2 Reona and the Forty Thieves

Rose screams in delight while Mana screams at the top of her lungs. They land on top of a sand dune then roll down it. Mana coughs while Rose cheers and jumps up. "That was so much fun! Let's do it again!!!" She jumps up and down while Mana groans.

Mana stands up while dusting the sand off of her. "C-Can we don't d-do t-that again?" She looks around in confusion at the same time Rose giggles.

"I kinda agree with you on it for now... At least, we had a soft landing." Rose says while looking around. "Where are we in the fairytale anyways?" She snaps her fingers after Mana blinks.

She stares at Rose before pointing to the book then back to Rose. "R-Rose, how d-did you do-o that... That's-s impossible to do... R-Right?" Mana says with a questioning tone. Her eyes shine with an unknown flame after Rose glances at her.

A spark of realization form in Rose's eyes after she gasps softly. She slowly lowers the book. Rose's eyes expanded in shock after a female figure appears behind Mana. She grins before disappearing.

Rose shakes her head then grins. "It's nothing special. My adopted mother placed a spell on all the books. We can summon the travel size book anytime that we want. We should get going... The book says that a town on the other side of this sand dune." She starts walking up the dune while Mana quietly follows her.

In a small town, Mana's eyes start to sparkle as people walk past them. "A-Amazing... I-I never has seen c-clothes or p-people like t-this before." Mana says with excitement.

Rose giggles while leading Mana toward several stores. "I have before! Those headpieces that the women are wearing are called hijab. It's most common around a place like here. It's a headscarf that covers the hair and neck but leaves the face open... We need some of those..." She grins after glancing at several through windows.

Mana: "I-I don't t-think..." She squeaks when Rose grabs her by the wrist and drags her into a store. She blinks after walking out of the store with a light pink hijab on her. Mana blushes lightly as Rose walks out wearing a dark blue hijab with gold stars on it "T-This is embarrassing... Why do I h-have to w-wear this?"

She blinks after noticing Rose playing with her dark blue hijab. Rose laughs while several people glance at them. "We want to blend in a bit, right? Well, the best way is to wear something like this." Her stomach growls at the same time Manas' does. "Now let's go find a place to eat..."

"Excuse me, but you said that you were looking for a place to get, right?" Rose and Mana stare at a teenage male with a light tan as he hands them a flyer. A lock of his pastel pink hair falls over his right eye while gulping a bit. "Our restaurant has some of the best food in town..."

He blinks when Rose takes the flyer and grins. "That's great! Please show us the way, Mister..." She tilts her head while the male smiles.

"My name is Reona. Please follow me." He says while his smile grows. He quickly leads Mana and Rose down a road toward the restaurant.

Sometime later, Reona hums softly while Mana grabs Rose by the sleeve. "R-R, what are y-you d-doing? We d-don't know where w-we are a-at.." She frowns after Rose pats her head.

Rose smiles massive as they head a single store building with smoke coming out of a window. "Mana, please trust me. I know what I'm doing. This isn't the first time I have done this." Mana stares at her in confusion as they enter the restaurant.

A female teenager that looks like Reona expects pastel blue hair frowns after Reona leaves Mana and Rose at a table in the corner. He quickly takes their order. He smiles while the teenage girl taps her fingers against a counter. "Dorothy, I need two orders..." Reona says then yelps after Dorothy slams her hand on the counter.

Dorothy frowns after Reona slowly moves away. "Reona, I don't trust those people that you brought in." She glares at Rose laughing while Mana sighs. "Something isn't right about them."

Reona shakes her head while taking two clay bowls of water. "You have nothing to worry about. They are new into town, and we're looking for a place to eat..." She blinks after Dorothy slams her hand against the counter again.

"I don't care. Something isn't right about those girls." Dorothy glares at Rose. "Especially that one in blue. I feel like I've seen her somewhere before..." She frowns at the same time Reona shakes her head.

"Alright, Dorothy... Just help me fix two plates of kofta. " Dorothy rolls her eyes then help Reona prepare the food. Rose glances at them before returning her gaze at the book.

Sometime later that day, Mana frowns while looking around. Rose raises an eyebrow before sitting down a bowl of water. "Mana, what wrong? You barely touched your water. It's important to stay hydrated." She grins after Mana sighs quietly.

