3 The breaking point

Dad's pov

I wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of my phone ringing. I sighed as i rubbed my eyes and answered the phone. "Hello" i say in a low raspy voice. "Hello yes is this mr. lee" "yes that would be me?" "well mr. lee your daughter and wife got into a car crash an-" i didn't even let him finish. "WHAT ARE THEY OK!" i ask panicked as i got up and began to get dressed.

"Well your daughter is fine but you have to understand your wife has lost a lot of blood. We are bringing her into surgery now." "i'm heading to the hospital now." and with that i hung up and went to adam's room. I woke him up in a hurry. "Adam, adam, wake up" he woke up confused as he rubbed his eyes. "Your sister and mom got into a crash i'm going to the hospital now." "what…" he says in a raspy voice. "i need you to take care of your siblings while i'm gone ok?" "yeah yeah" he says as he lays back down. I sighed as i realized he wasnt really listening but i shrugged it off as i ran outside to my car.

I finally made it to the hospital. I park the car before rushing into the hospital demanding to see my wife. "Sir please be patient" the lady at the desk said as she typed away at her computer. I tapped my fingers on the front desk impatiently. Finally she looked up from her computer. "She is in room 2D and your daughter is in room 4C" she said. "Thank you" i said before rushing through the halls to find room 2D.

Yes i was worried about yura but in this moment my wife was the only thing on my mind. I finally find room 2D and burst in to the room. I look around to see the room was empty. A doctor soon walks in behind me with a confused look. "Um sir are you lost?" he asks. "no the nurse told me my wife was in this room" the doctors confused look turned into a frown. "No it can't be" i say falling to my knees. "Im sorry sir" he says before kneeling down next to me. "If it helps any your daughter just woke up" he said in a reassuring voice. I had forgotten all about yura and i didnt feel like looking at her, but she was my daughter so i had to go see her.

The doctor leads me to yura's room. I walk in to see her sitting with her knees pulled close to her chest. I slowly make my way to her with tears running down my face. I'm glad she was ok but she should be the one dead not my wife. I know it's a bad thought to have about my own daughter but i still wish that thought was true. I hug her close to me and we talk for awhile before the doctors clear her so she can come home. On the drive home i'm not crying anymore all i can think about is how my wife was gone and my daughter wasn't. I had to find a way to get these thoughts out of my head but they wouldn't go away.
