9 CHAPTER 9

"Unit two, got any visual in the forest?", said a guard over the radio.

"Negative sir, we found a broken laptop but no one with it. I think they might have escaped.", said the guard searching the area.

"Do you see any footprints?", he asked.

The guard switched on his flashlight and looked around, "No Sir, there is no sign of the intruders.".

"Okay soldier, return to the base.", said the man over the radio.

"It is under lockdown Sir, I can't get in.", said the guard. He continued to walk around the base looking for anything suspicious.

Grandpa had made it to the cell where Vivian and Joe were being held, hostage.

"Papa? What are you doing here?", said Vivian as she came rushing towards the cell door.

"I will get all of you out of here.", he replied. Grandpa was followed by Mano and Daji.

"Papa hide! The humans are coming.", said Vivian pointing at Mano and Daji. Grandpa turned his face around and said, "They are with me, it is okay."

Vivian sighed with relief, "So? What is your plan, and have you seen Abby?", asked Joe.

"She is with the others outside... she is safe.", replied Grandpa.

Joe and Vivian exhaled as they heard the news.

"Okay, I want you to take these balls and pop them on your heads. I have enough for all of the fairies. You keep these and I will go give the others some too.", said grandpa as he reached out of his bag for the magic balls. Just as he was about to hand over the balls to Vivian, the guards came marching into the cell.

"HEY YOU! stop right there!", screamed the guards. They pointed their guns towards Mano, Daji, and grandpa.

"RUN!", said Daji to grandpa. Mano and Daji coved grandpa as he flew away. Fierce fighting between the guards and those two turned out to be extremely bloody. Mano and Daji were firing bullets at the guards but were outnumbered by them.

"I am out of bullets!", said Daji.

"RUN! I will take care of this.", said Mano.

"I am not leaving you here to die.", replied Daji as tears rolled down her eyes.

"Just go!", said Mano as she continued to shoot the guards. Mano stood there for a while and ran towards one of the guards. She pushed him down and snatched the gun from his hands, she was lucky enough to get the gun from his hand and restore her position with Mano. They both fought violently with the guards but unfortunately, this success was short-lived. Mano and Daji were massacred by the guards in the hallway. Yet another pair of grandpa's crew was lost to these brutal humans.

Grandpa was long gone now but was still present in the base. He was running away from the humans when his foot slipped and he tripped. The magic balls inside the bag came rolling out and into the gutter.

"NO!", screamed grandpa as he started at the balls sliding through the gutters. He tried to grab them but was too late. The guards were roaming in every hallway, every room, and every place. The place was full of those humans. Grandpa was lying on the ground when he heard footsteps approaching him. He got up and leaned against the wall. The guards came to notice the sparkling balls on the floor. They didn't care to pick them up or take them to the general, instead, they popped them underneath their shoes. Grandpa saw his hopes being crushed under their feet. No word on earth could describe the emotions he felt at that point. The feeling of dismay, hopelessness, and defeat ran through his entire body.

After the guards had left, grandpa made his way back to the cells where Mano and Daji were fighting. He came to see nothing but more pain. Mano and Daji were long on the ground, covered in blood. Grandpa walked towards them and looked down at their faces,

"I am so sorry (he sobbed) I am so sorry I let you down.", cried grandpa. Vivian tried to comfort grandpa and asked him to leave and go to Abby. Grandpa looked at Mano and Daji for one last time and ran out of the building. The thirst for revenge began to spread through his mind faster than a burning forest. Seeing his friend's dead bothered him very much. Grandpa tried to reach out to Smole and Bela but the communication between Smole and Grandpa had disrupted, he was on his own now. Grandpa went through the base to find the others.

The hallways were more secure than before, guards were crawling all over the place. Grandpa carefully looked through the entire facility to locate the others. He made his way to the middle of the ground to see the dead body of Papa Morgan and Mabi. As disturbed as he was, grandpa was determined to find the others... alive.

He could see the guards taking out the other fairies from the container. He went around them to see Helena, buster, and Robbin, hidden behind the containers in an isolated office. Grandpa's face lit up as he saw his crew members alive. He opened the door and united with the rest of his group. Helena ran towards grandpa and hugged him tightly, "Thank god you are alive.", she said.

