~Third POV~
"Yuri, you're a dad!!"
"Ooh!!"

In the year of X696, the birth of Yuri's son, Makarov was born in the Fairy Tail Guild hall with everyone present witnessed the birth with Mavis and Rou just in time to see the surprise with happy expressions on their faces.
Precht leaning towards the baby Makarov holding in Rita's arms in surprise, "It's a boy…?"
Warrod looks excited and happy for Yuri becoming a father as Mavis's eyes sparkle seeing the baby in Rita's arms along with Rou nearby Yuri's side seeing the baby with Yuri praising his wife by her side, "You did wonderfully, Rita."
Mavis having a goofy grin on her face closes her eyes as she gushes over the baby, "Ah! He's so cute!"
Rou commented surprised seeing the birth and Rita's choice of wanting to give birth in the Fairy Tail guild, "I don't see why she had to give birth inside the guild hall. Isn't it more preferable inside a hospital for the process?"
Yuri merely hits Rou's back in understanding but replied to his friend with a wink and slight blush of his wife's choice, "What can I say old chum? Rita had her heart set on it here. Thanks for being understanding though."
Rou merely nodded with a knowing smirk on his face having no issues allowing it to happen followed by a fist bump to Yuri.
Rita pants tired of giving birth as she tilts her head over to Rou's direction as Mavis gushes over the baby then to Mavis with the honors, "I want my child to have the love of everyone in this guild as he grows up… We were hoping you'd name him, Master."
Mavis gets immediately flustered as well as surprised by the honor, "Wh-what?! Me?!"
Listening to her Rou smirked as did her three friends Warrod, Yuri, and Precht smiling at her for her to do the honors of naming Yuri's newborn child.
"Please, Mavis?"
"I think Pippoko is a good name."
"You can't leave it to us! We got nothin'!"
Suddenly being put on the spot Mavis looks over to the baby Makarov smiling or burping causing her to smile coming up with the name, "Makarov. It's from a book I read a long time ago. Makarov was a kindly king."
Rou nodded his head knowingly with the name, "Good name."
Yuri soon takes hold of his newborn son happily lifting his baby, "Makarov! I like it!"
Precht returns to his default expression pondering why not his name of choice, "What about Poppoko?"
Warrod merely laughs happily agreeing with the name Mavis came up with and Precht's idea of a name, "Makarov!! From now on, your name is Makarov!"
"Baaa!"
The baby Makarov cried out while Mavis grasped hold of the tired Rita's hand happily talking about the future, "For the sake of his future… we'll have to… we'll have to join hands… and work together for a better future."
"YEAH!"
Everyone congratulated Yuri with everyone watching the baby making faces causing the baby Makarov to laugh as Rou and Mavis both let their guild members view the new addition to their family.
Slipping away from the people of their members the two sneaked out when everyone was too busy as their smiles then expresses frowns thinking of the choices, they have to deal with making a difficult choice.

