37 Chapter 37 : You are the monster!

Lucy's eyes widened in astonishment. She finally grasped why Kyros dared to physically confront the train. Perhaps, to the monstrous Kyros, it was akin to child's play.

"Gah!" Lullaby emitted a pained cry.

Kyrosbing didn't halt her assault upon hearing the Lullaby's screams. Instead, she continued her relentless back-and-forth with the colossal creature.

"Boom!! Boom!! Boom!!"

"Wow! Wow! Gah!"

The awe-inspiring spectacle left everyone dumbfounded, their words caught in their throats as they witnessed Kyros's tyrannical mastery over Lullaby.

Who would have imagined that Lullaby, the villainous boss who seemed to hold ultimate power, would be so easily dominated upon its appearance?

"Crack!"

A snapping sound reverberated through the air.

"Huh?" Kyros swung forcefully, only to find his hand feeling oddly light. Upon inspecting his hand, he realized that only a massive finger remained.

"Boom–!!!"

Lullaby collapsed onto the train in the distance, crushing all the train cars beneath its weight.

Kyros gazed at Lullaby with a grave expression. "A formidable foe lost its finger?!!"

"It wasn't just any foe; it was a foe cut down by your own strength," everyone silently lamented, though none dared to voice their discomfort.

Lullaby knelt on the ground, cracks spreading across its body from Kyros's previous onslaught. While losing a finger might be inconsequential to it, recent events revealed that the seemingly harmless figure before it was, in fact, a monstrous entity possessed of terrifying strength.

"You…" Even as a demon, it couldn't suppress its fear. Yet, it found itself cornered with no way out. If it couldn't eliminate this monster, it would meet its demise.

"Perish!! You monster!!!"

Lullaby gathered potent magic in its mouth, unleashing a green magical beam toward Kyros!

"You are the true monster!!"

Kyros bristled at Lullabys' words.

"Om–!!"

The fearsome Conqueror's Haki surged toward Lullaby with overwhelming dominance.

"Boom boom boom!!"

The ground trembled under their clash.

"Boom—-!!!"

The clash between the overpowering Conqueror's Haki and the green magical beam erupted with bursts of black and red lightning.

In a mere moment, the verdant magical beam was engulfed by the Conqueror's Haki.

The Conqueror's Haki onslaught met Lullaby head-on.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!"

Lullaby let out a piercing scream, its colossal form seeming to endure a devastating blow as cracks spread across its surface like fractured porcelain.

"Crash!" The sound of shattering echoed as it collapsed to the ground.

"Cut! I had thought you formidable, but it appears you're naught but feeble," Kyros taunted.

"What?!!"

Nearly everyone's eyes widened in disbelief.

Simultaneously, an immense and menacing pressure radiated from Kyros, as though he was not a human but a fearsome dragon in that moment.

Many members of Eisenwald, overwhelmed by the Conqueror's Haki, succumbed to unconsciousness, foam flecking their lips.

"What... what in blazes is this?!!" Lucy exclaimed, spared from the Conqueror's Haki by her position behind Kyros, barely retaining consciousness.

Erza's smile was knowing as she remarked, "That is Kyros's true might!"

"Wow~!!" Happy exclaimed with excitement.

Natsu, quivering with exhilaration, proclaimed, "Ahhhh! I'm burning up!!! I must challenge him!!"

Lucy protested in horror, "Don't be reckless!!"

Seeing the audacity of Natsu to challenge such a monster, Lucy was horrified; it seemed inconceivable to her that anyone would dare challenge such a force.

"Far... too powerful..." Kageyama, affected by the residual effects of the Conqueror's Haki due to their earlier proximity, trembled, nearly succumbing to unconsciousness like the others.

What manner of creatures had they provoked? Was this the might of the renowned sorcerers of the Fairy Tail guild?

Erza approached Kageyama, demanding, "Speak! What is the true intent behind releasing Lullaby and seizing the train?"

With the storm abating, Kageyama had no choice but to divulge the truth.

As they listened to Kageyama's words, a chill crept over the group. They hadn't anticipated the audacity of their adversaries, intending to employ Lullaby to assault the leaders of all local guilds.

Kyros furrowed his brow and remarked, "They're just a bunch of turtles who suddenly gained power."

Even with the old man's strength, this monster is nothing but a walking death trap.

Suddenly, a voice echoed in the distance.

"Nobody move! We are the ancient knights acting under the direct orders of the Magic Council!"

Soon after, a horde of ancient knights began converging toward their location.

Kyros's expression shifted.

"They're here so quickly!"

"They arrived at an alarming pace!"

"Let's get out of here!"

Without hesitation, Kyros, Erza, Natsu, and Happy dashed away, leaving Lucy behind, bewildered.

In no time, the ancient knights encircled them all.

Lucy stood there, stunned, as she watched the ancient knights close in around her and Eisenwald.

"Huh?... What?!!"