"We thought you were gone.", said Robbin. Buster gave a disappointed look and said, "We lost them.... We lost Mabi, we lost Marvin... and we can't locate Mano, Daji, and David.", said Buster in a trembling voice. Grandpa patted Buster and broke the sad news to them, "Mano and Daji are gone... they are dead.", replied grandpa with a worn face. They all gasped and took a few minutes to take in the news. There was nothing but sadness, tears, and a dispirited feeling in the room. They had lost almost half of their crew, the crew they worked with for years, the crew that helped them go through tough times, the crew that was a part of their happiness and sadness, was now the same crew that was setting foot in their graves today.

Helena sat in the corner of the office, toes curled inwards and head rested on her arms, "We are all going to die now, just like everyone else.", she said.

"We are not going to die here.", replied Robbin.

"Sure, we are... We don't have a plan, we don't have people, we don't have weapons. Everything is lost and anytime now... we.....will.....perish.", replied Helena in a shaking voice. Grandpa was trying to come up with something else, something that would get them away from the base and somewhere safe.

"Is there any exit?", asked grandpa.

"No....the base is under lockdown, no one gets in and no one gets out.", replied Buster.

"How long will the lockdown last?", asked Robbin.

"Depends, once the situation is settled, the shutters will be lifted. We cannot rely on this, it might take hours, days maybe. We can't stay here for long. They will find us.", said Buster.".

"Can't we use our powers to lift the shutter?", suggested Buster.

"The shutters will require more power plus you need to be closer to it to lift, we don't have a chance.", said grandpa.

The crew sank into their minds to come up with an idea. Grandpa turned around and said, "I can go invisible and look for an exit. If I find one, I will come back and take the rest of you with me.", said Grandpa.

"That might actually work.", said Robbin.

"What if you find an exit. How will we get out, we don't have invisible powers.", said Buster, "They will spot us and kill us.".

"You had the magic balls, where are they?", asked Robbin.

Grandpa turned his head down and said, "They fell ... into the gutter.".

All of a sudden, Buster's mind clicked, "The gutter. That is right!", he said. The rest of them stared at Buster in utter confusion.

"The gutter may lead us out, through the sewers. The gutter can't be in lockdown.", he replied.

The dead hopes of the crew lit up as an escape route was found.

"Do you know where the gutters are?", asked Buster.

"I know where they are, but reaching them will not be easy. They are present a little outside the cells where the fairies are detained. That area is creeping with guards.",

"We know where to escape from, but how will we escape from it. I mean, I am not jumping into someone's pee and poop.", said Helena.

Robbin rolled his eyes and said and said, "It is called survival Helena. If you don't want to come with us feel free to walk into the death sentence that humans had laid for us.".

Helena was not buying anything; she didn't believe that the gutter could lead them out. Her hopes were still shattered while the others were making preparations to leave the office.

"We ready?", asked Buster.

"Yes, we are ready.", replied Robbin.

"Remember, only come out when I say it is safe, okay?", said grandpa. Both of them nodded and looked at Helena. Helena got up from the corner and said, "What the hell,..... let's get this over with.". Grandpa was the first to leave the office room. He was looking for a clear path where the humans were not spiraling. Just beside the container was a little door that led to the cell's downstairs. The problem was that the distance between the office and the door was around 100 meters and there was no cover to it. It was an open area of land with multiple guards, grandpa could go through unnoticed but the rest of them couldn't. The containers were being lifted one by one after the fairies had been taken out of them. The engines of the side lifters were roaring ferociously, the guards were screaming and pushing the fairies to the cell. The entire area seemed occupied. At that point, an idea clicked into grandpa's mind. He slowly crept behind a few guards, knocked them out, and stole their outfits. He managed to lift a few helmets to hide the fairies' faces. He ran back to the office with some clothes and helmets.

"Here, put it on.", said grandpa as he handed the uniform to his group. The outfits were enough to hide the appearance of the fairies, the wings, the nose, and the ears.

"Oh my god, this is so freaking uncomfortable. Where did you find these helmets, my ears are bending.", said Helena.

"I know it hurts Helena but it is only for a few moments, so, please... calm down.", replied Buster as he put the helmet on himself. The outfits were extremely itchy and uncomfortable for the fairies, their nose and ears were tangled and pushed in, their wings were suffocated by the weight of the jacket, but they continued towards the sewers.

