39 Shriek at night

"Where is he?"

Mu Lu sat in a meditating as he had a bulging vein from his head. He had waited for Ji Chen for the past seven hours! He had nowhere to go inside the Thirty-Third Heaven as he was travelling with Ji Chen to wherever he went.

He was sitting inside of a small fort that he had built. There were three forts. One was him, then one for Ji Chen and finally one for the girl, Marie Rox.

"Mu Lu, I'm back!"

Ji Chen's voice was echoed through Mu Lu's ears. Mu Lu didn't even glance at Ji Chen. He then opened his eyes, pointing at a different fort than the one they were in:

"Go there, I have to cultivate."

Mu Lu was glad that Ji Chen had come back, but he was even more concentrated about his cultivation. If he wanted to save Qi, then it required strength thousands of times beyond what he has currently.

Ji Chen looked disappointed. He wanted to have someone keep him company. He could only have a bored and agitated look as he walked towards the fort. Even the smallest of forts were quite large. It looked like something a noble would live in, though it didn't have any decorations, it seemed to be colourful and bright.

"He did a pretty good job!"

Ji Chen nodded as he viewed the fort. If any other person from higher Heavens viewed this fort, they would probably draw in a cold breath. It was made very skillfully, even the lowest quality material that it is made from is made just by the refining process that the creator had done!

Ji Chen had now viewed enough. Laying down, himself down he started to doze off.

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh"

A high pitched shriek echoed through the forts. It sounded feminine.

Ji Chen had stopped dozing off and Mu lu had broken out of his meditation. They both ran outside their forts and stared at each other.

"Who was that?"

Ji Chen asked as he lazily used his right hand to get remove eye boogers. Mu Lu had red eyes, it was the consequence of breaking out of meditation.

"You idiot! Didn't you say you'd deal with her if she woke up! Go and calm her down!"

Mu Lu, annoyed, had the urge to punch Ji Chen on the face. For breaking out of meditation he had actually lost more cultivation he had lost, almost making him drop further! He then turned around and put a sound barrier around his own fort. It that blocked all sound for the inside.

"He didn't have to be that annoyed, he only lost a bit of cultivation..."

Ji Chen yawned and started to walk up to the third fort, where the noise came from.

INSIDE THE THIRD FORT

"Are you kidding me? Did I just lose my chastity just like that!?"

Marie was sitting in a brilliantly well-sculptured room, yet that wasn't the first thing that she paid attention to. All that she cared about was her chastity. When she woke up, she found her clothes in a mess, her cultivation had dropped and she was in a different room!

She noticed that her sleeves were lifted up and her collar was a bit higher than usual. Though many may not notice, she was very experienced in dressing up neatly. She knew the difference it made to your image. because it was lifted higher, she had already started to check every part of her body.

"Young lady, what are you doing?"

Ji Chen, still yawing entered the room that Marie was in. He was wearing a gown and had messy bed hair, it made Ji Chen look very funny. But from Marie's perspective, what she had seen was a rough and scary man after her body. She immediately embraced herself, closing herself off.

"What do you want?"

Marie didn't have tears on her face, but it was clear that she was afraid of Ji Chen. Though Ji Chen had just woken up, he could clearly see the fear that was in Marie's eyes.

"What kind of person do you think I am? Do I look like some bad guy?"

Ji Chen felt wronged and tried to defend himself. He didn't want to be seen as a rapist. He was a perfectly normal straight man that didn't enjoy that kind of stuff! Was what Ji Chen was telling himself in his mind.

"Do you think you can fool me? Do you see how my clothes are wrinkled and sleeves are lifted up?"

Marie argued back. She was moving her eyes around the room to try to find the best escape route. Ji Chen could see that and his eyebrows were twitching knowing what she was thinking. He took a calm breath in and looked Marie into the eyes:

"If I were really such a person, do you think I would leave you alive?"

He wanted to be straight up and clear that he didn't want her body. He didn't realise that this had only caused Marie to be even more careful!

"You...You..."

Marie was stuttering to finish her sentence. Ji Chen was nodding, he thought he had caught her off guard, but what was said next only made Ji Chen open his eyes wide:

"You must be one of those men that like to enjoy women that are alive, and then trash them later! I can see those playful eyes!"

Marie really wasn't feeling well, she couldn't really see the eyes of Ji Chen, but that was the only conclusion that she could come up with after hearing his words. Ji Chen's eyebrow was twitching every few seconds. He didn't know what to respond with, what did he show to make her think that he was that kind of person?

Ji Chen just couldn't respond, seeing himself in such a condition, he started laughing, mocking himself...
