Chapter 82 : I Need to Protect My Family
Rose POV
There was a ringing in my ears. I could barely hear anything the doctors were saying. All I could think about was Becca. I needed to see her. I needed to make sure she was okay.
Lukus, too, kept asking when we would be able to see our sister. All the nurses would say was that she was still in bad shape. The burns had covered almost her entire body. They said she was lucky to be alive.
"We really need to stop meeting in hospitals," Luke said, trying to ease the tension, but it failed to work for him. There was a constant tear in his eyes.
"What was she even doing in Chicago? I thought Uncle was running this branch."
