4 Chapter 4: Suspicions

"He said it, he really said it, I can´t believe it. Pffffhahahahahaha."

Challot couldn´t hold her laughter back anymore and burst out in laughter.

Emrissen and Vulcan were loudly laughing as well, while Irene and Belserion were trying hard not to laugh.

Aversia on the other hand was absolutely furies and was running to Zeldaris in order to beat him up.

Zeldaris was unable to react to this, because he was still in choke over what he said, because both really hate the term lizardman that much.

Their hated nickname started as a joke by the palace guards, but it grew so much in popularity that in the end almost everyone coaled them by their new nickname.

At the beginning both were confused why they were called that, after all they didn't look anything like normal lizardman.

Only after Belsarion explained to them that there was a species of lizardman that could take over a human's body and in doing so transformed them into a similar form of the two half dragons. (Basically, they use take over magic like the Vulcans)

And with time transformed their feeling of annoyance over their nickname into hatred and the guards call them that now in order to tease them.

It took everyone to stop Aversia from continuing beating Zeldaris up and calming her down.

"Now that Aversia has calmed down let me tell you the other reasons why I belief that it is not necessary for you to learn our magic." Said Challot.

"Wait, there are other reasons?" asked Averisa.

"Yes, but the reason that I didn't mention them bevor is because they are only suspicions. For example, you two are already being influenced more by your dragon side." Said Challot while pointing at Aversia´s and Zeldaris´s horns.

"And we believe that if you can control your powers, you should be able to control the influence of your dragon side over your body, by controlling and suppressing it. But by doing so you wouldn´t be able to use all your strength at that moment and would need to stop suppressing it turning back to your normal form." (Basically, like the Claymores from Claymore)

"If you knew this all along, why didn't you tell us sooner mom." Asked a confused Zeldaris.

"Like I said, this is only a theory and we have no evidence that proves it, and we didn't want to give you two false hope. We know that you two want a normal human body because you don't want to be different from other children, you want a normal life. But you can´t, because you two are not humans and not dragons, you two are something completely different, you are half dragons. We wanted to give you a normal childhood, but we couldn't, and we know that we are putting a lot of pressure on you and I have to admit that we sometimes forget that you two are only 8 years old. But in order to get such a life you two need to get stronger and fight for your happiness. You two are not the only ones severing and there are others wo have much worse life's, but you have the tool to change your fate, but you have to fight for it, because if you don´t no one else will. So, tell me will you fight?"

Hearing all this Zeldaris and Aversia were thinking about what Challot said and understood that she was right.

(I knew our wish was not realistic, that it was impossible, but life really is unfair. But complaining will change nothing, besides even if I give up now, I know that she won´t and will fight on and if that is the case than I will fight, we will survive, and we will change our destiny.) (Zeldaris)

(So, it was impossible from the start huh? Well not like I have much of a choice. I am not going to give up that easily and I know that he won't either. We have come so far, so giving up now is not an option and I won´t go down without a fight and we will survive.) (Aversia)

Seeing their will to fight in their eyes, both Challot and Emrissen were proud and were thinking what faces they were going to make in the next few seconds.

"Good now that this is cleared, let's go into the city and let's relax." Said Emrissen.

Both half dragons were dumbfounded, and their jaws almost hit the floor.

Seeing this, both laughed.

"You said all about how we couldn't have a normal life and that we have to fight on and after we have prepared us for it and got motivated, you say that we should relax, are you kidding me!" yelled Aversia.

"Hey, it was you two who brought this up not us." Said Vulcan with a smirk.

Realizing that he was right, both looked at each other with non-believing expression on their face.

"Besides, you two have made the most important step and even with the incoming war with the dragons from Alakitasia, we agreed that we are going to give you two more free time and you two need time for the coming changes."

(Alaktikasia is the name of the western continent.)

"But don´t think that everything just now was for nothing, remember everything you felt, because it will be useful for you." Said Irene.

"It is not your time to fight in this war and we will give you the time to grow, so that you two can be free and show the world what you are made of." Said Belserion.

Challot and Emrissen didn´t say anything more, because any more would be unnecessary.

Aversia and Zeldaris looked at everyone and tears filled their eyes.

It was at this moment that they understood how stupid their fought really were and how blind they truly were.
