28 Inferiority in handsomeness?

"Another forest?"

The robed man spoke. I couldn't really feel anything from him. His aura seemed non-existent as if it wasn't supposed to be there. The other figure seemed to be a young man, I could assume that his realm was around that of The Second Layer of Human Realm, a layer below me. But, going back to the robed man, I couldn't feel anything from them. There were usually two things that it could mean:

One: He was stronger than me. It was known that some world-renowned experts of the realm could hide their realms if they achieved Warrior or higher!

Two: He wasn't a cultivator. Only when one was a cultivator could they even release their aura. I could just be overthinking and the robed man could just be some weakling.

I choose not to be rash. I was taught by father many survival techniques. Apparently, when he was young, some bandits had abducted father and put him up for ransom. Grandpa had already taught father his survival skills and instincts already, which allowed father to escape by coincidence.

This had a large impact on father, he was, before, considered the second child of the Rox family. Because Grandfather dotes on me a lot, he had told me many embarrassing things that father did when he was younger. Father had used to be known as a naive boy, that had the talent but was never serious about cultivation, but due to the incident of his abduction, he had changed into a serious young man, which was fit for the successor position of the Rox family.

Father had already taught my older brother, Duelias, his survival skills. He says that it runs through our family and that we must learn such skills.

"Don't complain about us going into another forest. I need to go somewhere that was desolate, the forest was the best choice!"

The young man groaned. I can't lie, he does have quite some dominant features, that could be considered pleasing to the eye, yet not demanding. He had spiky black hair and glistening black eyes. My opinion had gone down completely to zero when I saw him covered in a liquid. I could even smell it from metres away. It was sweat...

"Desolate location? You call this a desolate location? Look at all the beasts here!"

The robed man snapped. I couldn't quite see his face through his robes, but I had already confirmed that the robed man was a Warrior. I couldn't help but shiver in fear. The young man was at least the First Layer of the Human Realm and even possibly a Second Layer! He would have some of the highest talents of the nobles assuming that his age was around 17 or 18. He was not as talented as me, but to a person who didn't cultivate, it would be like seeing a demigod! I could see him as an equal to the young man, or something beyond!

"Tsk, you think that such things could harm us? We're practically invincible here!"

The young man clicked his tongue and talked spitefully.

They continue to speak like this for a while.

The way that they interacted with each other was quite weird. They would say something quite hateful, yet, the things that they spoke afterwards were a contradiction to their next few words.

"Should we move on now?"

The young man suggested. It seemed that he had had enough of wasting time.

The robed man nodded. He then started shaking his head.

"Should we kill the bug?"

He spoke. My heart had started going cold hearing such words. I could specifically feel killing intent directed to my location.

-A monster!

That was the first sentence that I could make up. I had already thought that there would be nothing stronger than the Half-step Warrior Beast. I had thought that My mind had been strengthened by such an event, and now, I would grow as a person, but I never knew that something more powerful than the beast existed... My mind was already starting to sway. I felt as if I would faint any second.

"Nah, it's just a bug anyway, do you want to get your shoes dirty?"

The young man spoke with a devilish smile.

"You sure are easy going. You didn't even have to make your way to the top, you just got there instantly didn't you?"

The robed man snickered.

-Making his way up to the top? Was the young man from some royal family? Did I offend him by hiding?

My mind had started filling up with unnecessary thoughts. I had to calm myself down.

My first thought was to kneel before him and pledge loyalty, but I have built up too much pride to bow to someone this easily!

I was contradicting myself with every sentence. I wasn't keen on 'pledging loyalty'. Though I know that there are people beyond father and all the other great towns, I can't help but click my tongue at such a thing. I knew that the world that I lived was like a frog in a well. The martial world wasn't small enough to just be conquered by mere Human or Warrior Realmed beings. No matter how much I tried, I couldn't think of stronger beings than grandfather, a Warrior Realmed being.

-Is this what warrior realm is? Is it truly this strong?"

"What do you mean? I worked my way to the top! Don't try to make it seem that it was all luck!"

The young man shouted back.

"Whatever, clean yourself fast. I don't want to have to smell you any more than I need to."

The robed man blocked his nose with one of his hands, causing the young man to have a face that was between prideful and embarrassed.

"Hahaha! You are just jealous of my manliness!"

The young man declared.

"Jealous? Tsk, I wouldn't even need a face like yours to attract women!"

The robed man clicked his tongue in disagreement.

I was still standing there with cold sweat running down my forehead. It seemed as if time had slowed down.

-Can't they just move on any quicker? Have they even noticed me? Was it just a coincidence?

My head had started to loop. It was one of the worst feelings that I had ever felt!

"You think you could attract women with your face? You're saying that I'm inferior to you in handsomeness?"

The young man started letting out some pressure...

It seemed wild and crazy. The trees had started to sway like crazy. The winds had become many times stronger, and that was the last string. I was already tired from running, and now that some crazy like aura had been released by the young man, my vision couldn't help but fade into darkness...

So, I lost to someone in a riddle... The loser had to post it on Instagram since I don't have Instagram, I have to post the riddle on next chapter. I will give the answer of the riddle in the next chapter, I think there will probably be one person who at least tries to answer this riddle. I

If you lose, you must give one power stone for my novel. You also have to send the riddle through online use and then replace the end with 'I lost to....', you will probably lose to me so 'I lost to Onion'.
