Chapter 188: Fight for your justice .

" Why haven't you reported ? " Camilla asked.

" I am sorry. I don't think that I can come today. " She answered.

"Marvis, I understand what you are going through. But you can't take business for granted. You have to come and do the shooting. " Camilla said.

" Everyone hates me now. Who will like what I am doing ? " Alyssa asked solemnly.

" So what now ? You think that hiding will solve anything ? " Camilla asked.

" I am sorry Camilla. I just want to be alone for today. " Alyssa said and ended the call while Camilla was still talking.

She chuckled in disbelief and then went to Mr Hopkinsville office.

" Sir, I have reached her but she refused to come.." Camilla reported.

" Let's leave her for today. If she doesn't come tomorrow I will terminate her contract.." Mr Hopkinsville swore.

When Calcel arrived at the company that morning there were many reporters waiting to hear from him bit this time round he sent guards to send them a way.

He canceled all the meetings he had that he had that day and spent most of the time in his office. He tried to do work but he wasn't that focused. Whenever he remembered what happened he felt heartbroken and fooled so he eventually left his work desk and went to sit in the parlor.

When he arrived back home in the evening David was already waiting for him.

" Good evening Father.."

" Come and sit here. We need to talk.." David gestured him.

He hesitantly went and sat down.

" Jenny told me that Marvis was here yesterday.._" David begun.

" Mmmm.."

" Didn't she tell you what really happened ? " David asked.

" She couldn't say anything because everything Derrick said was true. " Calcel answered.

" Really ? Did you get time to listen to her ? " David asked this Calcel kept shut.

" Son, I don't want you to rush things..." David gave him a serious look. " I remember, The first time I met Marvis. She was walking along the road alone at night. When I asked her where she was going, She told me that her parents had kicked her out. She had refused to accept my help but I am the one who insisted on helping her. "

" I think it's possible that they really kicked her out. "

" But Father, How could they kick her out after she had won 20millions, Which family could do that ? " Calcel questioned.

" Maybe there was a misunderstanding.." David tried to reason.

" Its obvious that she ran away from them. And when she met you, She seized the opportunity to come and live here. " Said Calcel.

" Calcel..." David called but he got up.

" Father, Let's not talk about Marvis again. " He

proclaimed and left.

More and more comments and rumors emerged about Alyssa. She had spent a full day at her Mansion. People who still had faith in her were waiting for her to come and defend herself as she had been doing for the past days but they were disappointed that she didn't come.

After two days...

She was still in her bed when she heard the door knock. She didn't expect anyone to visit her and she walked lazily to open the door.

" Camilla..." she was surprised to find her.

Camilla heaved a breath and walked inside. Alyssa followed after locking the door.

" What brings you here ? " Alyssa asked crossing her arms around her chest.

" Marvis, I am the one who must be asking what you are doing here. " She said.

" Camilla, I am resigning. I already finished writing my online resignation letter. " Alyssa answered.

" Marvis are you serious ? " Camilla asked. " This is not the Marvis that I know. "

" What do you want me to do now ? Everyone hates me. " Alyssa solemnly said.

" Who said that everyone hates you ? " Camilla asked.

" Everything is useless because Calcel won't believe me. " She cried.

" Hi...Is Calcel that important to you ? And even if he is, you think that hidding and resigning is the solution ? " Camilla shouted.

" What do you want me to do now ? " Alyssa yelled back.

Camilla clatched on Alyssa's shoulders and said.

" Look here Marvis , You must wake up and fight for your justice. This is not only about you. Its about all of us here. Think about your father...and everyone else who has faith in you. " She said sternly.

Alyssa managed to calm down and she sat on the couch.

" Marvis, The reporters will get you as soon as you move out. I want you to prepare everything and prove them wrong. " Said Camilla.

" But how will I ? i am not sure of what happened in the past either. " Alyssa argued.

" I am going to reach out to your father. You stay here as you look for evidence to prove them wrong. " Camilla finally left after saying this.

Alyssa sat down to think of what to do. Then she suddenly remembered what Calcel told her before.

' Maybe Doctor Thomas know more about you . ' Cancel had said.

" Doctor Thomas.." Alyssa reasoned and got her phone.

She googled his name and found the ig account of Doctor Thomas.

After reading this she got up and went to her room. She dressed up with a black veil and a face mask which after she left the apartment.

At Good Life Hospital...

Doctor Thomas went to his Office after checking on the children. He had just sat down when the door knocked and Alyssa entered.

At first he didn't recognize her until she removed the veil and and the mask.

" Marvis..." he called surprised to sit.

" Its you Doctor Thomas. Right ? " She asked.

" Yes...Please sit down.." He said to her.

Alyssa sat down.It still looked like a surprise to see her again.

" Marvis...This is really you. " He said.

" Doctor Thomas, I am sorry that I lost my memory. I don't remember you. " Alyssa started.

" Oh..Sorry about that. What happened ? " He asked.

" I had an accident last year.." She said.

" Sorry. I didn't know about that. I last saw you with Alyssa. How is she ? " He asked.

" Doctor, You mean you don't know what happened to her ?"

" Marvis, When you guys just left I went a broad for some studies. And I just came back yesterday. " The doctor said.

" Huh.." Alyssa could not believe this luck.

" What is it ? " Thomas asked