Returning back home with Rou sitting on the table with Mavis sitting across from him he took in a deep breath before finally responding, "Sigh… it looks like we don't have much choice do we in our situation? We or one of us has to go to the future to destroy the Eclipse Gate after the year of X777…"
Mavis has her eyes down on the table with her hands clasped together before agreeing with Rou sucking her lips, "Yeah… after seeing Makarov as a baby…. And knowing the future he'll die protecting his family from my future self-words… it's really hard to take it all in but…"
Silence befell the two as a sense of unease befell on their shoulders making the difficult choice of leaving the past to go towards the Future to ensure they prevent a dark future but in return, they sacrifice their own past lives for it.
They sacrifice the bonds they made over the years with the members and friends they made along the way bitterly taking in the situation of their actions…
And yet both of them knew what needed to be done and they would do it if it meant saving the future of such a cruel fate.
Both soon took in a deep breath of air before finally responding to what they had in their thoughts with Mavis breaking the ice, "Sigh… I guess will both go huh… No way I'm staying here without you. Bet it's the same with you right?"
Rou for his part helplessly shakes his reply to Mavis in agreement with her words, "Yeah… it would pretty much be worthless if I can't spend with the woman, I love, now can I?"
She smiles happily as the next question comes to her what to do next in a curious tone, "Right. But… how exactly do we reach past X777 anyway? Can't exactly time travel into the future unless we open the Eclipse Gate in the past…"
Shaking his head Rou conducted another means going towards their version of The Memory's Day Book explaining his theory into the future, "There is that method, but I have another. We have someone from the future… Future Levy. Future Mavis is already gone but others joined along by her can stay in the past. All we can do is let her take the book along with us into the future trying to forget a memory she wants to forget."
At this Mavis thought for a bit before finally nodding in agreement but she also flinches a bit recalling the future ahead, "Yeah… but that involves a lot of risk Rou. For her to forget what she wants to forget it would be very hard to come up with. In all honestly, this is a gamble but… it's one with the least risk to the timeline."
Listening to this Mavis nodded at this thinking what steps were necessary for them to come to this decision biting the nail of her thumb, "Yeah… and add the fact she's the only one that lives past the X777 we don't have a lot of options here. We really are left with no choice in this right? Basically, we are placing ourselves at the hands of 'fate' the very one that caused us to end the world in the future. Oh, the irony of it all."
Rou dryly laughs at this before finally replying to Mavis with a sly grin on his face, "Still though… no matter what happens we have to prevent that future from occurring. As you said before… the world will be against us. This won't be any different."
Mavis smiles at this.
"Good."
The two got alerted to see Future Levy's eyes retaining some color again and light holding The Memory Day's Book placing it on the table, "Because… I can't do it anymore… seeing my friends die by their hands. My Mavis returned my body as she was sent back to the past leaving my body here bypassing the rules of the book…. But I do know maybe… just maybe things can change if you two can do it. Just please… change the future."
Hearing this the two-expression changed recalling Makarov's birth and to the one crying before they finally found their answer with a smile on their face.
Getting their resolve and answer the two finally agreed to do what it was done with Rou finally replying to Future Levy patting her head, "No worries my little daughter yet to be. I'll be sure to set things right. But before that, we need to prepare a few things… and gather our belongings of what's needed to be done."
Mavis nods in agreement replying to Future Levy pulling her into a hug between her buxom with a gentle motherly embrace, "You have done well my little fairy. You can leave this to us adults to protect our home. You certainly earned your fairy tale ending."
Future Levy could only cry remembering and forgetting this sensation of familiarity of her time when she was within the Fairy Tail guild as flashes of them appear in her mind of times joy.

Leaving them alone for a bit Rou began to hurry along to make the necessary items along with tools needed with his fist clenched more determined mumbling to himself, "No worries. I'll make sure to put our future and those of our guild a bright one ahead. After all, it's not only mine but those of my own children."
Rou paused a minute thinking about the words he just spews out of his mouth before calmly smirking to himself at the notion he in, "Right. Now I'm starting to talk more like Makarov or like Mavis. Heheheh... She really rubbed off on me huh… No matter. I got some items to prep work."
Like that, the two wizards began to prepare before the coming time to change against fate…

A green light shined brightly as Mavis, Rou, and Future Levy began to travel to their destination with surprise on the duo's faces as Mavis comments on the familiarity of the land and yet different at the same time, "Wait… I know this place. Isn't this Magnolia? But why here though?"
Rou for his part nods in agreement gazing at the busy town with a smile on his face witnessing it again, "Yup! This is definitely Magnolia alright… strange not a lot of things changed around here though?"
Future Levy soon sees Magnolia town with a knowing look as she began to speak out with tears escaping her, "Right… if there was one place I didn't want to remember again it would be this time… the place where I found my beloved and knew the meaning of despair."
Rou soon frowns as did Mavis learning what happened from Future Levy's words mumbling in sadness of the future events that are bound to happen, "Right… were in the future now then that means… everyone we knew is either gone or still kicking. I'm hoping to find some good friends again."
Rou mentally frowns knowing what befalls Precht in the past to become Hades in the present they reside in after making the final news of making Precht of the Second Fairy Tail Guild Master in a private matter.
They didn't fully explain to him why they had to go but knew they couldn't say they were requested by Zeref of all people to save the future leaving them in a bind of what to do and not mess with the timeline unless they want to complicate matters bringing time travel into the mix.
Like that, they turned to Future Levy as the two gave her one final hug wishing her the best of luck in the past and hopefully finding peace.
After 6 hours Future Levy returned to the past to live out her days in peace when the era of humans reigned leaving Mavis and Rou to face the future ahead…
As they soon enter around seeing the town their eyes widen seeing something awful seeing their original Guild Building destroyed by iron pillars listening to the whispers from the Fairy Tail members.
Mavis and Rou were both deeply distraught as their expressions darkened seeing their pride and joy of their home destroyed in front of them…
But to Rou however, seeing the iron pillars meant one thing that clicked in his mind, 'The Phantom Lord arc…'
