265 265. Final Game

In the final round of the Grand Magic Games, the magic vehicle race has started. 4 guilds are competing with 10 magic vehicles in total. 2 guilds use 3 vehicles while the other 2 use 2 vehicles.

Fairy Tail uses 3 vehicles and all 3 are cars that have been modified. Their designs are based on Ben's preference because he was the one who made & modified them with the help of some engineers.

The first car is designed based on Batmobile that has wings on its rear side. Ben doesn't change much of the design because he really likes the batmobile as it is. Well, there will be some difference from the batmobile in Batman because Ben doesn't really know the details and just know its basic design.

The 2nd car is Herbie, a car based on the old Volkswagen Beetle. It may look small and cute but the power hidden under its cover is that of a monster. Its exterior just looks like Herbie except for the number which had been changed into the Fairy Tail symbol.

Lastly, the 3rd car doesn't look like a racing car at all. It is a truck, after all, with the design of Optimus Prime's car form. This car is bigger than any other magic vehicle in this race.

Ben still has some other project cars that he wants to make based on his favorite movies & games. But making them will need time and money so he will do it slowly. These 3 plus his Light Runner are enough for now.

The one who drives Batmobile is Max. Laki & Gea are driving Herbie. Optimus Prime is driven by Vijeeter & Hans. Each car has its role in this race which has been planned by Ben in the 3 days of preparation.

The 3 cars lined up with Batmobile in the front Herbie in the middle, and Prime in the back. The other guilds are lining up beside them so there are 4 lines. They all are prepared to race with their uniquely designed magic vehicles.

Soon, the race starts and Fairy Tail's team moves at full speed immediately. They are really fast because their cars' engines are more powerful than the other teams. Even the big Prime is faster than the old-generation magic vehicles.

The only team that can keep up with them is Lamia Scale which uses 2 new-generation cars too. Those cars are Ben's gift for their help when he wanted to become a Wizard Saint. Their designs are like that of a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and a Mini Cooper.

Ben designed the cars that his company makes based on commercial cars. These 2 cars that he gave to Lamia Scale are the first products of his company. They will be mass-produced but these 2 have special engines and they are fast.

Now Ben starts to regret giving them fast cars that can move as fast as his guild's cars. He should've just given them normal cars that his company will produce.

A little about Ben's car company. It has been just built last December and hasn't sold any cars. They still train their workers and secure materials supply. There are other things to prepare too so they haven't sold anything.

But everything goes well so far and if nothing goes wrong, then they'll be able to sell their products at the end of this year. If his business goes well, then Ben can secure his & his family's future.

Back to the race, Fairy Tail & Lamia Scale are competing in the front. The other 2 guilds can't catch up to them with their old-generation magic vehicles. Their speed is too far apart so these 2 guilds can only compete for the 3rd position.

Fairy Tail & Lamia Scale that race in the front is attacking each other just like the 2 guilds behind them. They use their magic to attack the other team's cars. But Lamia Scale's attacks are futile because Ben has installed magic barriers on his guild's cars.

"Hahaha, those feeble spells won't be able to break our cars' barriers," says Ben while laughing evilly.

"Damn, you've planned this thoroughly. But don't be too happy yet, Ben," says Jura while smirking.

Fairy Tail's team attacks Lamia Scale's team too but their attacks are also blocked by magic shields. Just like Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale has prepared thoroughly for this race. Besides, Ben has installed defense mechanisms on these cars before he gave them to Lamia Scale.

Ben gets very pissed and says, "Damn, ungrateful bastards. You really use everything I gave you to go against me."

"Hehe, that's your own fault," says Jura while smirking.

Ben just clicks his tongue and looks at the screen again. He suddenly smirks because this is still within his prediction. He knows the cars he made the best so of course, he knows their defense mechanisms.

Now, the 2 teams that competing in the front can't attack each other because it's useless. So they try to disturb each other using their cars. Lamia Scale uses their Rubicon while Fairy Tail uses Optimus Prime.

Size-wise, Optimus Prime is bigger so it can push Rubicon easily. While the 2 cars attack each other, the other 3 are rushing, and leave the 2 behind. But then Batmobile attacks the Mini Cooper by slamming its body from the side.

It gives Herbie a chance to move faster and leaves the other cars behind. Now their number advantage has shown a result. But there's nothing that Lamia Scale can do because they only have 2 new-generation cars.

If they use the old generation, they will not be able to catch up to Fairy Tail's speed. The speed of the new & old-generation cars is too far apart. So Lamia Scale can only use the 2 cars that they got from Ben if they want to win because their opponent is the one who made the new-generation cars.

The cars keep moving along the route. The route of this race is from the city to the desert, then the forest, rocky mountain, crossing rivers, another forest, and back to the city. It is truly an off-road race.

As Optimus & Rubicon disturb each other, their speed reduces significantly. It allows the 2 guilds behind them to catch up. They can't let it happen so Optimus releases some balls that release thick smoke.

The cars behind can't see forward and they slowed down. But then they suddenly slip because there is a lot of oil on the track. Optimus released the oil after the smoke bombs.

The ones on Rubicon are impressed but then their car also slips because Optimus also shoots oil to the ground in front of the Rubicon. Vijeeter & Hans who drive Optimus laugh mischievously as they leave Rubicon behind.

Ben smirks as he watches this and Jura's mouth's corner twitches pissedly. He gets more depressed when Max who drives Batmobile also shoots some smoke bombs to obstruct the Mini Cooper's driver's sight and leave it.

The defense mechanisms will block direct attacks aimed at the cars. But they won't block an indirect attack that isn't aimed at the cars. So Ben added the smoke bombs and oil shooter to their 3 cars.

Now, Herbie that never gets disturbed has created a long distance with the 2nd place. Batmobile that has stopped Mini Cooper's pace is moving fast and leaving it behind. Optimus that has left Rubicon is chasing after Mini Cooper to disturb it.

Fairy Tail's drivers don't use another indirect attack anymore and just drive as fast as they can for the rest of the race. Then after driving through the rest of the route, they win the race. Herbie in the 1st position, Batmobile 2nd, and Mini Cooper 3rd.

Optimus couldn't chase Mini Cooper because it is too big so it can't move freely in some areas. But it still takes 4th position and secures high points for the team. So for this Grand Magic Games, Fairy Tail becomes the winner and Lamia Scale is the runner-up.
