5 CHAPTER 4

*Boooggggshhh

I heard a loud sound.

"WHO DO YOU THINK ARE YOU?" She shouted on the top of her lungs.

The man who's beating me lately, looks like a kitten now.

When he saw who shouted. His eyes widen and about to run, when Sezia grab his collar and forced him to stand the man looked so shock and afraid at the same time, but Sezia doesn't have any mercy to the man who beat me earlier instead to give pity to the man she punch him on the right side of his face that makes him fall to the ground again.

If she didn't stop punching this man I am sure as hell that he would end up in the hospital with the life supporting machine. So before my imagination will happen, I immediately grab Sezia's wrist.

"Enough please?" I pleaded her to stop.

She's so mad, her eyes looked like a dagger.

"Tsh! Why do you think you're doing?" She asked that made me confused.

" What?" I ask out of confusion.

"Why do you allowed that shitty man to bump you?" She asked as if she's my mother.

"Are you that weak to not fight back?" She continued.

She's so brave to beat a man with her baseball bat, and she looks so hot in holding a bat. She is a feasome-looking lately, but now her eyes back to it's cold-looking.

"I'm sorry." I felt so weak abd embarrassed at the same time because I let a woman defend me.

I don't fight back.

"You know what, if you just let them bully you or bump you, many of them make you as their target, so don't let them be." She said with a hint of care on her voice.

I am about to tell her I'm sorry again when she grabbed my hand and pull me to the

"Hop in" she said.

I am not yet inside her car when she started the engine.

"Hey, I said hop in" she said a bit irritated.

"Ah yeah, I'm sorry." I said while opening her car's door.

When I already fasten my seatbelt she drove her car really fast, to the point that I am holding in my seat.

"Can you please lower down your speed, I don't want to die." I said with a shaky tone, because I'm really scared.

"HAHAHAHAHA." She laughed so hard that makes me stare at her again.

Did I heard her laugh? Did she laugh by now?

I smiled, her laugh is like a music to my ears, I want to record it and play the audio every night.

"Did you laugh?" I asked with confusion on my voice?

"Why? am I not allowed to laugh?" She Asked while smiling, A real smile, not sarcastic nor a fake one.

"Shit, your smile is priceless." I complimented her.

"Is it a compliment or an insult?" She asked while the happiness written on her didn't fades.

"A compliment of course."

Her smiled widen, this is the first time I seen her happy she not just smile but she laughed, too far from the Sezia I met in the restaurant and the Sezia I always met in school.

But in all I like the Sezia I met just now, the Sezia who's laughing and smiling.

" Where are we going, Sezia?" I asked when I noticed that we are in the bumping road. And trees surround the whole way. There's no houses but there's a few barns. I guess we are heading to the forest.

"Just wait okay? I not gonna rape you here so don't feel afraid."

I smiled she even cracked a joke.

I don't want to ruin the mood that's why I remain silent. I trust her to where we headed.

After a long while her car stopped near the cliff.

She took her way out from her car, so I followed her.

The ambiance of the surrounding is great. We are in the high place with bermuda grass covered the whole ground.

Sezia took something from her compartment and before I could ask what she's holding, I see her under the big tree near the cliff.

She place a mat where shaded by the shadow of the tree.

"What are doing? Come here. " She shout towards me, and tap her side motioning me to sit beside her.

I am still amazed because her personality is very far different from the personality that I've seen on her everytime there are so many who can see her actions.

I reached where she is sitting and I sat beside her.

"Isn't it peaceful?" She asked

"Yes it is." I answered.

We remain sitting while I am looking around. It is the highest place in Manila I guess. The skyscrapers are so small from here. I can feel peace in this place. Seems like my mind is free from any problems that I'm in.

This place gives me a peace of mind that I never felt before.

" Look at the world, it is huge. But why I felt like my world is so small and crowded. Small to the point that I can't move, and crowded to the point that I can't breath easily. I'm scared." She she paused. When I heard the word scared she caught my attention. Now I am attentive .

"I'm scared in so many things." She continued.

"Scared of what?" I curiously asked.

"Scared to fall, I may look tough outside but believe I am more vulnerable than you ever imagine." She paused and let a deep sigh before continuing what she's talking.

"Fearless is my defense mechanism to avoid from any pain, so be brave Sarid, that's your only weapon to survive." She said while staring at the skyscrapers.

"I'm vulnerable too Sezia, I can't be brave and never be, I can't act like what you did. I want to become fearless but everytime I tried; I failed." I paused a bit and let out a deep sigh.

"I am sick Sezia."
