2 Chapter One : Memory Ride

-Flashback 1-

"Hi there~! I'm Joy! How about you?"

"I'm Dusk-"

"How delightful to meet you!" she cut me off and shook my hand.

"I'm Joy. I like parties! And don't ask me to remove my mask cuz' I won't" she literally screamed at me.

"Sure! I'm Dusk. I like silence" I shot back, throwing her a playful glare.

"That's boring" she retorted, crossing her arms.

"It's not!"

"It is!"

"It's not!"

-End of Flashback 1-

I smiled at the memory of our first meeting, the start of our strong and unbreakable bond.

-Flashback 2-

"Never!" I said firmly, stomping my foot on the ground.

"Please, just this once…?" Joy pleaded, her hands wrapped around my arm.

"...Just this ONCE-WOAH!" I yelled as she shoved me on the roller coaster seat, giggling. I sent a silent prayer to the Gods. All my life, I've never ever sat on a roller coaster out of fear. Thanks to Joy, I discovered that it was not as frightening than I had thought it would be.

-End of Flashback 2-

-Present-

After a couple other visits to my memories, I realised : Thanks to Joy. I tried what I vowed never to try ; Achieved what was impossible in my sight. I overcame my fears, I broke my chains of restraint. From before I met her until now, I feel I am a totally changed person. I'm someone new, someone much more braver, stronger and not the fragile soul I was before.

I tapped the table while thinking. 'Perhaps it's time to face this fear too,' a part of me thought. 'No.' my heart and common sense said simultaneously. No, I decided. Halloween is not just a normal fear to be overcomed. It. Is. Not.