Mana: "I-I don't understand h-how you can-n be so c-calm about this. I-It just seems w-weird that the book that you opened b-brought u-us here without L-Lucien.." Her eyes widen while Rose smiles softly. Reona quickly serves them food before leaving. He glanced at Mana when she gasped.

"It seems that the puzzle pieces are finally clicking together," Rose says while her grin grows. "So tell me what you have discovered?"

"It's b-because of magic... W-We... W-We are in a-a fairytale!? ...P-Please, tell me that w-we are n-not in A-Ali Baba and the F-Forty Thieves." Mana says with worry and fear in her voice. Rose grin turns into a smirk as she takes a bit of kofta. Mana stares at her with wide eyes when Rose squeals in delight.

Her eyes sparkle with delight as Rose eats some more kofta. "Delicious! You have to try this kofta!!" She eats more while Mana shakes like a leaf.

"R-Rose, stop e-eating! W-We have to get out of h-here!!" Mana starts breathing heavily then blinks when Rose shoves kofta in her mouth.

Rose's hand grazes Mana's shoulder. Mana stares at her then blink after Rose shoves another kofta into her mouth. "Mana, calm down and eat. I'll explain what's going on." She smiles when Mana slowly takes the food out of her mouth. Mana slowly takes a bite while Rose places the book on the table.

"It all started a very very long time ago. There was a dragon princess. She protected an ancient time called the Rainbow Heart. The princess wanted to bring the human and fairytale world together, but something happened. She had to shatter the Rainbow Heart before going into hiding. The Royal Dragon family trusted my adopted family in protecting the library. We are allowed to enter any fairytale that we wanted as long as they had happy endings." Rose said while playing with her bowl of water.

Mana nods while eating more of the kofta. "R-Right... How does-s all of th-hat relate to us? I-I get that som-mehow we were able t-to enter becaus-se of you. But-t why this one?" She says in a worried tone.

Rose stares into her eyes. Mana tips her head to the left in confusion. "This fairytale that we are in right now is called Reona and the Forty Thieves," Rose said while touching the book. "This version doesn't have a happy ending. Happy endings are our key to getting out of here... Mana, we have to make sure that this story has a happy ending or we may be stuck in here forever." Mana eyes widen while eating more of the kofta. Rose stares at the ground when Dorothy glares at both of them.

Dorothy growls then storms out while dragging Reona behind her. "Dorothy-san, what are you..." Reona says before hearing Dorothy's growls. He quickly stops talking and quietly gulps.

"You are coming with me. We need to gather more firewood." Reona tilts his head in confusion when Rose glances at them. Rose stands up after the twins leave. She smiles softly before heading to their mother. Mana eyes shine with curiosity as Rose talks to their mother.

Later that night, Reona and Dorothy blink after noticing Mana cleaning tables and Rose taking orders and to serve costumers food. "Ehhhh! What's going on?!" Dorothy yells at the top of her lungs. She grabs Rose by the arm before staring into Rose's eyes.

Rose grins as she removes Dorothy's hand and quickly serves an old woman her food. "Welcome back, Reona and Dorothy! I'm Rose, and that's my friend Mana. We are helping you and your family for a while." She smiles big while taking several steps back.

Rose covers Mana's ears while Reona and Dorothy stare at them in shock. "EHHHHHHHH!" the twins yells at the top of their lungs. Rose grin grows after uncovering Mana's ears. Mana blinks then shakes her head.

Rose quickly stuffs her face with food while the West family and Mana stare at her. Dorothy frowns after Mana wipes her mouth. 'I can't believe that this is happening... They don't deserve to stay here!' Dorothy thinks while stabbing her food.

Reona frowns after noticing Dorothy stabbing her food. "Dorothy, you shouldn't..." He closes his mouth at the same time Dorothy glares at him.

Rose giggles while watching the twins. "I'm sorry for laughing, but you two remind me of my best friends." She smiles big with joy in her eyes. "I know that my friend and I came and work for your family without notice. There is something that I want to give you as a gift." The West Family blink when Rose pulls out a small stack of currency. "I don't know if this is enough, but the least I can do is pay for our stay." Dorothy grumbles as their father takes the stack and nods. Rose smiles big before all of them go back to eating. Dorothy continues to glare at Rose and Mana.

Sometime in the morning, Mana quickly follows Reona while carrying firewood. "Mana-san, are you alright? Is the firewood heavy?" Reona says softly.

