Sleeping Beauty

Audrey yawned for the umpteenth time that day. It was only five in the evening but her eyelids were struggling to stay up. The ambience of the dimly lit room too did not help as it was the perfect setting to catch forty winks but for the life of her, she did not dare to with the mischievous one awake.

Little Freddie had been stirred awake soon after Frederick stepped out of the room, blasting loud cries in that soundproof chamber conveniently upset his daddy had left without him.

Audrey had been standing up, walking to and fro for what felt forever, patting the angel's back to soothe him. But with her energy fast depleted, running only on reserve, she could not handle the headaches any longer.
