"Your Elder brother has said that we should work together, are you going to disobey your Elder Brother?"

Gorilla was rolling along with what Mu Lu had said. The one above has given him a chance, how could he refuse?

"Of course, how could I betray my Elder Brother? Don't you know that us Mu take our oaths very seriously?"

Number Eight replied. He had a sheepish grin. He felt that he had found 'the one' who he could trust and rely on. It was like a brotherhood.

-Did you swear an oath? From the looks of it, you just stood there and waited until you Elder Brother left.

Gorilla contemplated inside his head.

Picking up the books Mu Lu had left them, Number Eight picked them up.

"No way!"

"What?"

Number Eight suddenly shouted which caused Gorilla to tilt his head in confusion.

"Elder Brother is truly amazing!"

Number Eight started laughing.

Gorilla couldn't take help but be curious about what was gifted by Mu Lu to make Number Eight crazily laugh.

He arched his back and easily looked over Number Eight because of his height.

"Impossible!"

What Gorilla had seen was a book opened which showed various meridian openings and closings. Meridian's were a very important part in increasing the strength of the soul and cultivation energy storage.

Soul was different to cultivating the body. It couldn't damage physically but mentally. Attacking mentally had its benefits. Mentally damaging someone could confuse them. Confusing would make them unable to think for a couple of seconds, this would be a very long time in a fight between experts. Mentality was what was used to launch and control Qi, if confused, you wouldn't be able to channel Qi.

Cultivating the Soul would grant benefits, if you started to cultivate soul before reaching Godhood, you would be able to get a higher combat prowess than those who reached Godhood with orthodox methods.

Soul Cultivation required the help of 'meridians', these were hidden in the body and were impossible to open unless you had an 'Ancient' level Cultivation technique. These were rumoured to be sold in the first three Heavens.

"Meridian openings? Weren't they extinct in the lower heavens? Won't we become the strongest if we cultivate these?" (Gorilla)

The truth was, many rumours came down from the higher heavens. Information travelled from a higher heaven was expensive and rare. One such rumour was that even the First, Second and Third Heaven were lacking Meridian opening techniques! When one performed such an art, it would be burned in order to keep the manual a secret, even the haughtiest of the children who were blessed with a silver spoon in their mouths couldn't afford to get their hands on such manuals,

"There is even three for each of us!"

There were three which were for Tiger Demonic Beasts and three for Monkey Demonic Beasts!

"Elder Brother and Uncle must have piled up wealth like this for centuries!"

Number Eight spoke proudly. It seemed as if he was brimmed to the load with endless confidence.

"Didn't Elder Brother say that he would be going to the Thirty-third Heaven with two disciples?"

Gorilla had started to call Mu Lu as Elder Brother just like Number Eight. He was shameless enough to start treating Number Eight like his Elder Brother as well. It seemed as if he had confidence that Number Eight wouldn't be able to hurt him as long as he had a blessing from Mu Lu.

"Elder Brother must be saying that he would go as deep as he possibly can in the Heavens, it is impossible to descend so many Heavens. It must be Elder Brother's mistake."

Number Eight tried to sound smart.

He then looked at Gorilla and patted his Muscular back:

"Let's become strong. I apologise for killing you grandson, but he shouldn't have hit on my granddaughter!"

Number Eight said sincerely.

Gorilla just nodded.

-One dead grandson can't be that bad right?

Mu Lu didn't know that this event would cause the two of Number Eight and Gorilla to become the 'Great Tiger and Monkey King Supreme Brothers', which would become the strongest Demonic Beasts in the Heavens!

DEEP IN THE FOREST

A man about the size of 6'3 was wearing a robe. He was carrying a young man, with average looks.

Mu Lu was already quite far away from Number Eight and Gorilla. He was after all, waiting for Ji Chen to wake up.

-When is he going to wake up? It's already been about two days.

Mu Lu was quite worried about when Ji Chen was going to wake up. It had already been about two days of him carrying Ji Chen around. Mu Lu didn't even have the time to cultivate.

-If he doesn't wake up in another day, I don't think I will be able to tolerate the smell of his disgusting clothes any longer.

Ji Chen smelled like literal crap. It wasn't open for discussion, he just did.

Mu Lu had a case of OCD and was not a fan of carrying something that was equivalent to the smell of shit.

"I wonder if Xiao Ba will be alright. He has to work hard to improve his cultivation, it is impossible to beat the Mu Family with such minor strength."

{Author: 'Xiao' is little and 'Ba' is eight in Chinese (I think)}

The only reason that Mu Lu had even given such precious Meridian opening manuals to both of them was because of Number Eight being his nephew.

He had promised Qi that he would be back, yet here he was; ten-thousand years have passed yet she didn't even know whether he was alive or not.

-I will make it up to Qi!

He was stupid to think that giving his soul for endless power would get him anywhere.

Mu Lu cringed every time he thought of that moment.

Why?

Why did he make such an unfair deal with such an unreliable host?

How could he avenge Qi if he had traded his soul?

-Qi, give me a few hundred years! I will make it up to you!

He laid Ji Chen down on a nicely carved wooden seat and started cultivating.

While Mu Lu was cultivating, Ji Chen's eyelid started to twitch...