Mana shakes her head. "N-No. I was j-just t-thinking about s-something... R-Reona, do y-you mind us s-staying with y-you?" She stops a few feet away from Reona after he stops walking. Mana turns around with worry after Reona shakes his head.

"I don't mind, but Dorothy, on the other hand..." Reona bites his bottom lip. Mana blinks then gently smiles.

She giggles softly while Reona stares at her. "You don't have to say anything. I think everyone knows how she feels during dinner." Reona nods before smiling.

Suddenly, both of them laugh while turning a corner. Reona stops then shoves Mana back against the edge of the wall. Mana blinks then blushes as Reona covers her mouth. He shakes his head while shaking a bit. Mana glances at his shaking before facing the corner.

"Do you think that we should go to the hideout and store the gold there?" A deep voice says with questioning. Mana and Reona look at each other then peak around the corner as two thieves walk toward them.

"Of course, we have to go there. You know how the boss is when it comes to this." the first thief said. The second one nods while the first one groans. "I know, but I want to keep some of the gold for myself... Oh well. We should get back. " Both of them whisper as they get into a more public area. Reona and Mana look at each other before quickly heading back to the restaurant.

Dorothy grumbles while cooking as quickly as possible. Rose smiles big after noticing Reona and Mana running in. "Reona! Mana! I'm so glad that you are here!! We need some..." She blinks when both of them toss the firewood aside and run upstairs.

Dorothy frowns then goes back to cooking as their mother taps Rose on her shoulder. Rose looks at her and smiles softly. "I'll go check on them after I'm done. Don't worry about a thing." She quickly sits down a plate of food in front of a mother and her young boy. Dorothy glares at Rose then follows her upstairs.

In the West twins' bedroom, Mana paces back and forth when Rose enters the room. Rose taps her foot while Mana glances at her. "Alright. What is going on? Something is bothering you." She says after sitting on a bed.

Reona glances at Rose while Mana grins. "I-It's nothing R-Rose..." Rose stares at her before standing up. A spark of fear shine in Reona's eyes after Mana lets out a small sigh of relief.

'Those two are hiding something... I know I should wait, but I don't have enough time to wait.' Rose thinks while staring at her feet. Her stomach starts to turn while her vision starts to blur. 'Yeah. I definitely can't wait... I need to scare them a bit.' She takes a deep breath before raising a fist.

Mana yelps when Rose slams her fist into the wall. Rose slowly moves her hand away and grins. "Don't give an answer like that. I know that something is bothering you. Tell me now before I get angry." Rose Reona glances at Mana when she nods.

Reona gulps before opening his mouth."We... We heard where some thieves are going to hide their treasure.." He starts shaking as Rose grins.

"I see..." Rose's pupils narrow as she stares into their eyes. "If you go after the treasure, then be careful. I don't want both of you to be captured by those thieves. They will come after the family." Her pupils return to normal before she leaves as Mana and Reona look at each other in confusion.

A couple of days later, Dorothy frowns as she picks up a gold coin off the floor. 'A gold coin? Where...' She glares at Mana when she gasps and drops a cup.

Mana scrabbles to clean up while shaking. "I-I am s-sorry! I-I d-didn't..." She stops moving after Dorothy stand in front of her.

Dorothy grins as she holds the gold coin in front of Mana's eyes. "You know about this coin, don't you? Where did it come from?" Her grin grows after Mana's face pales.

"I k-know n-nothing!" She sighs quietly after Dorothy puts away the coin. Mana squeaks as Dorothy grabs her and starts shaking her.

Dorothy frowns when the shaking continues. "Tell me where you got the coin!!" She stops after Mana opens her mouth.

"I-I stole i-it from a bunch of t-thieves! R-Reona and I have b-been g-getting coins and g-giving them to t-the p-poor.." Mana says. She shakes in fear as Dorothy lets go of her and storms out of the room.

Rose and Dorothy walk past each other in the hallway. Dorothy grumbles under her breath while Rose stops walking. She turns around with worry in her eyes. "Dorothy, you are going after something, aren't you."

She blinks when Dorothy stops and faces her. "Why does it matter to you? You will follow us and cause us trouble." Dorothy turns around with a giant smirk on her face. Her smirk disappears after feeling something gently press against the base of her neck.