Grandpa, Helena, Buster, and Robbin got out of the office.

"Stay close and don't say a word.", said grandpa.

the group stayed close as they marched towards the door.

"We are almost there. Hold on everyone.", said Grandpa.

They reached the door that led towards the gutters. Just as they were about to enter one of the guards in the middle of the ground shouted out, "Hey you, two of you at the back, come here!".

Buster and Robbin were the last two in line.

"He is calling us, what do we do?", said Robbin.

Grandpa tried to think of something, he said, "Just go, do what he says and come back to the gutters. okay?", said Grandpa. Both of them nodded and proceeded towards the middle of the ground.

"And guys.... don't, I repeat don't let your guard down.", said Grandpa. Grandpa and Helena went through the door towards the gutters while Robbin and Buster went to the guard.

"Take this and give it to the general.", said the guard. The guard handed them a list containing the number of fairies and where each fairy was being held. Robbin and Buster gulped as they took the list from his hands.

"Where is the...", said Robbin when he was interrupted by another guard that approached him. Robbin and Buster walked away from him and started walking.

"Do you have any idea where the office is?", asked Buster.

"No.", replied Robbin. They were walking when the guard called them out, "Hey! Where are you going? The office is up here.".

Robbin and Buster turned around and started walking in the other direction.

Meanwhile, Smole, Abby, and Bela were out, hiding in the woods. They were extremely gutted for leaving the rest of them behind. Smole and Bela were still dealing with it nicely but this did not sit too well with Abby.

"YOU JUST LEFT THEM. YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO BE A TEAM!", screamed Abby. Tears poured down her cheeks as she tried to convince Smole and Bela to go and get them.

"There is nothing we can do Abby. Your grandfather gave us one task and that was to protect you. Alive or dead, I can't disobey his orders.", said Bela.

"There is nothing we can do right now Abby. We tried the best we could. Trust me, if there was something we could do, I wouldn't hesitate once. But for now.... please.... lay low.", said Smole.

As downhearted as she was, Abby understood what Bela and Smole was trying to say to her. She kept quiet and sat back down with them. Bela hugged Abby tightly and ran her fingers through her hair, "It is okay Abby, everything will be fine.", said Bela.

A few moments later, they heard a loud bang nearby.

"What was that?", asked Abby as she quickly got up from Bela's lap.

"Stay quiet and stay low.", said Smole. Smole asked them to get up in the trees and hide. One by one Smole, Bela, and Abby camouflaged themselves with the leaves of the tree. For a second there was no sound, no noise, just the sound of the crickets of the night. Footsteps began to approach the tree where they were hidden. Bela covered Abby's mouth with her so she won't scream.

"SHSH", signaled Smole. The guards didn't utter a single word, they stood beneath the tree and left after a few minutes. They got out from the tree and back on the ground, "Well that was close.", said Smole. At that moment, a sniper hidden in the woods shot Smole in between his forehead. Smole's body fell to the ground. Abby and Bela were shocked, their eyes and mouths wide open, their hearts pounding faster than a roller coaster,

"GET DOWN!", screamed Bela. She forced Abby's head down and hid in the bushes.

"Oh my god, oh my god, how did that happen.", said Abby panicking.

Bela was emotionally shaken by the incident. She saw Smole die right in front of her eyes. Smole and Bela were siblings, they have had each other's back since day one. Losing a sibling is an extremely heavy burden to bear on one's shoulder and that was the exact kind of burden Bela was bearing while protecting Abby.

"There is a sniper in the bushes, we need to be careful.", said Bela panting and breathing very hard. Abby looked down and saw that Bela was injured. The knife Bela carried in her pocket, had pierced through her stomach,

"Oh no, is this bad?", asked Abby freaking out

"Do exactly.....what I tell you to do.... and stay down.", she said in a quivering voice. Abby was intimidated by the entire situation. Bela was asking her to treat her wound and she was not sure if she could do it correctly.

"A little further.... to the right.... is the sniper... take... take out a grenade, pull out the pin..... and wait five seconds before you throw it in the bushes... okay?", said Bela in a raspy voice.

Abby took out a grenade from the bag near Bela and pulled out the pin. She leaned against the bush and took a deep breath. After five seconds she got up and threw the grenade towards the sniper. A loud boom and scream filled the atmosphere.

