169 169. Fairy Tail
After deciding to join Fairy Tail, Ben & his sisters come out of their houses. They've packed everything they have in the village. Most of their items are stored in the spatial storages while some are in bags.
They go out and meet with the others who are ready to leave too. Ben is rubbing his sisters' hair while they hold onto his shirt sadly as they look at their village before leaving. They still have their Guild this morning, but now everything has disappeared.
"Guild is just a place to gather people. What's important is the people themselves. As long as you remember everyone, then they'll still be alive inside your heart," says Ben.
"*Sniff* Yes, I will remember them, there's no way I will forget them," says Wendy while still sniffing.
"Good girl," says Ben while smiling.
"Then we will give you a ride to get out of this forest before we move separately, men~," says Ichiya.
"Thanks," replies Ben.
Wendy then casts Troia on Ben, Natsu & herself so they won't have motion sickness. She has started to feel the motion sickness since a few months ago. So that means she has become strong enough as a Dragon Slayer and that's a good thing.
Although it's quite sad that she can't enjoy riding without Troia, being stronger is better because she can protect herself better now. Besides, she just needs to cast Troia before a ride and casts it again later even though the effect will get weakened.
They all get on Christina and leave the village. It takes them 5 minutes to get out of the forest. They bid farewell to each other before they split based on their groups. Team Natsu then starts to walk away, but then Ben calls them.
"Where do you want to go?" asks Ben.
"Where? We will find a wagon to rent, of course," replies Gray.
Ben blinks his eyes and doesn't say anything before he summons Light Runner. He also summons a big cart that was made specially to be connected with Light Runner.
"If you're fine with technology then we can use this," says Ben.
Gray sweatdrops and says, "Of course, we are fine with it. Why don't you say that you have this earlier?"
Ben connected the cart with Light Runner before everyone get on it. Then they go to Magnolia with Ben, Bella, and Mira in the car while the others are on the cart. Ben opens the car's sunroof so they can talk with each other.
Natsu's & Wendy's Troia spell's effect wears off sometime later and he is wasted. But Ben is fine, so it makes the others confused. He explains his passion for cars is the reason why he will never get motion sickness in a car.
"Although I will feel it on other vehicles," says Ben.
"I don't know motion sickness can be picky like that," says Lucy with a sweatdrop.
The group finally arrive on Magnolia after 4 hours of a slow ride. They get out of the car that stops right in front of the Fairy Tail building.
"Wendy, Bella, Carla, this will be a new chapter in our lives. So prepare yourself for it," says Ben.
"Yes," replies the 3.
The group finally enters the Fairy Tail Guild building and everyone is looking at them. Wendy is clinging to Ben shyly while Carla is inspecting the Fairy Tail Mages. Ben is also looking around while Bella just lays lazily on his head.
"Welcome back, you guys, and welcome for the others," says Makarov from the counter.
"We're back, Master," replies Mira.
"Mira, why are you leaving your job to Elfman and Thunder God Tribe?" asks Makarov while pointing at 4 wasted people at the side.
"Hehe, I think they can do it, so I want to test them," says Mira, obviously lying.
"It's not about their ability to finish it or not. That is an S-Class job, so an S-Class Mage's presence is needed. Luckily nothing happened and they finished it albeit with a lot of difficulties. But your act still endangers your guildmates' lives, so you will be punished after this," says Makarov.
"Eeh~, no way," says Mira dejectedly.
"As for you guys, congratulation on your successful job. But you bring some new faces here," says Makarov.
"Master Makarov, we've known each other for a few years, but your members might not know me, so I'll introduce myself. I am Ben Cooper, this is Wendy Marvell, Bella, and Carla. We were Mages from Cait Shelter," says Ben.
"Were?" asks Elfman from the side.
"Cait Shelter has been disbanded because our Master had passed away. I won't tell you the detail, it's a sensitive topic for us. But you can ask Natsu's team about it. Master Makarov, I believe that you understand what has happened now," says Ben.
"Yeah, I fully understand it. I'm glad that Roubaul-san can finally get his peace after all these years. So, what will you do now?" asks Makarov.
"We want to join Fairy Tail," says Ben.
"Are you sure about that? This place is very different from your previous guild you know," says Makarov while smirking.
"You've helped us many times in the past, so if we need to join a Magic Guild, then we will join yours. Besides, aren't you actually happy to have 2 new Dragon Slayers?" asks Ben while smirking too.
"DRAGON SLAYERS!?" shouts everyone in surprise.
"Heh, you always know what to say. Alright then, I will accept all 4 of you," says Makarov.
"YEAY! 2 NEW DRAGON SLAYERS!" shouts some men.
"TIME FOR PARTY!" shouts Makarov.
"YEAH!" replies everyone.
Then, a celebration is held in the guildhall. The Mages are talking with Ben and Wendy about their magic and experiences. Both of them just say a few things and hide the important or personal things.
Team Natsu also talks with the others and tells them what happened in their job. They also explain what happened with the Cait Shelter so everyone can understand it now. At least now they won't bother Ben & Wendy about it.
The party runs for a long time because these guys really like parties. Some of them even fight and make the party merrier. The Fairy Tail Mages are used to it, but the new members are very surprised by it.
They even challenge Ben to fight and Natsu come first. Natsu rushes at Ben vigorously and sends a punch at him, but Ben dodges it and then flicks Natsu's forehead. Natsu gets flung back and hits the wall because of that flick.
"GYAH! WHAT KIND OF FLICK IS THIS? IT'S SO PAINFUL!" shouts Natsu in pain while holding his forehead.
Ben just smirks and drinks his juice calmly. There's no secret behind his flick, it's just a super-strong flick that he can use because of his strong physique. Well, the attack also focuses on one spot, so it becomes more painful.
The others are looking at Natsu and wonder if it's really painful. But Natsu doesn't seem to lie, so now they hesitate to challenge Ben too. Only Elfman who doesn't hesitate, he doesn't hesitate to not challenge Ben from the start.
Their hesitation makes Ben smirks and says, "Chickens."
Their ears twitch and they are angry now because Ben mocks them as chickens. They immediately rush at Ben together and attack him. But they are too slow for Ben, even Jet who uses a kind of Speed Magic.
He dodges all their attacks and flicks their foreheads one by one. They are sent flying everywhere and then fall on the floor. Then they hold their foreheads and scream in pain at the same time.
"OUCH!" shouts the victims.
Ben sits again and sips his drink before saying, "Nothing beats the Flicks of Love."
Makarov sweatdrops and says, "Where's the love in that?"