The room temperature drops as chuckles fill the hallway. "You forget one thing about me. You and every other Dorothy forget that it does matter to me with it involves with my friends." Dorothy slowly turns her head in fear while Rose grins. "It matters to me because of the safety of my friends. My friends mean the world to me, and I want to protect them. Dorothy, I'm warning you now that you need to change your mind before one of us get hurt." She lowers her hand while Dorothy runs away.

Rose takes several deep breaths before leaning a nearby wall. Her whole body starts shaking in fear. The shaking stops after a hand graze her shoulder. She looks up and stares into a pair of gold eyes. The eyes disappear after Rose stands up straight and heads down the hall.

Mana sighs as she picks the last of the glass shards when Rose enters. Rose takes a rag out from her pocket. Mana glances at her with confusion. "Here let me help."

Mana blinks then smiles. "T-Thank you." Both of them quickly finish cleaning and sitting on the floor. Both of them made eye contact with everything expect each other.

Rose tips her head a bit. "Mana, if Dorothy asks one of us to take her to where the thieves are.." She blinks when Mana puts a finger on her mouth.

Mana smiles softly while her eyes soften. "Y-You want us to g-go with it r-right? W-Why do you want t-to to go along w-with it?" She removes her finger from Rose's mouth. "I already knew you were planning to do that... Rose, tell me why we are doing this. I need to know what is going on. Something inside of me wants to know what is really going on."

Rose stares at her before her bangs cover her face. "It is something that is a bit hard to explain... Let's just say it involves magical stuff and my past." Mana's eyes become gloom when Rose stands up and leaves. Her head lowers while the sun starts to set.

Sometime later that night, Mana quietly crawls out of bed and stares out the window. She sighs while some of the stars twinkle. "What am I doing to?... Rose is starting to lash out, and Dorothy isn't going to listen to anything we say. Why is everything like this? How do I solve it?' She looks up at the night sky then blinks as a shooting star appears in the sky. Mana eyes seem to shine with mixed emotions, while more shooting stars appear in the sky.

"It seems that you need some advice. Care to listen to someone like me? " Mana eyes widen after she turns around. A woman in her late thirties sits beside her. Her pastel purple hair was up in braided ponytail curled at the end. The woman's light gray eyes shine with wonder after Mana blinks.

"What... Who are you?!" Mana says with feared tone. Her eyes expanded as the woman grins.

Time starts to slow down after the woman giggles. "My name is Perle Kage. I am someone that has come to give you some advice." She touches Mana's hand after time starts again.

Mana stares into her eyes. "Right-t... Are yo-ou going to tell-l me t-the advice or not?" She frowns after Perle giggles.

"Of course, I will." Perle tips her head a bit. "I am going to say this once, so remember it. All of us are different, no matter what others say. It is true that everyone barely anything in common with others from around the world in the human and fairytale world." She stares at the night sky. Her eyes soften while staring at the brightest star. "But, there is something that all of us have in common. All of us love our family."

Mana tilts her head in confusion after Perle stares back into her eyes. "I s-see... Why are y-you telling m-me this now?" She pouts a bit. Perle giggles before ruffling her hair.

"I know that you will understand when the time comes," Perle says softly. Mana turns to face the night sky. Perle nods while slowly disappear. "You will know what to do." Her grin sparkles after she completely transforms into thin air. Mana blinks and faces her. Mana tilts her head in confusion as a shooting star crosses the night sky.

The next morning, Rose frowns as she and Reona enter the secret hideout of the thieves. "Tenison relax... This is a good idea.." She quickly starts filling her pockets full when Rose keeps an eye on the entrance.

"Hurry up... The thieves may come back soon.." Reona nods as she puts on all kinds of jewelry on her fingers and neck. Rose groans while keeping an eye on the entrance.

"I know. I'm trying to do this as fast as I can. My ninja skills should be able to protect us for a while.." Rose nods while the entrance starts to open. She gasps softly then grabs Reona and hides in the darkest corner of the room. "What are you..."

Rose covers her mouth and gulps "The thieves are coming. You said that we have nothing to worry about because of your ninja skills... But we need to hide. It's not the time for you to prove it!" Reona nods as the darkness quickly covers them.

Dorothy dry bowls while Mana stares down the street. "You don't have to worry about Rose and Reona. They can take care of themselves." Dorothy stares at her then sighs softly.

"I-I know, but tha-at's n-not why I'm w-worried... Reona-a isn't the be-est fighter. H-He may-y not be abl-le to prote-ect Rose." She bites his bottom lips while Dorothy nods.

