389. Post-Event

A few days after the event, Ben can be seen training Wendy in their backyard. He is guiding her to improve her Dragon Force and perfect it. She still can't use it freely too because she doesn't understand much about it.

Natsu and Gajeel are also training very hard now because Wendy has surpassed them. They challenge Dragoram Dungeon Tower every day and make good progress. The other Fairies are also training very hard for the same reason.

Wendy's progress was a great hit to everyone in Fairy Tail. She never showed her achievements and kept training hard without showing it, after all. So even her Guildmates never saw her real power. Only her family members know how hard she worked to reach this point.

While Ben trains Wendy in the backyard, Mira is training Elfman and Lisanna in the underground training facility under their house. Their training is more intense, so they need a place that can hold the effects of their training. Elfman & Lisanna also don't want to be left by Wendy, so they asked Mira to train them very hard.

Mira doesn't hold back and she beats them up in their training. Her children will cry if they see their mother becomes a literal demon and beats their uncle & aunt to pulps. Ben knew this, so he asked Carla & Bella to take care of the twins, and now they watch Wendy's training which is not too intense.

"The main problems to activate your Dragon Force are your understanding of it and Magic Power. Your Magic Power is still too low to make your Dragon Force perfect," says Ben while Wendy activates her imperfect Dragon Force.

Her imperfect Dragon Force doesn't increase her power properly. A 70% boost is not bad, but there will be consequences if she doesn't perfect it. Imperfect Dragon Force can ruin her Dragon Slayer Magic's power and Magic Power Container because it's not stable.

"Then what should I do? I start to understand this, but I can't increase my Magic Power as fast as you," says Wendy worriedly.

"No need to worry, I've thought of a solution for that. You just need to increase your understanding to increase the stability of your Dragon Force. My solution won't work well if you don't have a great understanding of your power. You need to understand your Sky Dragon Slayer Magic in general, not just your Dragon Force. So try to pry deeper into your power. It will help you understand more about your Dragon Force," says Ben.

"How should I do it? I've been doing many things to learn more about my magic. So I don't know how to improve it anymore," says Wendy.

"That's because you only see it from your perspective. Try to see it from others' perspectives and you'll find more things that you never even thought about it before. Magic is different from math which only has 1 answer. It can have a lot of correct answers based on the perspectives that are used. A 9 can be seen as a 6 from the other side," says Ben.

"Others' perspective?" ponders Wendy while thinking hard after she deactivated her imperfect Dragon Force.

"Try to ask Wind Mages about their Magic and what they think of it. You will find different answers that will help you find your own answer. You can even ask non-Wind Mages what they thought about Wind Magic if you want," says Ben.

"Just Wind Magic?" asks Wendy.

"That's the basic. You can ask about healing, your buff spells, or ask about your Sky Dragon Slayer Magic specifically. The point is you need more perspectives on your magic because they are important to improve your magic. I always said that you can't just stick to what Grandeeney taught you and explore more of your magic. You are not a dragon, you are not Grandeeney, so don't copy her," says Ben.

Wendy nods as she remembers how Ben always told her that since they were kids. He wanted her to use her Sky Dragon Slayer Magic as she wished, creating spells as she liked, using them freely without getting bound to existing spells, and not following Grandeeney's steps to make her own path of magic.

She now has some original spells that she made herself and some that Ben made for her. The ones she made are still not as good as the ones Ben made, but she likes them a lot and often uses them. She always tries to improve her spells to make them stronger. She's very similar to her brother in that regard now.

The next day, Wendy starts doing what Ben asked and asks some people about her magic. She asks some of her Guildmates first, especially the S-Classes and Dragon Slayers. Their answers are quite unexpected and rather funny because of their strange imagination.

Then 2 days later, Wendy goes to Lamia Scale to meet the most important person to ask. She needs to ask Sherria who has become one of her best friends now. Sherria uses Sky God Slayer Magic, so she must have a lot of advice for Wendy and Wendy can give advice to Sherria too.

Both of them train together because Sherria also wants to know if she can achieve God Force. Ben has shown that mode to the God Slayers like Sherria, Orga, and Romeo. It is more powerful than Dragon Force, but it is also more difficult to achieve.

The easiest to achieve is Devil Force, but it actually has the most risks. Devil Slayers have the highest possibility of turning into demons compared to Dragon and God Slayers. There are pros and cons to each power, but there will always be answers to remove the cons.

Ben is the best example of that. He found solutions to those drawbacks by himself and even made them his power. Now, all Slayer Mages only need to ask him to succeed. The only thing they need to do is work hard, maybe as hard as Ben if they want to follow his steps, but it is easier to say than done.

Anyway, Wendy and Sherria are training hard together and then taking a difficult job together. Bella and Carla join them on this job that almost reaches an S-Class job. Only the 4 of them go to do this job, so it will be ver6 challenging. But such a challenge is needed for their growth.

Ben lets them do it because he knows if he always keeps them under his wings, then they'll never reach their full potential. Jura also finally lets Sherria does this after Ben persuades him. The bald guy is a worrywart despite his tough look and he's always worried about his guildmates.

The girls' job is to retrieve an artifact from a destroyed Magic Guild in the Country of Seven. That guild was destroyed by an invasion of crazed magic creatures. No one knows the reason for those magical creatures' rampage, but they all know those creatures are very dangerous because they could destroy a big guild in one night and gave the survivors trauma.

So the girls' job is very dangerous because they will face enemies that could destroy a guild by themselves. They only need to retrieve the artifact needed by the Council, but they will still go through those creatures. Besides, if they really want to improve themselves, they need to destroy the enemies that also threaten a nearby town.

The girls arrive quite fast with Bella's & Carla's flying abilities. They arrive in 4 days and now they can see why this job is almost S-Class. There are many magical creatures that seem to have mutated and look much stronger than their normal versions.

"What should we do, Wendy?" asks Sherria.

"Hmm, I'm not sure," says Wendy.

"First, we need to rest because we have just arrived. Tomorrow, we will gather information about everything. Then the next day, we will start attacking. I think the best strategy is to fight a few of them at a time and reduce their force slowly. Attacking them at once is only possible if you are Wizard Saints," says Carla.

"Ben can," says Bella while smiling.

"He is a Wizard Saint, so he is included," says Carla.

Wendy & Sherria think it's a good plan, so they agree and the 4 of them go to find a place to rest now. Meanwhile, Ben also has a job, and he is now standing on a tall rock on the coast. Sometime later, 3 ships with Alvarez Empire flags appear on the horizon.

Ben smirks and says, "Even if they are spies, 3 ships are too few, Zeref. But it's good to relieve my boredom."
