Life before 16

"Good morning sunflower" mom said and open the curtains I felt pressured to get out of bed "happy birthday sunflower" "you remember" "excuse me I gave birth to you remember" mom laughed while giving me a kiss on my forehead "get ready" she said and exit my room.

My name isn't sunflower that's just what my mom calls me, it's actually Dana and this is my story let's start at the beginning I was born in Australia to asian parents that were a little too young to have a child.mom and dad elope to Australia when she got pregnant with me, their relationship were strong until dad left without a trace when I was 9 so mom had to move us cause we couldn't afford to wait for dad.

My social life has always been a big NO but atleast I had a friend but moving left me as an outcast, I got along with no one in this new town and was literally a ghost at school, I was once forgotten on a school trip neither the teachers or student remembered until my mom made a complaint and from that day I became the girl who was forgotten which was better than being a nobody.

Highschool came like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from,it started with me being bullied first day of school and it continued I kinda wish I was a ghost again so I did by always wearing a black hoodie, keeping my head down, always silent and never showing I was smart in class and so I became a nobody again atleast I wasn't bullied.when I taught things couldn't get worst well it did it got so much worst.

School hallways are the worst even when nobody is looking you feel all eyes on you like daggers being aimed at you and then imagine fainting in that hallway,I can already hear them giving me nicknames.i woke up in the hospital my mom by my side crying 'my mom wouldn't cry for such a small issue' I thought "sunflower... I'm sorry" she cried out "what's wrong" I asked she explained to me " so I have one year to live" I said breaking down in tears, I told you so much worst than I could imagine.
