcus is a cool dude, but he needed therapy. He wasn't trying to hear me on it though. He was trying to be a father to Camilla but projecting his unresolved issues of her mother onto her. Good on Camilla for getting away from that.

Speak of the angel, her name flashed across the screen of my phone. "Hello."

"Hey Ezra, sorry for bothering you with this, but do you think you could assist me with moving out."

"You're no bother at all Camilla, I'd be happy to help you move out."

"Thank you so much, you're the best. Know I just have to figure out what I'm going to do for the next three days until we can move in, cause I'm not going back home."

"Just stay with me." What the hell am I thinking. Oh, that's right I'm thinking I get to spend three days alone to get to know her better.

"Oh Ezra!" She exclaimed making my mind slip into dirty thoughts, maybe this wasn't a good idea. The girl was inadvertently a turn on. "I couldn't impose on you like that."

"It's not a problem at all baby girl."

"Oh! Well... okay if you say so. Thank you so much, to show my appreciation how about I cook for you tonight."

"Okay I haven't had a home cooked meal in a while, I'll drop a spare key off at your work."

"Thanks again, see you later."

"Yeah see you later."

I could survive three days.