"I did it.", laughed Abby, "The sniper is gone.". Bela and Abby were laughing over their small victory but now the time had come to perform the hardest task, taking out the dagger from Bela's stomach.

"I can't do this.", said Abby, "I will hurt you. I mean.....Don't you have magic. I don't have any qualifications, I am just a kid, wha..... what am I supposed to know about this?". Bela took her hand and placed it towards the dagger, "If you don't take it out now, I will die.", she said.

After a few minutes of consideration, Abby gripped the dagger in her hand and pulled it out, "1, 2, 3.". Abby pulled the dragger out of her stomach as Bela screamed out loud in pain. Abby used her magic dust to heal Bela's wound. The wound disappeared like it never existed.

"Wow, you are amazing at it.", said Bela. Abby fell back to the ground and gave a big sigh, "Oh my gracious that was so freaking stressful.", said Abby.

"Why didn't you use your magic dust to heal your wound?", asked Abby.

"I ran out of fairy dust a few months ago. Didn't get a chance to get more.", she replied.

Robbin and Buster had made it to the general's office. Their hearts were trapped in their throats and perspiration ran down their forehead. The tension in the environment was beyond extreme. They were afraid that they might be caught and executed. The door was slightly open and they heard Richard and the general arguing over something.

"We had a deal; I give you the fairies and you give me the key. Where is the key?", said Richard angrily. The general was a little intimidated by Richard's tone but kept his cool, "I searched Morgan inside out but he didn't have it.".

"Did you check the members of the council?", he asked.

"They didn't have it either.", replied the general. Richard smashed the vase on the ground using his powers. He flew closer to the general and said, "If you can't get me the key, I will take these fairies away from you and you know I have the strength to do that.". The general gulped in fear, he tried his best to assure Richard that he would get his key and this part of the deal still stands strong.

"What key?", whispered Buster.

"I don't know.", replied Robbin.

Richard and the general were arguing over their problem when a gentle knock caught their attention.

"Who is it?", said the general angrily.

"We are here to give you the list, sir.", replied Robbin confidently.

The general permitted them to come inside their office. The office was a spacious cube-like room and its windows were bulletproof.

Straight upfront was the general's main desk, full of computers and papers. There were two sofas in the office facing opposite each other. The middle of the room was carved into a circle with stairs leading towards it. The circle was made of clear glass which gave the view of the floor below them. It was thoughtfully yet amazingly constructed. Robbin handed the list in the general's hand and made their way out of the office. All of a sudden Richard stopped both of them. Buster and Robbin looked at each other and turned around facing Richard.

"Yes.", replied Buster.

Richard walked closer towards them. They feared that their cover might be blown. If this happened then there are zero guarantees that they will make it out of here alive. Their hearts started pounding rapidly, their throats were clenched with fear, and their body started shaking faster than a vibrator. Robbin and Buster managed to sustain their fear because patience was the only element that could get them out of there.

"I want you both to bring me the members of the council. NOW!", said Richard. Buster and Robbin shook their heads and went outside the building. They quickly sprinted their way towards the gutters where grandpa and Helena were waiting for them.

"Are we going to bring the council members to him?", asked Robbin.

"Are you stupid? Of course not.", replied Buster.

They reached the hallway leading to the gutters, several guards were wandering around. Robbin and Buster started walking calmly when they saw the guards approaching. They almost reached the gutters when they heard a thud from the room aside.

Robbin and Buster stopped for a moment and saw a soda can rolling in front of them. A quick minute later, someone jumped from the room and started attacking them. Buster grunted and yelled at the attacker, trying his best to free himself from the attacker. Robbin grabbed the attacker and pushed him away. Buster sprinkled fairy dust in his eyes and got up from the ground. He groaned and fell to the ground. Buster grabbed the attacker's neck and raised his head,

"David?", said Buster as his face lit up with happiness.

"I am so glad you are alive.", said Robbin. Buster and Robbin hugged David tightly.

"We thought we lost you.", said Buster. David couldn't be happier to see his friends standing in front of him alive and well. He looked at them and said, "Mabi and Marvin couldn't make it. I am sorry.".

Robbin rested his hands-on David's shoulder and said, "We lost Mano and Daji too.". There was a depressing silence in the area for a moment.

"Come on we have to hurry out of here.", said Robbin. David looked at him in surprise and said, "Out of here? There is a way out of here?", he exclaimed in happiness.

