Kyrie did not doubt that Ouro could and would kill Crowe given the opportunity, but the Valkyrie would never do this in a circumstance where the blame could be drawn back to her. For all of her sociopathy and insanity, she was not a slacker.

She was sharp and deadly. Kyrie felt the lie within Spencer's tone. 'If anything, it appears that Mary said how I treated and thought about Ouro, and betted that I would buy it based on my emotions.' Spencer was blessed with emotional intelligence and sharp wit.

It was not beneath his skills to lie in such a way and convince someone his words were the truth. Kyrie clicked his fingers against the table, waiting for the continuation of Spencer's tale. "We do not know how she escaped, but we plan to capture her."
