1 Codex #000

The retaliation does not go well. Most of my people now fight, not to protect, as the king had declared so long ago; but to repay in kind the Ravenous seekers of conquest the despair they've brought to our world. But even so, the will of our warriors continues to crack under the weight of their strength. Cities after cities have already fallen to the ravenous and unrelenting invaders, who wield the strength to rival our own. With the death of the residing captain in Panmor, the city and the surrounding area had been reduced to cinders. Enraged by the act, our people decided to launch a counter attack on one of their stronghold ships, the Diablo. In the midst of the planning phase, the Templar commander, Lord Richard Aiman, disappeared during a minor mission to recover a precious cargo that remains unknown as of now. As a desperate measure, his son Alexio has taken up his post till they relocate him. The Templar knights, in the commander's stead, now coordinate defenses and at the Decagon among other captains. The captains made sure the news of absence of central command would reach neither our enemies nor our people, lest more bodies had piled up on our conscience. Today, the 15th of May, marks the 1460th day of the war of our lives. On this day, fate seemed to relent to our desperation, for the commander's suit telemetry temporarily showed up on our scanners. This stroke of luck was not overlooked by our new commander, who immediately had the Decagon pin point the location of the signal. I wonder now, how much of this is planned and how much merely fate, as then the signal showed up on the very ship, The Diablo. With not a moment's waste, Alexio assembled the Templars to explain the plan to retrieve the commander, leaving one, Riku, in case worst may befall them. Despite suspicions of a trick, the unrelenting Templars and their commander took off in a drop ship towards the Diablo, disregarding (or rather failing to consider) the anti-air defense on that flying fortress. Last thing I saw was the drop ship lighting up like a cracker in the sky before I headed down to relay the same to the captain.

Damn the Kridora scum to the pits!