"Yes. Well... it is not the cleanest way out, but it is a way out.", replied Buster.

"Okay let's go then, we don't have time.". They all ran to the gutters and met up with Helena and Grandpa.

"Thank God you are alive, I thought you were dead.", said Helena as she grabbed David and hugged him till the point of suffocation.

"Okay, so who will go first?", said Grandpa.

"O hell no! I am not going down the gutter.", said David.

"You could either stay here and die, or go down there and survive.", said Buster, "What will you choose. The crew heard a faint voice across the hallway.

"Go, go, go! NOW!", said Grandpa. The group slid down the gutter one by one into the sewer and splashed into the water.

"EWWWWW, this is disgusting!", said Buster.

"Oh my god, oh my god, I think it went into my mouth.", said Robbin and began to gag.

"Could you stop with the gaging, it will make me vomit.", said Buster. Robbin began to gag harder and harder. Helena was the shortest of them all, when she jumped, she completely drowned in the sewer water.

"How you feeling Helena.", teased grandpa. Helena lowered her eyelids, lined her lips in a straight line, and said,

"If you don't look ahead, I will smack your face and poke your eyeballs out. I swear.".

Helena was in the worst situation than Robbin but didn't overreact as much as him. The sewer was absolutely disgusting, the pungent smell of the water was extremely repulsive, and seeing the pieces of poo and other disgusting material floating on the water surface was the breakup point for the entire crew.

"I am going to drench myself in my bathtub and drown myself with perfume.", said Buster.

I can't take this anymore, this is shit, I mean..... literally, there is shit in the water, oh my god, I am going to throw up.", gagged Robbin. Grandpa was barely holding on, the sickening view had him at first but he was determined to get out of here alive. David was pretending to be strong when in reality he was on the verge of fainting.

"Hold up, we are almost there.", said grandpa. The sewer had ended and there were a few metal stairs that led up to a wooden door. Grandpa climbed up and opened the door to make sure that it was safe and clear.

The sewer led them outside the base, just where Abby and Bela were seated. Abby and Bela were staring at the base walls, waiting eagerly for the shutters to open. Just then they heard a noise of a door creaking nearby. They turned their face to see a part of the ground being lifted. Abby grabbed Bela firmly and gazed at the round. Bela had her powers ready when all of a sudden,

"Grandpa?", said Abby.

"GRANDPA!", she exclaimed in happiness. She ran over to him and hugged him till the point of suffocation.

"I mi...", Abby gagged as she came closer to grandpa.

"What (coughed) what is this?", asked Abby.

"You don't want to know.", said Buster as he climbed out of the sewer, his face all worn and disgusted.

"Ugh, you guys smell awful.", said Bela.

"Do you want a hug my friend?", joked Robbin with a big creepy smile as he ran behind Bela.

"That is it? Where are the rest, Marvin, Mabi, Mano, Daji? huh?", asked Bela. Everyone's head turned down in sorrow. A feeling of guilt ran through everyone's mind. Losing their friends wasn't easy but they sacrificed their lives to protect their generation and nothing would stop them to do the same.

"Smole didn't make it too?", asked Helena. Bela nodded her head as tears rolled down her eyes.

A lot of friends and families were lost today. Every drop of blood that was spilled will not go to waste. Their efforts to free the fairies will continue until they could breathe in the fresh air again.

"Did anyone find anything?", asked Bela curiously.

"No, were we supposed to find something?", said David cluelessly. Grandpa asked Buster and Robbin about the guard,

"Why did he call you?", asked grandpa.

"He wanted the list of fairies delivered to the general.", said Buster.

"We overheard them talk about a key. Richard made a deal with the general for the fairies in exchange for the key.", added Robbin.

Grandpa tried to remember any key that the council may have held but nothing came to mind at that point.

"Maybe we should find a place to camp for the night.", suggested Helena.

"First I will go take a bath.", said Robbin. Buster turned around with an annoyed face and said,

"And how will you find a running shower in the middle of the FOREST!".

Robbin directed them back to the waterfall they came from, he pointed towards the waterfall and dove right in. One by one, everyone jumped in the water to be fresh and clean.

