The blinding white light makes me flinch.

I close my lids to relieve the pain, the sting making my eyes water. I have been laying here on this white medical bed for hours. Cords hooked to me everywhere, a large headpiece that emits a blue light.

They are in the process of wiping my mind of the intolerable romance Ajax and I experienced, it's not enough just to erase Ajax's. I get it. I could just tell him what happened, right?