She sits down the bowl. "I have no idea what you are talking about. Your friend is probably weaker than Reona." Mana glares at Dorothy. A frown starts to form on her face while a spark shines in her eyes.

Dorothy blinks when Mana slams her hand on the counter. "W-Why are you a-acting like this. You d-don't know w-who we ar-re..." Both of them blink after Rose's book appears in front of them. Their eyes expand while it shows them a picture of Reona and Rose trapped in a cage.

Mana covers her mouth after Dorothy frowns. "They were captured... How did that happen? Reona was supposed to protect her!!" She growls while Mana slowly uncovers her mouth.

"We h-have to wor-rk together."

Dorothy stares at her with a deep frown. "What did you just say?" She glares at Mana when she gulps.

"I-I said we hav-ve to work t-together," Mana says quietly. She grazes over the cover of the book. "We hav-ve no choic-ce but to-o work to-ogether. Our friend-ds and fa-amily are in-n trouble."

Dorothy frowns and turns around with anger. "I would rather work with Yui than with you." She grabs another bowl and dries it.

Mana sighs then nod. "I-I know how you f-feel... Listen, I kn-now that b-both of us are diffe-erent, but we have o-one thing in common." She clutches her free hand as a fire shines in her eyes. "Both-h of us love ou-ur friends and fam-mily. I kn-now that we d-don't get along. B-But, we ha-ave to this ti-ime. They need-d help, a-and we ar-re going to h-help them."

Dorothy glares at her before runs upstairs. Mana sighs before holding the book tightly. She takes several steps out of the door when someone whistles. Mana blinks after Dorothy lands in front of her. "Did I say you can leave?" Mana grins as both of them run down the street.

In a prisoner cell, Reona shakes the bars in anger. Rose watches him before taking out a strap of paper and a pen. She starts writing on it. Reona glances at her before sitting beside her. "What are you doing?"

"Sending a message to my brother. This strap of paper is magical. It will send anything to anyone as long as you have something to write and don't get it wet." Rose says with small grins. She stops writing and folds the paper into a butterfly. "Send my words to the one that the name is written. Let the person know that it is time for help."

Rose stands on her tippy toes and blows the paper butterfly out the cell window. She stares through the bars with soft eyes. Reona stares at her until Rose slowly slides down the wall.

Meanwhile, in the real world, a teenager in his late teens grasps a railing. His short, curled dark orange hair flies in the air. His matching eyes open when someone taps his shoulder. "Inuy, you got a message for Rosie."

Inuy stares at a teenage boy around his age with short, wavy, dark red shoulder hair, a silver-white stripe on his left, and dark green forest eyes. The adolescent boy's cheeks turn red while handing the paper butterfly to Inuy. It unfolds itself after Inuy takes it. Chuckles fill the air. "Snow, it is time that we help my little sister."

Snow tips his head in confusion. He blinks when Inuy grins. The paper turns into dust when both of them disappear into thin air.

Somewhere in the thief hideout, Mana and Dorothy quietly come out of the shadows after a guard passes them. Dorothy presses Mana against the wall before looking for guards around the corner. 'I can't believe this is happening... We are actually working together to save Rose and Reona.' She smiles then frowns as she picks up a piece of dark blue cloth.

Dorothy stares at her. She tips her head to left after Mana blinks. "T-This was a pa-art of Ros-se's hijab..." She looks around then grins when she picks up another piece. Both of them nod before following the trail of bits of hijab.

Rose grins after Dorothy and Mana stand in front of their cell. "Reona! Are you alright..." Dorothy says in a panic then glares at Mana. Mana put a finger on her mouth after removing her hand from Dorothy's mouth.

"About time, you two showed up. I was getting a bit worried." Rose says with a grin on her face. "Did you bring something to pick the lock." All of them look away from her as she sighs.

"We forgot... We were in a bit of a rush." Dorothy mutters. She pushes her fingers together.

Rose sighs again before reaching for her hair on the right side. All of them blink after Rose's right eyes covers in her wavy, shoulder-length, chocolate brown hair. Rose giggles while picking the lock with her hairpin. "Geez. The first rule of rescuing someone is to have something to pick a lock and an escape plan." She puts her back after the lock falls to the floor. All of them run away while Rose makes sure her cowlick doesn't get into her eyes.

