Chapter 2

After a while of walking and Alec and me ignoring each other, I noticed two teen boys standing on the side walk. Once Alec noticed them he made his way over to them and I silently followed him. They greeted each other , and when they noticed me , one of them looked confused "Hey man, who is that?" he asked. Alec looked at me then groaned , "That's Claire , she''s new in town. My family and I were having dinner at her house when you texted . My mom forced me to take her." he said . "Way to sound enthusiastic." I said sarcastically .

One of them bursted out laughing then made his way to me , "I'm Caden , and that is Asher" he introduced himself . I nodded "Pleasure to me you." I said then he smiled at me. I heard my phone ring so I took out of my pocket and saw that my aunt has texted me.

(Claire , can you come home it's getting late)..... Auntie Vivi

"hey guys I have to go, my aunt wants me home." I said, I saw Caden scrunch his face up in confusion when I said aunt but I just ignored her. "Bye" I said then started walking away. As I was walking away I heard the boys arguing , then Alec groaning " Claire wait up!" I heard Alec said. I turned around "Hmm?" I hummed , "I'll take you " Alec said, "No you don't have to do that" I tried to deny . " No , he brought you so he'll take you back. it's not proper to let a girl walk alone." Caden said . I raised my eyes brows and Caden shrugged his shoulders. I sighed and nodded , " Come on let's go" I said and started walking.

Alec said goodbye to his friends then started walking behind me.

"Well thank you for waling me home." I said when we reached the door of our home. "It's no problem." he said. "Well bye , I guess." I said and opened the door and entered the house. "Bye" he said then left. I closed the door "I'm back auntie!" I said loudly. "In here." I heard her voice from the kitchen. I made my way to the kitchen and saw my aunt putting away the leftovers .

I sat at the kitchen table , auntie stopped what she was doing then looked at me , "So what do you think oft he town?" she asked. I shrugged my shoulders , "I didn't get to see much . But from what I saw it's beautiful." I said . Aunt Viv turned to me then asked "What do you think of Alec?" . I raised my eyebrows , "What it's just a question " auntie said defensively. "Well he is rude ." I said. "That's it?" she asked , I nodded. "You're boring ." Auntie groaned . I chuckled then made my way to her, "I'm going to my room to get ready for bed. I'm tired, today was a long day." I said . She nodded and pulled me into a hug then kissed my cheek " goodnight sweetheart. I'm happy you're here." she whispered . "Me too. Goodnight." I said then pulled away then smiled and left the kitchen to go to my room.

Once I got in my room I decided to take a shower . I took a pair of pyjamas out of my bag and put it on my bed . After that I went to the bathroom and started the water for my shower.

After I finished the shower I took out a book from my bag to read it. I laid on my bed and started reading the book. After a while my eyes got tired so I closed the book and put on my bedside. Before I closed my eyes i looked at my stuff on the floor , I groaned and thought to myself 'I'll clean that up tomorrow'.

I quickly fell asleep since I was so tired.

The next morning I walk up feeling energized , I went to bathroom and freshened up. After I was done I got dressed then went to leave the room. Before I reached the door of my room I looked at the floor and I looked at the mess I made yesterday. I groaned and started cleaning evrything up.

5 minutes late I was done with cleaning and I went down to the kitchen. Once i reached the kitchen I saw my aunt making waffles . After she noticed me she said "Good morning sweetheart, sit down and eat ." I sat down at the table then she passed me a plate. "Eat quickly we're going to the store ." she said . I nodded and startedd eating.

"Okay sweetheart you can go and get whatever you want , we'll meet up at the dairy section in an hour, okay?" Aunt Viv said. I nodded then we parted ways.

I was walking in the school supplies section and I wasn't paying attention when I bumped into someone. "I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention." I said after I recovered . "it's okay, it's my fault too." The girl I bumped into said. "I'm Ari." she said , "It's nice to meet you, I'm Claire." I said with a smile. "Are you new here? This is a small town and everyone knows each other." Ari asked. "oh yeah , I came here to live with my aunt ." I said. " You're going to attend the high school I'm attending, since it's the only high school around, what grade are you?" she asked, "I'm a senior." I answered , "Cool , I'm a senior too. Do you know any one here ?" Ari asked, "No no t really." I said. "Would like to hang out with me and my friend?" she asked. I nodded, after that I saw a boy walk towards us frantically . "Ari , where did you run of to?" he said, "I was just looking at the school supplies , when I bumped into Claire. She's new in town." Ari said. The boy then noticed me" Hey , I'm Adam" he introduced himself, "Nice to meet you." I said.

"Hey Claire can you me your phone for a bit." Ari asked me, I looked at her with a confused look but handed her my phone anyway. She took it and typed something on it, "Here you go you have my number and Adam's , text me today ." Ari said.

"Well pleasure to meet you guys but I have to continue shopping .I have to meet my aunt in a bit" I said, "Bye" Ari and Adam said then walked away.

I finished my shopping then went and met up with my aunt . I told her about Ari and Adam, she was happy for me.

After we paid for our stuff we left the store and went home.
