7 Chapter 7

"It's you..." I say as I watch the client Taehyung wanted me to originally help.

"You know Mr. Jung?" Taehyung says, surprised.

"Yes. He once came into the company to get a new phone but because he was so indecisive he wasted quite a bit of time and in the end didn't buy anything."

"I couldn't pick one, okay?" There were just too many choices for me." The client replies.

"Plus, I found out after that you lied to the cafeteria staff that you were the top model in Incheon and got 10 free pastries."

"What? That definitely wasn't me. It...It must have been someone that looked like me. You know, I have very uh, generic features." Mr. Jung tries to fight back with his words.

"Anyway, he's my client now and I need your help to, well, help him..." Taehyung reveals.

I look at Taehyung and then at Mr. Jung and back at Taehyung again.

"You know...you could have transferred him at my company and I would have been able to help him more effectively." I tell Taehyung.

"I know. I'm sorry. I wasn't really thinking properly when I called you." Taehyung admits, scratching his head sheepishly.

"It's alright. We all have our off days. I'm here now so I'll help Mr. Jung in any way I can." I say, understandingly.

Taehyung bows happily.

"Now, what, may I ask, do you need me for Mr. Jung?" I say.

"I need you to find a person who came to your company to buy a phone recently." Mr. Jung asks.

"A person?" I repeat.

"Who is the person you are looking for?"

"My friend. He wanted some advice on getting the right mobile phone so I told him about Seoul Star Company however, I wasn't able to help him because he went to your company alone even though I told him that I would come with him. I heard he purchased a phone but I don't know which one plus he hasn't spoken to me since the last time I saw him which was two months ago."

"May I ask what his name is?"

"Dong Shindae." Mr. Jung replies.

"Ok. One second."

I get my phone out and text Joheon.

'ᴄᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜ sᴇᴀʀᴄʜ ᴀ ɴᴀᴍᴇ ғᴏʀ ᴀ ᴄᴜsᴛᴏᴍᴇʀ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ sʏsᴛᴇᴍ, ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ?' I text.

'sᴜʀᴇ. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪs ᴛʜᴇ ɴᴀᴍᴇ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴜsᴛᴏᴍᴇʀ?'

'ᴅᴏɴɢ sʜɪɴᴅᴀᴇ'

'ᴏᴋ. ᴏɴᴇ sᴇᴄᴏɴᴅ sɪʀ...ɢᴏᴛ ɪᴛ. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ʜɪᴍ?' Joheon says.

'ᴡʜɪᴄʜ ᴍᴏʙɪʟᴇ ᴘʜᴏɴᴇ ᴅɪᴅ ʜᴇ ᴘᴜʀᴄʜᴀsᴇ ʀᴇᴄᴇɴᴛʟʏ?'

'ᴛʜᴇ ᴀʀᴄᴢᴀɴ. ᴍᴏᴅᴇʟ 𝟹.'

"Your friend purchased the latest phone, The Arczan, the 3rd Model." I tell Mr. Jung.

"That's fine then. Also, you can't trace the phone, can you?"

"No. We have not enabled the tracking for the device your friend has." I reply.

'ɪs ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴀʟʟ, sɪʀ?' Joheon says.

'ʏᴇs, ᴛʜᴀɴᴋ ʏᴏᴜ'.

"Is that all you needed my help for?" I say again, placing my phone into my jacket.

"Yes. That is all."

"I guess I'll take my leave. Taehyung, I'll see you again in a couple of hours. Also, Mr. Jung, are you able to tell me why you couldn't come to my company by yourself and instead went to Mr. Kim?" I inquire with curiosity oozing form my body.

"My car is broken and I lost my wallet today so I weren't able to come on the subway to Seoul so I went to Taehyung, who I know would know you, and asked him to call you."

"Ah. I see. Well, it was good to see you again, Mr Jung..."

"Hoseok."

"Mr. Jung Hoseok. I'll try to remember your name for when I see you again." I smile.

"Please do but remember this, I have very generic features."

I chuckle.

"I'll remember that Mr. Jung, the 'Incheon model'."
