Enrollment

After the incident in the basement Quentin had never touched the wand again. His mother and father, surprisingly, never punished him. They seemed almost as happy as he was. His mother could give her son the life she never had in the wizarding world. While his father could see the wizarding world through him.

It was now October 14th, 1990. Tomorrow Quentin would turn 11 and should receive his letter from Hogwarts according to his mother. The two years weren't wasted however. His parents now knowing that their son was going to be a wizard started working more in the wizarding world. Setting up a Gringotts vault, converting Paper to gold. His mother had tried to get in contact with other Malfoys, whether it be branche houses or the main one. However, it seemed that no one had responded.

After dinne that night his mother and father wished him goodnight and good luck, still being umsure if he would receive an enrollment letter. Quentin went to bed and thought for a short while before falling asleep.

The next morning everyone was happy but also nervous. They began breakfast and had a his mother and father talked about his fathers work trying to distract themselves from the arrival of the letter.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

There was a knocking at the door. Quentin went to get the door. The door opened to show a man in a normal suit but with a strange top hat on. "Hello?" Quentin asked confuses.

"Are you Quentin Keene?" the man asked

"Yes."

"Good. May I come in?"

"Sure" Quentin led him to his parents in the dining room.

"May I take a seat Mister and Misses Keene?" The man asked after removing his top hat.

"Of course you can." Quentin's father said while gesturing at a seat at the other side of ther table.

The man took a seat and pulled out a letter handing it to Quentin. "Most times we only send people to the child house if they are a pure muggle-born, however, with your situation the Headmaster decided to send me in person to give you your letter." The man explained. Both Quentin's father and mother nodded. "However, I won't be staying to explain if you don't need me to." The man said.

Quentin's mother came over to the table from the kitchen with a try of tea. Setting it on the table she gestures at it questioningly. The man waves his hand and shakes his head. She pours a some tea for herself and Quentin's father only.

"So the question is, do you need me to explain to you how the wizardung world works, or will you be fine if I left now?" The man looks at both Quentin's mother and father. His father looks to his mother and she responds, "We thank you for coming just incase but I believe that we will be fine."

The man nods and leaves the house while putting his top hat back on. Quentin watches the man walk outside through the window when he disappears whilst collapsing in on himself like a bundle of snakes.

Quentin looks at the letter in his hands and opens it.

He then pulled out a third paper that explained that he would have to wait untill the next year of school due to his birthday being later than August 31st. Even if he had to wait a whole more year he was still relatively happy that he got to go at all.