The morning had gradually towered on top and, the sky came out in a light blue color. There still were a few stars shining in the sky. The crew laid down on the ground and took a little nap. Abby was still awake and was sitting on a rock nearby, curled up like a turtle in their shell. Grandpa walked towards Abby and sat next to her,

"You okay kiddo?", he asked. Abby raised her head slowly to face grandpa. She looked him in the eye and said,

"Am I supposed to be okay? My family and my best friend are trapped in cells to be tortured, half of your crew died in an attempt to free them, and we are still sitting here with no hope. Anyone could barge in and invade this area. We are not safe.", cried out Abby. This was an extremely difficult timing for everyone, but they had to stay strong and find out a way to save themselves and the others. Grandpa comforted Abby and hugged her. Abby knew it wasn't the right timing to ask about this but she continued to say this anyways,

"Grandpa?', said Abby. He nodded and asked her what the matter was. She then asked,

"Do you know who Miss Swan is?".

Grandpa's facial expressions confirmed that he had no clue what Abby was saying to him,

"Who?". Abby tried to think of another name. That day, when Richard came into the fairy world, he called Miss Swan by a name. She couldn't remember what it was. Abby tried her best to think of it but failed,

"What was it?", she whispered to herself. She started mumbling a few names in her mouth, thinking one of them could jog her memory.

"What are you saying kiddo? I can't hear you properly.", said Grandpa.

Abby continued to mumble different names in her mouth when all of a sudden it clicked,

"NORA! Nora!..... Do you know her?", asked Abby.

Grandpa was not pleased by hearing this name. His joyful face turned into a serious face. Abby noticed that grandpa had some information.

"I know you know..... Please.... Don't hide it from me anymore.".

Grandpa's eyes turned to face the floor as he tried his best to answer Abby's question.

"This story..... is not mine to tell Abby. I can't if your mother doesn't want you to know.". said, grandpa. Abby got frustrated with everyone telling her that. She wanted to know the truth about her life,

"No! It is my life and, I deserve to know about it!", said Abby as she raised her voice in front of grandpa. She got up and stood beside grandpa,

"Grandpa, please!..... All these questions in my head are driving me crazy, I....I.....I... it's like I don't know anything, I don't know anyone. I feel like a stranger and a burden. This feeling.", sobbed Abby, "It eats me up from the inside every...single.....day. I can't recognize anyone anymore.".

"Why can't you.", said grandpa in an attempt to brush off the conversation.

"BECAUSE EVERYONE KEEPS LYING TO ME!", she screamed.

"I LIVE IN A FAKE WORLD. I WORLD OF LIE. THAT'S BECAUSE I DONT SEE ANYTHING CLEAR ANYMORE.", she continued.

At that point, the conversation had heated up very quickly. Grandpa didn't know who to respond to Abby, he had nothing left to say. Grandpa didn't want to tell her the truth because he knew things would change for good.

"If I told you the truth, you will never look at us the same way.", said grandpa.

"THE SAME WAY?!". Abby was at the peak of losing it. She clicked her tongue, gave grandpa a frustrated look, and walked away into the woods.

Things were not going the way they had planned. Grandpa was upset about the fight with Abby, but he had to put his personal issues aside and focus on saving the fairy world. Now with Papa Morgan gone, the pressure of having a new head bothered him.

Grandpa was still seated on the rock and exhaled out.

"Having a tough time?", said Helena as she walked over to grandpa.

"You awake? So soon.", asked Grandpa. Helena chuckled and answered,

"Are you kidding me? Even Pluto could hear you two fight.", joked Helena. She sat down beside and grandpa.

"I don't understand why she is doing what she is doing.", said Grandpa worriedly,

"I get that she wants the truth but why? She has no idea how quickly things will change if she finds anything out. It will kill her. I know her, she can't handle the truth.", argued grandpa.

Helena tried to talk to grandpa and help him understand why Abby is doing this. She went on to say,

"She is a grown-up now.". Grandpa made a quizzical face as he turned to look at Helena. Helena was started by grandpa and said,

"I mean..... enough to make her own decisions. Look.... I don't know what your personal issues are.... but never underestimate anyone's ability to find out the truth. If you keep hiding it from her, will it make her come closer to you or apart.", said Helena.

"But what if she finds out and goes away?", said grandpa.

Helena put a cheery smile on her face and said,

"If you consider her worthy enough, to tell the truth..... trust me..... she will consider you to be worthy enough to be forgiven.".

