22 Chapter 22: Demon Bear (2)

*April 13, Year 772*

*Afternoon*

"ROOOOAAAAR!!!"

I quickly pulled Cana and jumped to the side narrowly dodging a claw swipe that left a deep crack in the ground.

We retreated a couple of tens of meters away before finally looking at the beast that attacked us.

This Beast is huge, a full 4 meters fucking tall, and about 3.5 meters long, it has 50 cm knife-like, claws that glint with a sharp light, With a body full of scars exuding a fierce aura all over its body.

"This aura?! LOW E-rank Bear demon?!!" I couldn't help but shout.

I was thinking when a shout snapped me out of it.

"It's trying to help the other bear!!"

I quickly looked and saw that the tall bear is indeed reaching out to help the other bear trapped below.

I looked at Cana and noticed that she was shaking. I put a hand on her shoulder and grabbed my spear and rushed to the bear.

"This is no time to be scared! Let's stop this bear from rescuing the other one quickly or it will be much harder to deal with them."

Feeling the warm and firm hand on her shoulder, Cana took a few breaths to stop her body from shaking. And with burning determination followed John to stop the bear.

As I rushed at the bear, knowing that my spear will not be able to pierce its thick defense so I thought of a place that almost every being has.

An Asshole!

As I finished thinking about where to attack, I arrived behind the bear and enhance my body with magic. Time seems to come to a still, as both Gildarts and Cana thought about what I'm about to do.

Feeling a chill from behind, the bear turned around but it was already too late as its ass seem to suddenly fill up. And then the pain surged to its head and it roared.

"ROOOAAAAR!!!"

A roar filled with pain and sorrow echoed out scaring small animals away.

Seeing this Gildarts and Cana almost dropped to the ground.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!"Gildarts laughed," I didn't expect it kid, that you're such a shameless child, attacking the rear? HAHAHA!"

"John, how could you do such a thing?" Cana asked with eyes tainted with fake disappointment.

I quickly let go of the spear dodging a swipe from those sharp claws as it chased me around, I shouted at her.

"Stop Standing there and help me already!!"

" Okay Okay," She said as she rushed to the bear and punched it, helping me to distract it as much as possible I circled around the bear and saw the spear deep inside the bear's ahem...

Seeing the handle I gave it a magic-enhanced kick making it tremble at a fast rate, making the bear bleed even more.

"ROAR"

The bear roared even more feeling the pain in its body.(Poor bear, F in the comments for bear)

We repeated this tactic until the bear got exhausted and can't even move.

"ro...ar"

Poor bear he just wanted everything to end.

Seeing the exhausted bear, me and Cana both sat down and panted as we felt the sweaty clothes we were wearing.

I rested for a few minutes before taking out a shovel from the Mage's Sanctuary and walked to the bear.

" I'm sorry bear-san, Don't worry I'll end your pain today."

I said a few more words of comfort and then grabbed the shovel and killed the bear. I quickly took out a soul-storing lamp made of Ironwood and sealed the soul of the bear inside it.

Seeing that the hunt was finally over, Gildarts walked over to us with a basket full of fish and said.

"Not bad, Faster than expected though what you did to the bear is a bit cruel, it works I guess."( he's talking about bear-san's a**)

My mouth twitch a few times at the last word but I ignored it and asked an important question.

"Can I keep its body?"

"Sure thing"

I touched the corpse and put it directly into the Mage's Sanctuary.

Gildarts seeing this couldn't help but say,"Now, That's something convenient, Where did you learn it from?"

"It's Innate."

"Aww so bad. Maybe I should sell you to the magic development bureau? You should fetch for a hefty price." While saying this Gildarts has an evil grin and walked to me.

He took one step, and I retreated one step, this kept going for a few more times, then I fully ran out with Gildarts chasing right after me with an evil grin.

This went on for a few more minutes when Cana recovered and got up.

Looking at this scene her eyebrow twitched a few times wondering if these two guys are children, well one of them is but her dad is a full-grown man can't he act mature?

She sighed and got between John and Gildarts.

I quickly hid behind Cana and pointed at Gildarts then said" Cana this bad uncle wants to sell me to some demon bureau."

"What! How could you do that dad? Hmph! I won't talk to you for a week."

Seemingly receiving a divine punishment, Gildarts froze and then quickly rush to Cana's side and said.

"Nonononono, Cana please don't ignore me, I won't sell that kid anymore and besides I was just joking."

But sadly Cana ignored his pleas and didn't talk to him.

Seeing that it didn't work, he looked at me and our eyes met.
