Midnight Stroll

(Jason's POV)

I sat on a bench near a park. The light illuminated me from the light post.

I quickly put on my shirt and pants and decided to go for a walk. I kinda felt bad for Kyoka. I told her to go back to bed and just left like that.

But I just had to have a little time alone. I couldn't understand what that dream meant. I don't remember much from when I was little.

I let out a sigh as I leaned back on the bench.

"Man..." I said, "What the hell..."

Suddenly, I heard the loud static.

"ATTENTION JASON"

"What?" I said annoyed, "Now's not the time for you...."

"YOU HAVE UNLOCKED A NEW ABILITY"

I sighed and looked at the blue screen.

"What?" I said, "What did I unlock?"

"YOU HAVE UNLOCKED MAGIC PROPERTY ADAPTABILITY"

"What's that?" I asked

"YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO ADAPT TO ANY MAGICAL PROPERTY, BASICALLY MAKING YOU RESISTANT TO VIRTUALLY ANY ATTACK."

"Huh..." I said, "That was random. And isn't that a bit too overpowered?"

"THERE IS A CATCH."

"What?" I said

"YOU MUST HAVE SEX WITH THE PERSON WHOSE MAGIC YOU WANT TO ADAPT TO."

"Really?" I said, "That is not surprising."

I just slouched down and looked at the ground.

I then raised an eyebrow, "Wait, you said person." I said, "You mean to tell me I need to have sex with a guy too if I want to adapt to their magic?"

"CORRECT."

"Pass." I said, "I don't swing that way."

"SUIT YOURSELF."

"Yea go get bent, buddy." I said, "Anyways..."

I placed my hands on my head as I slouched down. I forgot when was the last time I checked on my spells. My Martial Arts Magic arsenal was pretty potent. I had really strong spells, especially the spatial domain ones.

Martial Arts.....

I looked up at the screen, "Hey screen..." I said, "You mentioned before that I could access the other magic trees, right?"

"CORRECT. YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS TO BLACK GOD SLAYER MAGIC AND WAR MAGIC."

"How can I do that?" I asked

"YOU MUST FIRST FULLY UNLOCK ONE TREE TO UNLOCK THE OTHER ONE. YOU CURRENTLY HAVE APPROXIMATELY 15 SPELLS TO UNLOCK."

"That'll take a while, won't it?" I asked

"CORRECT."

"That is a shame." I said

"BUT THERE IS A WAY TO IMMEDIATELY UNLOCK ANOTHER TREE BUT IT IS RISKY."

"What is it?" I asked

"YOU MUST IMPREGNATE A WOMAN WITH MAGIC POWER."

I widened my eyes, "Are you fucking kidding me?!"

"IT IS TRUE."

"Oh well, damn." I said

Before anything else, I felt an intense magic power to my right.

I looked up to see Kagura walking up to me. She had a somewhat serious expression on her face.

"You..." She said as she stood before me

"Me." I nodded

"Do you mind taking a walk with me?" She asked

I shrugged, "Why not?"

"So.." I said as we walked down a street, "You luring me to an ambush or something?"

"I would not stoop that low." Kagura said

"Then why are having a stroll together?" I asked

"Erza has told me about you." She said, "About how you slept with some of the girls in Fairy Tail."

I nodded, "Yea."

"I will warn you." She said seriously, "Do not try that with my guild."

I shook my head, "Wasn't planning on it."

There was a long silence as we walked right after I said that. I didn't like this awkward silence, I really contemplated going back to the hotel.

"Erza also told me something else." She said

"And what's that?" I asked

"That you are strong." She said before stopping

Kagura looked up at me, "Minerva must've told you by now." She said, "We are at War. Mermaid Heel with ally with Sabertooth and Fairy Tail in order to fight this war against Tartaros and their subordinate guilds. This is a serious affair. And I want to know something."

"Yea?" I said

"I want to know if we can count on you." She said, "I'll be honest, I can't completely trust you. But I trust Erza. She says that you are strong enough to be of help. You fought Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox and walked away without any injuries. That alone lets me know you are strong."

I sighed and looked up at the night sky. It looked unusually pretty tonight.

"I suppose so..." I said, "I guess I can help out...."

"I can tell right away when I first saw you." Kagura said, "You have the heart of a true warrior."

I looked at her with a surprised face. Those words, someone told me those words before. I couldn't put my finger on who and when, but I know somebody told me those exact words.

"Jason." Kagura continued as she offered her hand, "Will you join forces with us?"

I looked at her hand.

I didn't know what to say. She caught me at a weird time to suddenly drop this on me.

I reluctantly shook her hand, "Y-yea..." I said,

"I'll be your ally."
