10 10. Moving forward

I kept standing in place with a blank emotion on my face, they both died because of me. Instead of paying back Hayabusa for saving my life, he died trying to protect me. Before he pushed me away at that time, he told me his last words, "Always, follow the path you believe in."

I couldn't even repay him for saving my life in that forest, and for everything they did for me during the journey.

I've decided, I can still repay them, I will kill their clan's traitor, Hanzo, by myself. That's the only possible way to pay them back.

I hear someone groaning behind a tree, I get closer to see what's going on. It was Helcurt, bleeding massively from its chest, maybe Hayabusa stabbed him with a sword at that time.

"Help... meee...."

He's the one who killed Hayabusa, there is no way I'm going to help this demon.

I unsheathe my sword to end his life, he lets out a dark aura and tries to attack me with blades on its arms. He's massively injured so his movements aren't as swift as usual, I casually dodge his attacks and stab my sword right through its back, killing him immediately.

I still can't move on from the incident that happened earlier, but crying won't do anything. I must repay them for saving my life twice, I will become stronger, and avenge them, at any cost.

I take out a map from the magical storage, first thing I'll do now is head towards Moniyan empire. I don't know what will I do after reaching there, but nor now, it's better than doing nothing.

From the look of the map, it will take around two days for me to reach there.

I start my journey towards the empire, killing monsters upon sight, at least that's what I can do now to increase my battle proficiency.
