15 Chapter 15: Cana's First Job

* Earth Land, Ishgar, Fiore *

* Evening *

I stayed by their side as they talked about everything they've been through. After all of that Cana was getting sleepy so we bid farewell to each other and went home. I slept on the bed as soon as I arrived home.

* February 11, Year 772 *

* Morning *

After I've done my morning routine I went to the guildhall, As I was walking there I bumped into the pair of father and daughter. I walked up to them and said Good morning.

"Good Morning Gildarts and Cana going to the Guildhall?"

" Yeah, I need some good beer in the morning." Said Gildarts with a smirk.

" Yes, I'm super excited for my first job," Cana said while jumping around and waving her arms showing how excited she is.

We chatted a bit as we walk to the guildhall, where we separated as Gildarts went to the bar to get himself a drink. While me and Cana went to the job board where I searched for Jobs that are appropriate for beginners like her.

As I was searching I found a job that is easy and interesting at the same time. It's mentioned in the anime that Yajima hires some wizards from guilds to come work at his restaurant. I quickly searched for the job, but then I remembered that Yajima will only build a restaurant after the tower of heaven incident.

I quickly found a similar job after looking around for a while more.

Description: The restaurant has been having many customers recently, so we're running out of manpower, So we'd be hoping that someone will accept the job and help us out.

I picked it up from the job board and headed towards Old man Makarov when Cana blocked me.

" Can you show me what Job we're doing??" She asked with curiosity all over her face.

I showed her the Job poster, she quickly took it into her hands and started to read it. After reading it she looked at me with an annoyed expression.

" We're only doing this? why not kill monsters like what dad did?" She asked confused and annoyed at the same time.

"Because you're weak that's why we're doing this job." I answered her flatly.

" What I'm not weak I even know how to use magic." She said as she lift her arms like portraying that she's strong.

" You're not that skilled in card magic, what can your attacks even do to magical creatures?" I reminded her that she only learned magic for like three days only.

"Hmph! When I get stronger let's go on a monster-killing quest then. My Dad said that he will be teaching me Crush magic after my first job." She said proudly that she will learn magic from Gildarts.

I sweated a little bit at the thought of a humanoid T-rex that she will become in the future after learning that magic.

We then headed for the bar where Old man Makarov and Gildarts are talking while drinking first thing in the morning. We heard them talking for a bit as we got closer.

" I'm thinking of taking a break before taking the century quest, I will be teaching Cana in the meantime during this break." Said Gildarts to Makarov.

"That's fine you needed a break every once in a while to spend some time with your family." Nodded Makarov agreeing to Gildarts decision to take a break for some time.

They heard us as we sat by their side and showed Makarov the job that we will be taking today.

" We're taking this job since it's the easiest for the current Cana to do this job."

" This is indeed easier than what you did for your first job but it's fine for Cana." Said Makarov after taking a look at the Job poster.

"Are you gonna be ok Cana. You sure you don't want dad to be with you on this job?" Gildarts asked on the side like a daughter con.

"I'm gonna be fine dad besides I have John with me I'm sure that I'm gonna finish this job fast." Cana declined Gildarts offer and said that she was strong enough to do this job.

" Then we're going Old man Makarov and Uncle Gildarts." I quickly grabbed Cana's hand as I spring for the exit as fast as possible.

Gildarts paused for a second and immediately got up and started chasing after us while the whole guild laugh.

" You brat I'm not an uncle I'm only in my early thirties!" He shouted while blasting the door but we're are already away by then.

After he calmed down he looked down at the doors and sweated a bit. He heard a loud shout from behind along with a giant arm.

"You damn Brat! Destroying doors and walls everywhere. Come here I'll teach ya a lesson." Makarov shouted as his giant arm grabbed Gildarts and pulled him to the Training area. The other members seeing that there will be some action quickly ordered some food and went to the training area to watch Gildarts get beaten.

As all of that was happening we reached the boar's hat restaurant, it reminded me of the Boar hat restaurant in the seven deadly sins anime just a little bit bigger than that one. As we headed inside a strong smell of pork immediately hit our face as the restaurant's specialty is pork dishes.

We saw that people were eating happily with their families. After that, we started walking to the receptionist in the restaurant to report for the job. The one that is manning the counter is a young lady named Ella, at least that's what her name tag says.

"Hello Welcome to Boar's hat, what would you like to order?" She asked with a wide smile as she noticed as walking to her.
