2 Late Night Encounter

I woke up and looked at my watch. It told me 1:33 am. Pushing the blankets to one side, I sat up and looked around. It was pitch black outside as the fire seemed to have burned out.

I got to my feet, put on my shoes and picked up the torchlight before exiting the tent. Switching on the torchlight, I shone it toward the ground in front of me and started to look for some bushes.

It was dead silent and extremely quiet. The only sounds I could hear was the crunching of dead leaves under my shoes and the rustling of leaves when a sudden breeze was blowing.

I headed behind some bushes to do some small business before making my way back to the tent.

Suddenly, I heard a sound of something falling and froze. I spinned toward where I heard the sound and shone my torchlight in front of me. It came from the forest. I squinted my eyes to see better and saw a brief shadow of a person flash through the forest.

"Hello? Is anyone out there?" I shouted and gripped my torch tighter.

After waiting for a few seconds and getting no response, I decided to walk towards where I saw the shadow.

Using the light from my torch as a guide, I slowly entered the forest. The air was unnaturally still and quiet at that moment, making it seem as though the scene came out of a horror movie. Thinking about all the possible cliché outcomes that would happen in a horror movie, my hands started trembling as I tread closer. Regrets filled my mind as I recalled all those times I was forced to watch horror movies with Azure and Jessica.

"Hello?" I called again as I turned a corner and shone the torch in front of me.

The scene in front of me sent shivers down my spine and I could feel my blood turn cold. It was as if someone dumped icy cold water all over me.

There was a boy that looked about my age with curly auburn hair that hung over his closed eyes as he leaned back against a tree. He had an extremely handsomely beautiful face that could put women to shame and turn men gay.

What was most shocking were the amount of wounds all over his body. He was covered in cuts and gashes from head to toe, causing his entire body to be a bloody mess. His limbs were spread out over the forest floor as he laid unmoving with his head propped against the tree. I stared at him in shock for a few good seconds. That was the most amount of fresh blood I had ever seen in one place.

"Oh my goodness, are you alright?!" I exclaimed, snapping out of my trance. I stumbled toward the boy, dropping my torch halfway.

Moonlight illuminated the area as it shone through the gaps of the leaves above him and reflected off the fresh blood on his body.

As I got closer, I realized the wounds did not look to be as severe as it seemed from moments ago, but he was still bleeding profusely.

I knelt down and inspected the boy. Most of his blood soaked clothes were torn apart into pieces, especially the torso. Up close, I could see that the most serious wounds on his body was on his chest, extremely close to his heart.

I ripped a piece of cloth from my shirt sleeve with slight difficulty and pressed it to his chest with as much pressure as I could exert. Blood seeped through the cloth and stained my hands almost instantly. He needed serious medical attention, and fast.

"Please hold on for a few more minutes, I'm going to get help." I said in a panic and pushed myself up while wiping the blood off my hands onto my pants.

Just as I was about to turn around and run back to the camp to get help, the boy opened his eyes sharply, causing me to jump and walk backwards a little.

"You..." I was about to say something when the color of his eyes caught me off guard. I gasped.

They were bright red and glinting from the shine of the moon. I could feel intense murder coming from them from where I stood. The boy looked at me and slowly got up.

"Hey, wait! You should not be moving right now! I'm going to come back quickly with extra help." I said nervously and turned around.

Before I could even take a step forward, I was pushed to the ground. Turning my body around to face upwards, I came face to face with the boy as he pinned my arms down. I looked at him in disbelief and watched as the wounds on his face and body started closing and healing at a fast speed by itself.

I did not have the time to react when he smashed his lips against mine.

At first I laid on the ground like a statue, incapable of conveying my emotions.

Then the pain started.

At first it started from my collarbones, the sharp pain of cutting oneself. After lingering at my collarbone for what seemed like an eternity, it then started travelling to the rest of my body.

Pain engulfed my entire being and I tried to scream but he kept his lips over mine as I helplessly struggled under his weight. The sounds of leaves rustling under my struggle echoed through the otherwise silent forest. Tears were leaking furiously out of my eyes, and my vision became blurry.

It was just a kiss, so why did I feel as though my whole body was being burned in fire?

I became so delusional from the pain that consumed even my bones and started convulsing. The last thing I remembered seeing was the red eyes of that beautifully sculptured face before my mind gave out and I fainted.
