Synopsis

The world of Earth-land is home to numerous guilds where mages use their differents magic for paid job requests. It was commonly known that powerful mages were people with incredible abilities, people who were respected and feared. Fear was definitely what the Hooded Mage inspired. He was strong, insanely strong. He was smart, handsome according to the few that saw his face. Yet he wasn't just that, he was also a mystery. Many tried to recruit him because of his potential, many tried to kill him for his bounty or just because he was too dangerous. However no one could even find him. He would change the world, in many ways. This the story of the most powerful mage in the history of Earth-Land.

Chapter 1Prologue

In the kingdom of Fiore, there are among the common mortals men and women who manipulate magic: they are called mages. To better control them, guilds, places where mages gather and do work to win jewels were created and placed under the responsibility of the Magic Council.

In addition to the need for mage control, this network has other uses. Indeed, it allows to provide a wide choice of mages to the client, and many missions to mages through classified ads.

The world wasn't always working like them. Magic had been feared, or considered as a weapon. Mages have always been used for......Special missions, no one would hire a Mage for a simple task. They were usually asked to kill 'Monsters', solve problems that threatened the security of the Kingdom or, in the case of the Dark Guilds, do some rather dirty work.

The normal people, as the Mages called them, were satisfied with this system, or that's what they just said to not induce the wrath of the Mages. It was just too dangerous for a normal person to oppose a Mage. And that was a problem that most chose to ignore.

But when you think about it, how could civilians or just people who can't use magic, defend themselves against those Mages ? It's simple, they can't. As such many towns had been robbed, many people suffered from the hands of the wizards, and the ones who governed the Kingdom, never cared about that.

Mages were the top priority for the King, even though he was a kind-hearted man he only focused on them, neglecting his people. His daughter however , had been aware of that for as long as she could remember. When she became old enough to take decisions on her own, she did something completely crazy.

She tried to hire the Hooded Mage, a mage feared by all in Ishgar. He was said to be the most powerful mage that ever existed, a fact that was proved when he destroyed the Pergrande Kingdom, the largest country in Ishgar.

The princess knew that she couldn't deal with all the problems directly, hence she focused on the Dark Guilds. Those Guilds were truly dangerous and were considered as the most powerful criminal organisations. Not even the Magic Council could deal with them, yet she was sure that the Hooded Mage would be able to do it.

The man unsurprisingly refused, stating that she was too naive if she though he would attack the Dark Guilds. His last statement shocked her.

"They're a great source of income, why would i destroy them ? For justice ? HA! I know you want to help the people of Fiore, sadly it's already too late, especially with......No forget it."

With that he disappeared, leaving the stunned princess behind. The Hooded Mage was rumoured to be an ally of the weaks, not a guy who worked for the Dark Guilds.

She left it at that, not wanting to remember that meeting since it extremely terrorized her, during the whole time his magical power had pressured her so much she nearly fainted as soon as she met him.

She continued to fight for justice and helped the civilians the best she could, even though it didn't make much difference.

He was really the only one who could deal with all the Dark Guilds, without him............She could only forget about that total peace she dreamed of.

The Hooded Mage continued his life normally after that, working for anyone who had enough money, or enough balls to hire him. He was like that, a boy who fought for money and nothing else. Because that's what he was, a boy. He was quite young actually, the princess was 16 years old when she met him and he was 17.

But one day, while he was on a mission, he met with someone he never thought he would meet. He had been sent on a rather special mission by a member of the Magic Council, normally he wouldn't accept it but the reward was quite huge. The mission was simple, go to a place called the Tower Heaven which was located at the south of Fiore, and kill a man called Jellal Fernandes. This guy was considered as a potential major threat by the council, so it was normal that the reward was appealing.

Yet just before he arrived, he saw something that grealty shocked him. The Etherion had destroyed the tower.........Or that's what he first thought.

He smiled when he saw that the tower was actually made out of Lacrima Crystals. It wasn't the first time that he saw something like that, even though it was still a sight to behold.

'How smart of you Jellal, you're indeed a major threat. I'm wondering why you needed to absorb such a huge amount of Ethernano ?' Since he still had to finish his mission, he entered the tower.

He had to supress a toothy grin to appear on his face, when he saw a certain pink-haired mage fighting against Jellal.

"HOW DARE YOU?! BECAUSE OF YOU, ERZA IS CRYING!!!!"

'Interesting, Natsu Dragneel, the Fire Dragon Slayer of Fairy Tail. But wait........Did he said Erza, as in.........'

He was dumbfounded when he saw her face, when he saw her tears. When he saw her Scarlet Hair.........It was the first time since the day he became an orphan that he cried.

"ERZA!!!!!"
