1 Prologue

First love...is indeed a beautiful feeling which is engraved on our soul forever. But it's a universal truth that beautiful things don't last for long...Everything changes with time...be it people or feelings.

"I like you!" A boy around the age of 8 with a cheesy smile said as his black bangs covered his monolid chocolate eyes and his thin features made him look smaller than his age.

"...." The girl he confessed to didn't give him any reply.

.

Even though he didn't receive a reply back then but that didn't stop him and like a fool, he kept on trying again and again.

.

At the age of 10, he confessed again but failed.

At the age of 13 confessed and failed again.

.

"I like you!" The boy at the age of 14 who now was taller and well built said again to the same girl with a confident face.

"Why?" That girl who had a face that looked afraid of almost everything asked as her short hair which grew over the last 7 years and have reached her waistline asked as she looked at him.

"What Why?" He asked not understanding her question.

"Why would you like me?" She asked in her tiny voice nervously.

"...I don't know that~ I just like you." He said as he shrugged making the girl blush.

"How come you don't know that?" She said shyly.

.

"I dunno...Now tell me would you date me?" He asked with a smile on his face.

The girl stayed silent for a while as she could feel the heat on her ears and face and the rising heartbeat that didn't seem to fade.

"Hey, I am waiting." He said with his charming smile.

"I...I will.." She said in her tiny voice that was only audible to her and him.

.

The confession was finally accepted. And that evening was dreamy for both of these young love birds.

But not for long as the young pure love of 8 was long gone with the years that passed by.

"You are dating another girl behind me...aren't you..." That girl asked as her eyes with double eyelid looked at him with straight sadness.

.

"That I was just talking with her... it's nothing else." That boy said as he sighed.

"I saw your texts..." That girl said as she looked downwards. Her heartbeat was almost dead silent and her eyes were teary.

"Hey...Are you crying?" He asked in a panic tone.

The girl didn't answer her and ran away from there leaving that boy alone.

.

That summer evening a heart which was protected broke and a person's confidence was lost.

.

That must have been the end of their not so loving first love but for some reason. It was a never-ending cycle that is alive even today.