A spark of realization began to ignite inside of grandpa. Helena's words had moved him greatly. Both of them had deep talks when a loud bang nearby caught their attention.

'What was that', said Buster as he got p from his sleep.

"I don't know it came from the base.", said Helena.

The noise grew louder and louder. The crew had no idea about what was going on, they were terrified and confused at the same time. They looked up and saw jet planes flying on top of the forest.

"What are these nasty humans up to now?", said grandpa to himself.

The crew was gathering their belongings when a bomb hit the ground. A cloud of smoke came from the forest as the trees were burning. The forest went black as the fire from the trees became more furious. A search unit was dispatched in the forest to take a look at the escapers. Unfortunately, the guard in the camera room had identified a few fairies trying to escape through the gutters. There was footage of them sliding through the gutters. Richard was quick to spot grandpa in the footage. He wanted these fairies found so he can get his key.

The entire forest was crawling with search parties. The humans were armed with guns and smoke bombs. They had vision glasses on which enabled them to see through the dust.

"WHERE IS EVERYONE!", screamed grandpa. He gathered the crew and was about to fly away when he realized that Abby was not with him.

"ABBY! ABBY!", yelled out the crew but there was no response from her. The forest was becoming darker and going through it was becoming more difficult. They were trying to look for Abby but the dense smoke made it impossible to walk in.

"We have to fly away right now(coughs) We can't wait here(coughs)", said Bela.

"I am not going to abandon Abby!", said Grandpa.

"IF WE DON'T GO NOW, WE MIGHT NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO LOOK FOR HER AGAIN!", said Helena. Grandpa was keen to go after Abby but the group was persuading him to come with them. The fire was getting higher and higher. With a blink of an eye, the trees began to tumble and fall over.

"WATCH OUT!", said Buster as he flew over to Helena. The tall trees had been completely damaged by the fire and were leaning towards the ground. Helena was standing underneath the tree and didn't notice that her life was in danger until Buster came flying through. He pushed Helena to the side and took up Helena's faith. The crew wasn't given a single chance to try and save Buster. The weight of the tree had completely crushed him. The fact that the tree was burning made it even worse.

"NOOOOOOOOO!", shouted Robbin as he tried to push the tree off from Buster's body. He used his powers to lift the tree while the crew pulled him out.

Buster was seriously injured. His face was burned and his legs were broken. He had multiple scars and bruises all over his body. Despite all the injuries, Buster was still breathing.

"HE IS STILL BREATHING!", said Robbin as he leaned closer to his chest. "HE IS ALIVE!".

Grandpa lifted him up and brought him to the other side. They used their magic dust to heal him. His wounds were quite deep so it would have taken him a little more time to heal. The problem was that the crew didn't have any time to waste. The guards would spot their location in no time. Just as they were about to move to a safer location, the branches crunched nearby and the guards surrounded them with guns.

"Hands in the air! Don't move!", said on the guard.

The fairies were outnumbered by the guns. They couldn't do anything with their magic because they would start firing at them. The crew stood still as the guards tied them up and took them to the base. Robbin and David used their powers to cause the trees upfront to fall and buy them enough time to free themselves. The fairies were walking carefully with their hands tied to their back. Robbin and David signaled to each other with their eyes and brought the blazing tree down.

"Watch out!", screamed the guards in the back. The guards abandoned their locations and began to run away. This was the perfect opportunity for them to escape. Just as the situation worsened. Robbin and David kicked the guards behind them and used their magic to push them far back. Grandpa strangled the guard in front of him, Helena and Bela took down the guards on their left side. One of the guards called for backup, while the other called for the water to be unleashed from the sky. The jets in the sky were set to pour down water to stop the fire from growing once the fairies were found. The crew planned to fly away up in the sky once their hands were released, but the water pouring from above made it difficult for them to execute the plan. Only Bela had the power to fly in rainy weather, she released herself in flew up. For a moment she thought that the rest of them were following her but noticed that they were still on the ground. The pressure of the water wet their wings and they couldn't fly anymore. Bela was brooding down at the rest of her group members trying to find a way to help them out.

"GO! GO! Find Abby!", said grandpa as he was being tackled on the ground by the guard.

Bela retreated after the guards started shooting at her. She flew away and hid above the trees nearby.
