Chapter 5: Blue Pegasus

(Kaden POV)
A shirtless 18 year old man was standing before a mirror, as his slightly long unkempt hair was tied in the back. He was 6'7" tall, physique was neither too bulky or thin to the point where it looked perfect, tan skin and a well-defined jawline with a pair of lean lips, stern light pink eyes that looked unfriendly yet kind, as he stood there observing his body. The boy put his clothes on.He was wearing a clean white shirt with a black waist coat on top of it, his collar was neat and tidy, paired with black pants and shoes. People can see his muscles bulging out of his clothes.
'No more scars, clean, and pristine... like it never happened' he thought to himself as he makes his way outside. Kaden goes down stairs and makes his way to the door, as he looks back and sees the empty counter his eyes go lifeless for a second until they start shining again. When he exits the bakery, he locks the shop, and makes his way to the awaited event that he was much excited for.
During the past 10 years he bought skills when he worked and lived in the bakery...

A/N: You can look-up these skills or wait for the auxiliary chapter of explaining them as some changes may occur to some of the skills suit Kaden and his stats and such. Ex. Absolute Def. uses stats that aren't available to Kaden so I changed the stats that are required.

Bob: "Ah! Who might you be young man?" he blushes and puts his hand on his cheek.
"I'm Kaden, and I wish to join your guild" he replied, his voice didn't sound very friendly, though it was pleasing to listen to.
Bob:"You must be the one Eve has been mentioning! I heard a lot of great things about you! Of course you're welcome to join the guild! HIBIKI!" he yells in a rushed manner.
"Y-Yes?" a dark blonde haired man, he looked pretty. He also looked kind of shook due to being yelled at while he was flirting with one of the female members.
Bob: "Get this young man the official Blue Pegasus mark"
"Haha, please follow me" as he gives me a wink.
'I swear to god I saw a heart pop out of nowhere... magic?'
I got their mark on my left arm, and of course it's blue. Eve runs up to me, as his face shows excitement.
"Kaden! I'm so glad you finally joined!"
I nod to his response as he could get pretty annoying. I met Eve out of pure coincidence, and I was shocked when I first saw him.

(Kaden POV)
The streets of Clover Town were bustling as usual. There was vibrant green trees, florals with a dozen hues, the peaceful atmosphere with people yelling and children playing. The usual bakery that used to have barely any visitors was crowded. People were quick to snatch the bread and and quick to pay to leave as soon as possible due to pickpockets.
'My [Baking] skill has turned out to be troublesome... sigh...'
"I'd like to pay please!" A young boy with bright blonde hair, he looked cute, as he was above the standard. He was wearing a yellow shirt with a striped purple and white tie. On the counter was a huge pile of packaged bread. He was non-other than Eve from Blue Pegasus
Kaden:"You seem to like it a lot I assume..." I was trying to have a conversation with him, as being acquainted won't be a bad thing.
Eve:"Ah! My guild mates like your bread too, so I got enough for everyone!" he smiles in embarrassment.
I start packing them, and seeing how much people are here. I decided using anemo magic to put them all in paper bags. It was quicker and more effective method, as I don't want people to wait.
Eve:"Wow you can use magic?"
Kaden:"I'm proficient in it... anyways here you go"
I handed him the paper bags packed to the brim with bread. He thanked me and left immediately, as if he was in a rush to do something. After that encounter, and days go by quickly. I started getting an itchy feeling of someone staring at me, but I thought it was nothing because there wasn't any malice.
I had many girls trying to flirt with me, due to my looks, as I look somewhat older than what I actually am. I look extremely handsome, as years passed by my charm kept growing. I thought it was a typical stalker, and brushed it off.
One day I made a special bread of mine that was limited. The store got rowdy, extremely chaotic, and I got mad because they were messing up the shelves. So I started singing to calm the people down. After the commotion settled people looked at me in awe. Girls were practically begging me to marry them. They were cheering, "One more song! One more song!" It's not like I didn't like it, but it was too overwhelming for me. So I kicked everyone out of the store and closed for the day.
People started spreading rumors about me and the store, and it grew in popularity. I had to bake double than I was used to, as I kept getting more customers everyday. That's when Eve came up to the store one day and said...
"Please join Blue Pegasus!"
I was shocked, then I became happy, after that a little disappointment. I still have to wait, as I made a vow to myself. I wasn't disappointed at Eve, as I would like to join Blue Pegasus as it's in my plans. I was disappointed because it didn't come sooner, if it did I wouldn't have made that vow and would likely join them as soon as possible. I was already prepared for it too, but I held myself back. I'll likely join Blue Pegasus, when Lucy joins Fairy Tail.
Kaden: "Sorry, I've got a bakery to run and I'm very busy; however, I'll take you up on your offer just give me a few years."
Eve: "Does that mean it's a yes?"
I nod.
Eve looks at me with ecstasy, as he seemed to had those eyes that seemed like a fanboy.
He runs out, as he is probably going to tell his guild.
'I hope they don't rush it...'
A few weeks pass and rumors started going on that I'm joining the Blue Pegasus guild. I ignored it as it was true but I'm not going to join it as of now.
A month passed, Eve visits the store to buy some bread every so often. Then one day a guy tells me he wants to interview me and that he's from sorcerer's weekly. Apparently Eve has been boasting about me, as he was probably there when I was singing and heard me. "Blue Pegasus' Songster" he says... I could only sigh.
After the interview, he asks if I wanted to be in the Top 10 Men magazine. I accepted as he was paying a lot. The [Modeling] skill was pretty useful, and I was pretty shocked that I get boosts for nude art modeling too. I easily placed 3rd, as I wasn't well known enough but my looks made up for most of it.
Blue Pegasus liked to recruit icons, so me gaining popularity is a plus. After that I did the usual, and sometimes I get skills or stat points.

(Kaden POV)
I look at the request board and look at the jobs, as I'm an A rank mage due limiting myself from practicing too much. Being distracted and busy with running a shop helps with me being a training junkie. Even so I'm probably the strongest in the guild besides the guild master.
I see a quests dealing with rampaging magical creatures nearby, so I took it.
[Ding! New Function Unlocked! [Quests] ]

Rewards: x5000 SP, x1 Random Item Ticket
Penalty: Monsters destroy nearby towns.
A/N: Sorry I wanted to rush it, as I don't want readers to be bored of too much slice of life and I wanted to write a few more action scenes as there hasn't been any.