All of them sigh with relief after arriving in the restaurant. "That was crazy..." Reona says while a grin grows on his face. Dorothy nods at the same time Mana drags Rose to a corner.

"R-Rose, what are w-we going to-o do now? Thi-is is the p-part of the fair-rytale tha-at the thieve-es come after us..." Mana whispers quietly. Rose giggles before placing a hand on the top of her head. Mana stares at her before nodding.

The next day, Mana and Rose hide in an alleyway as three thieves and their leader pass them. The leader grins then mark an 'X' on the door before all of them leave. "T-They are c-coming after-r us... W-We have t-to do something.."

Rose nods at the same time she takes out a strip of cloth. "You're right. We can't let them hurt the West family..." She ties her hair into a ponytail.

Mana stares at her then blink. "R-Rose, why are-e you doing the V-Violet B-Baudelaire hair tying? T-That is sup-pposed to her qu-uirk." She raises an eyebrow.

Rose giggles and grins like a goofy. "It's not for thinking. Having my hair back is going to keep me from pushing it back every time we stop." She grins while her single strand is out of the way. "Mana, grab a sharp rock, and start putting 'X' on every door in town."

Her grin grows after Mana lets her jaw drop. "W-Wait, are w-we going to do w-what A-Ali Baba did? I-I was j-just think t-that." She starts squeaking.

Rose giggles after heading her a sharp rock. "Well, then our minds think alike. Now let's get going!" Mana nods as both of them go in separate directions.

Rose quickly covers herself with a black blanket when the thieves appear down the road. She grins as the thieves start to give on the search. They growl with each X on the door. The thieves leave in anger after Rose removes the blanket.

Mana sits beside her and whispers softly. "I-It seems t-that our p-plan worked." She grins proudly. A spark shines in her eyes while her grin grows.

Rose nods while whispering back. "Yeah... But they won't stop until they hurt them. Mana, what happens after this?" Her eyes soften after Mana nods.

"W-Well... T-The boss w-will come h-here and s-spend the night a-as an f-fake o-oil s-seller. T-The rest of t-the t-thieves are g-going to b-be in t-the c-clay jars." She taps her foot while Rose nods.

She glances around before wrapping the blanket around Mana's shoulders. "Hmm, right.... Let's talk it over with the twins in the morning. We have to do something about that." Mana nod as Rose smiles softly. She leads Mana back to the Twin's restaurant with Mana yawns.

The next night around midnight, Rose grins when all of the children in town yawn and rub the sleep out of their eyes. She looks at all of them before heading out drinks. "Sorry for doing this to all of you, but we need your help.

Sophie falls face-first into the sand while spilling her drink. "Pshuuu~ It's too early..." She smiles after Cosmo pats her head.

Mana nods and rubs the back of her neck. "W-We need your h-help.." She points to the thirty-nine jars. All of the children stare at the jars in confusion. "Th-hese jaws ha-ave thieves in them, a-and we hav-ve to roll the-em out of town. E-Everyone, start r-rolling a ja-ar or two. I, Rose-e, and the W-West Twins a-are goin-ng lead the way." She starts rolling one jar at the same time Rose moves two. The other children look at each other before turning a pot or two.

Dorothy glances back her and smiles softly. She giggles softly while Mana gazes at her. "It's working! Our plan is going to work!!" Rose nods while smiling big when trying to get ahead of several kids trying to pass her.

On top of a large sand dune, a small girl pushes the last jar over when Dorothy cheers. Dorothy faces everyone and grins. "Alright! The last of the thieves are gone!!"

Everyone cheer while Mana smiles softly. Mana: "It seems that w-we m-made an h-happy ending." She stares at Rose, then frowns.

Rose stares at the night sky then the ground. "Our job isn't done yet." Mana tips her head to the left as Reona and Dorothy glance at them in confusion.

Suddenly, the ground starts shaking. Rose colts her head a bit while Dorothy nods. "Everyone get away from here!" She runs with Reona trying to help everyone run away.

Mana gasp and falls to her knees. She looks around in confusion after Rose helps her up. "R-Rose, what's going on?!"

Rose takes her hand while a magic circle surrounds them. Mana stares in awe as a dragon head symbol expands in the center of the ring. Suddenly, a massive thief covered in black mist. Its ruby red eyes show nothing but anger as it roars. Mana stares at Rose with fear in her eyes. "People that lose their dreams end in the world of hopeless. They can escape if there are saviors." Rose says while a light faintly glows in the center of her chest.

