The System replied to his question with a mocking tone. The voice of the system was more like those MLG troll voices that says xD too many times.

Ji Chen hissed inside his head.

Ji Chen, calming himself down, he started to ask basic questions:

"What was Mu Lu's Ultimatum and why is he my slave now?"

Knowing that trying to wise talk himself out of this was impossible, Ji Chen rolled with it. He didn't want to believe this was real but he had already accepted it.

[Mu Lu's goal was to become the most powerful in the Universe. His dream was crushed when you defeated him. Mu Lu had planned to lose so he could escape from The System, but he never knew that he would instead become your slave xD]

Ji Chen almost cried hearing that.

-The poor guy wanted to be free of this Evil God... He survived over ten-thousand years, yet here I am, about to go insane from just hearing the voice for a couple of minutes.

Ji Chen felt responsible for Mu Lu somehow. He didn't know whether Mu Lu wanted to commit suicide or not, yet he had selfishly decided to save Mu Lu.

[Beep!]

[The System believes you can't be more stupid than you are. You are yourself, and he is your slave, why choose not to save him?]

The words of The System were a tiny bit inspiring... If they weren't said in the MLG voice.

"So the system gets removed when the host fails at his Ultimatum?"

[Beep!]

Ji Chen wanted to know more about this 'treasure'. If The System was truly the inheritance of The Evil God, then Ji Chen had struck gold.

"System, can you turn off that beeping sound effect before you speak, it is annoying."

Ji Chen wasn't happy with the beeping sound that The System made when it wanted to respond to a question. He had heard from novels, that the best solution was to toggle it off.

[Beep!]

[Negative. The host doesn't have System Upgrade 3.0, so toggling and messing with the interface of The System is impossible]

Ji Chen almost raged hearing the beep at the beginning.

Breathing in and out, Ji Chen once again asked a question:

"What is a 'System Upgrade 3.0'?"

[Beep!]

[Answering host. System Upgrades can be bought by System Points. They allow the system to become more advanced and store more items]

"What are System Points and how do I earn them?"

[Beep!]

[For System Points, they can be earned by hunting beasts and doing special quests]

Ji Chen really wanted to sleep the remanent that was left behind to create this tragic System. It really felt that the system was trying to cut corners every way it saw.

The System knew that Ji Chen had no understanding of its functions, so it would only answer when Ji Chen asked instead of giving a reliable explanation by itself.

"System."

Ji Chen sounded like he was a reliable young gentleman when he spoke this time.

[Yes host]

"Can you give me a whole explanation! Don't be a half-assed system!"

Ji Chen started having veins bulging out of his forehead. He shouted this out very loudly. So loudly that even Mu Lu started to open his eyes to the commotion.

[Beep!]

[The System cannot accept this request]

"Why!?"

Ji Chen was getting angrier by the second.

[You see, the host must first buy The System Upgrade 1.0]

"And what version are we on right now?"

[Beep!]

[System is currently at System Upgrade 0.1. It will take 10 points to upgrade to System Upgrade 0.11]

"Can it be any worse!? 0.1? That means there are almost a hundred updates till 1.0!"

[Beep!]

[Replying to host. It takes 10 minutes along with the points. The time will double each time an upgrade is done. It can be worse if the host likes challenges]

"F***! What the heck, why is my words censored?"

Ji Chen was on his last straw. He wanted to cuss to make himself have relief, but he realised that his curses were also starting to be censored.

"Sugary ******! What the hell? I didn't ask for this! g-rapes are even starting to be censored? WE ARE LIVING IN A SOCIETY!"

[Beep!]

[The System gives only what you deserve, remember not to blow the Universe up by raging xDDDD]

The System started to do some xDDD memes at the end. It was horrendous. Ji Chen felt the need to vomit but he held it in.

"Ahhhhh"

Ji Chen was going to explode any second now. His eyes were turning even more torque and his face was starting to become red with rage.

But before Ji Chen exploded, he felt someone tapping on his shoulders.

Ji Chen turned his face sideways, the person tapping was Mu Lu.

"Am I dreaming? I thought I was free now that I had been defeated?"

Mu Lu looked as if he had seen a ghost. In front of him was a transparent screen like the one that Ji Chen had. The difference was that He had opened his page to 'status'.
