7 Rescued

the sound of rumbling disturbed the quiet night as a m38 military jeep sped down the empty road. "general, who's the kid?" the soldier that was driving asked. "haah, i don't know! that rockefeller bastard said to save his son's friend!"sitting beside him, the general grumbled. "rockefeller? isn't he that fairly new oil tycoon? why would you have to listen to what a small oil tycoon says?" the soldier asked. "small? haha, lieutenant you shouldn't believe everything you hear. he has his hands in a lot of businesses." the general said.

"but what you really need to watch out for is his personality. if you are a person who wields a certain amount of power, he will do whatever it takes to put you in debt to him. he doesn't care if you are a criminal or a country leader, as long as he can use you, you can be dam sure that he will. that is why, although his isn't officially one of the top 10 most powerful families, not even they take him lightly." the general said. "it sounds like you're praising him, general." the soldier said. "haah? wadda you know? that guy is like a demon! and you have to be extremely careful lest you get tempted!" the general said.

"still though, i wonder what somebody had to give up in order to save this kid..." the general looked back. in the back seats, 3 soldiers were squeezed into two seats with seraph lying on their laps. 'the kid...from the time i saw him, his eyes didn't have any light in them. it's like somebody sucked the happiness from him, leaving him as an empty shell." the general thought. at the same time, the lieutenant looked back at seraph through the corner of his eye. '...' no one knew what he was thinking.

...

"i have done what you wanted." as he walked into the room, rockefeller looked towards his son. "..." the fatty said nothing. "young master, you have to lift your arm." the servant said as she held a large overcoat, ready to put it onto the fatty. silently, he lifted his arm. "this is the schools uniform. hmm, you should consider doing some kind of exercise or sport." after looking at his son up and down, john rockefeller turned around and left the room.

'dammit! dammit! dammit! damn him!' the fatty clenched his jaw almost breaking his teeth. no one could tell what he was thinking, as his face was covered in fat, the only thing anyone would see is the jiggling fat. "young master?" the servant called out, as the fatty's body was as stiff as a board. "hmm?" the fatty looked towards the servant. "i have to take off the uniform now." the servant said. silently nodding, the fatty allowed the servant to remove the uniform.

...

"hey kid, where do you live." the general suddenly asked. "..." seraph silently turned his head to look at the general. "hey! an-" Avenue street." one of the soldiers in the back was about to shout, but was interrupted. "avenue street? do you know where that is, lieutenant?" the general asked. "i think that the only one who doesn't know where avenue street is, is you general. "heh heh, you sure have been talking back quite a bit these days lieutenant. i suppose i will have to train you from beginning to end again when we get back!" the general shouted.

"wha-what ar ye talkin about general? theer's no need fer that!" beads of sweat flowed down the lieutenants face, as he spoke with a strange accent. "hahaha! once a country kid, always a country kid! your accent never ceases to amuse me! ha ha!" the general roared. seraph and the 3 soldiers watched this scene silently. unbeknownst to them, two shadows were closely following them. hidden by the darkness as they followed behind the jeep.

after about 40 minutes they arrived at avenue street. "which of these buildings do you live in?" slowly driving down avenue street, the general looked around. "the one that looks out of place." seraph said. "aaah? are you trying to make a riddle or something kid? if you don-"general." he was interrupted. what?!" the general shouted. "i think i know what he means, look." the lieutenant pointed. "..." the general silently looked.

between two large well maintained buildings, a small rundown apartment stood. parts of the tile roof were breaking off, the stairs looked unstable, the wooden handrails were rotting, as were the doors and wooden parts of the windows. "he-hey kid, you mean to say that you live there?" the general pointed at the small apartment while looking back at seraph. looking at the apartment once again he thought, 'how could someone who lives in a place like this be a friend of that man's son? was he screwing with me when he told me to save his son's friend? or did i pick up the wrong kid?' a lot of different thoughts were swirling through his head.

the door opened as seraph walked out. "wha-what?! weren't you just unable to walk?!" the lieutenant shouted, making everyone remember this point. "don't you mean to say, that i was beaten and almost killed for a crime that i didn't commit? i realize now, people hate the weak and they look down on those who are less fortunate. i am weak now, but that will change. and when that time comes, i will make the strong bow before me!" seraph said all of this without a shred of anger or hatred to be seen, he only had a slight smile on his face.

"general, did you see him...." the lieutenant paused. "yeah, i saw. whatever that kid went through in that prison either broke or changed him. he looks completely empty." the general said with a sigh. "should we..." the lieutenant asked. "kill him? nah! just make sure you don't do anything to offend him! i have a feeling that his views on life has changed, for better or worse. let's go!" the general said as he looked at seraph one last time.

...

after the general left, two shadows emerged from the darkness, standing on the road while looking at the rundown apartment. "big senior brother! why don't we go and take him now?!" the voice of a girl disturbed the quiet night, it sounded a bit childish. "why are you so fixated on this boy?" the taller one asked, his voice devoid of emotion. "because! you'll see when we get him!" the girl retorted. "we are leaving." the boy suddenly said.

"what?! why are we leaving?! he's just right there!" the girl protested. "no. we already know where he lives, you can always come back here for him." he said. "oh, that is true. ok!" after thinking about it, the girl agreed. "by the way big senior brother! you have to help me get revenge! that bastard..." as they were leaving the girl began complaining about something.