Someone chuckles as Rose glances behind her. "Looks like we made it in time for the party." A slightly deep voice male voice said. Mana turns around in confusion. She blinks when Inuy and Snow walk toward them.

Inuy grins after Rose colts her head toward Mana. "Hello, you must be Mana. I'm Inuy Heart, Rosie's older adoptive brother. The person behind me is Snow Fairbairn. You call him Snow." He stares at the thief as his grin grows. "Looks like a powerful Dreamless... Combination attack or triple attack?"

Rose stares at it before looking at Snow. Snow tips his head and nods. "Triple attack. It should be able to purify it." He glances at Mana. He smiles before grabbing a silver saxophone that appears out of thin air. "You better want to stand back and watch the magic."

Mana stares at him in confusion. She turns to Rose after she grabs a bass guitar that forms out of thin air. Rose grins while Inuy taps his drumsticks together. He starts banging on disks of pale orange light. Inuy grins as Snow joins him while gray lights coming out of his saxophone. Mana lets her jaw drop as Rose plays a guitar solo causing rainbow lights to come out.

"BASS!"

"DRUM!"

"SAX!"

All three of them smile big at the same time, the lights form massive rings of light. Each of them points their instruments toward the thief. All of their eyes turn to their respective colors after Mana blinks. "Dreamless, LOCK ON!" The three of them yell as the rings attach themselves on the thief. Each ring gains speed with each turn. "LET OUR DREAM BE FOUND! FAIRYTALE DEFENDERS, TRIPLE MUSIC RONDO!!" the boys and Rose yell at the top of their lungs.

The rings explode in a burst of light after the thief screams. Inuy and Snow step away. Mana stares in shock when Rose places her bass on her back like a samurai. "Let your dream lives on." She says in a deep voice. Mana lets her jaw drops. Rose grins while all of them disappear with a small pop.

Lucien jumps back in surprise after Inuy, Snow, and girls land on the floor. He points to the book then to everyone. Lucien blinks when Inuy and Rose jump up. "THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN! LET'S DO IT AGAIN!!!" Inuy, and Rose screamed. Snow shakes his head awhile, helping Mana up.

"W-What... W-What just happened?!" Mana says. She blinks before shaking Snow like crazy. "W-What the heck d-did you guys just-t do?!"

Snow groans while Rose giggles. "We fought the Dreamless. It was the thing that was causing the fairytale to not have a happy ending." She takes the book from Lucien. It flaps away while Mana blinks. Rose grins after a bright light covers all of them.

Snow and Inuy land on their feet. Both of them tumbled to the ground after Mana and Lucien landed on their backs. Rose tilts her head in confusion after her feet touch the wooden floor. She turns around and giggles while Lucien and Mana get off of the boys. "You two need to practice your landing. It comes in handy on all kinds of missions." she said.

Rose giggles while someone sighs. "You five are lucky that I was one that found that book. It shouldn't be left around in Pripara like that." a deep male voice says after a hand ruffles Rose's hair.

Mana blinks when a male that looks like Snow expect with silver-white hair and dark red stripe on his right. Lucien's eyes start to sparkle as he starts squealing. The teenage boy tilts his head when Inuy starts counting down with his fingers. "You're Flare Fairbairn! He's a part of the R Knights!" He starts jumping up and down in excitement.

Inuy chuckles after takes out a photo all three of them with autographs. Lucien stares at him in confusion after taking it. "We had an extra from our signing earlier. It's always nice to see a smile from a friend of my little sister." Inuy says with a soft smile.

Lucien smiles and nods after Mana blinks. "O-Okay. No one-e answered my question." She glares at Rose when she giggles.

Rose drags Inuy and Snow toward her. All three boys blink at her when she nods. Flare shakes his head after Snow gulps. "We have been keeping a secret from you two. The library has defenders... Defenders that protect the library from the Drosselmeyer and his army of Dreamless."

She raises her hands to her heart as light shines from her chest. Flare catches a keyboard at the same time Snow grabs his saxophone. Inuy sticks out his tongue and crosses his arms in 'X' after his drumsticks form in his hands. Rose plays a rift while sparkles form her bass. Lucien and Mana let their jaws drop in shock.
