2773 Great Zero Wing

In a random bar crowds of players sat down enjoying their drinks, bragging about their latest bounties and achievements, and talking about the hot topics occurring in the game.

In a table in the middle of the room sat a group of friends. They were doing their usual routine when a ranger changed the topic of conversation.

"Hey, have you guys heard the latest news about Zero Wing and the war?"

The ranger's mage friend responded, "yeah. Apparently Zero Wing defeated several Super Guilds and two Great Super Guilds. What about it?"

The ranger continued, "get this. Many superpowers had planned to capture Rising Wing City but after seeing what Zero Wing did to those Super Guilds, none of them plan on attacking the city."

"So what does that have to do with us?" A berserker in the group asked.

The ranger smiled and said, "I have a friend who's a core member in a Super First Rate Guild. He told me that the superpowers now consider Zero Wing second to only the Five Great Super Guilds."

"Also Zero Wing will most likely enter China's top 10 guilds in the next Xing Virtual Gaming Guild Awards. (Xing=Star based on google translate)

Zero Wing is also nominated for a spot in the world's top 100 guilds in the International Virtual Conference."

Mythology was ranked 1st in Greece back in the early days of virtual gaming, and it grew to become one of the strongest guilds in the world, having powerful branches all over the world. Violet Sword as well, the guild was ranked 6th in India after its conception and it similarly is a powerhouse all across the globe.

If Zero Wing makes it to China's top 10, the guild may span its influence around the world.

"What's the point of joining Zero Wing, at most we will become regular core members. Our status won't be that much greater from other superpowers core members. Unless we manage to become legion captains or main force members what's the difference between joining Zero Wing or a more established superpower." An assassin in the group commented.

In Zero Wing in order to become a core member, you need to have entered the Refinement realm or reached the trial tower's 9th floor middle stages. Becoming a core team captain is much more demanding. All Zero Wing team captains are Flowing Water realm experts and these guys are considered to be monsters in human skin. Many of these captains are capable of fighting against Void realm experts for a short time, not to mention the guild's main force.

For guys like them, who only made it to the Refinement realm, they stand no chance of reaching such a position in a guild like Zero Wing.

Hearing this didn't deter the ranger like it did his other friends. "Your right, if Zero Wing was like other superpowers there will be no point. But Zero Wing doesn't operate that way. As long as you contribute to the guild they will reward you."

As the women spoke to herself a teenage looking girl walked up and interrupted her, "big sis Lotus, what are you smiling about?"

Lotus who used to be the number one assassin in the Black Dragon Empire, put away the report and responded. "Nothing, I just got some good news about Zero Wing, that's all."

Hearing this a young male not too far from the two girls said, "Zero Wing? Isn't that the guild your boyfriend is in big sis?"

The girl next to Lotus had her eyes light up after hearing this, "that's right, maybe big bro Tianxing can help us with our Dark Soul problem since Zero Wing is so powerful!"

Lotus started to blush a little after hearing the two kids teasing her. She quickly regained her cold persona and said, "Yan Tianxing is just a good friend. Besides, this is our problem. Dark Soul is nothing like it was before after Starlinks destruction and the adventure team gained the support of Mythology. How can we trouble Zero Wing with such a problem for us."

The group saw the reasoning in Lotuses words and didn't bring the topic up again.

"Ok, we've rested enough, let's get a move on. If we manage to finish this quest, things might turn around for us. Not even Dark Soul will follow us to the Ruined Mountain Range."

The group then went on their way.

In a stormy desert field located in a level 120+ neutral map, four old men sat down around the corpse of a fallen superior mythic monster.

A superior mythic is nothing to peak experts at this point in the game. What was shocking was that this monster was above level 150. After level 150 even basic mythic monsters will become an arduous task for top tier tier 4 experts.

But these four old men had killed this monster and they didn't even look fatigued afterwards.

"Old Sword, check out this long sword. I think it should be a good replacement for your old weapon," Wind Demon who was looking over the drops said to a thinking Sword Demon.

After Starlinks eradication, the four shadow demons had decided to stick together and live a free spirited gaming life.

Sword Demon looked off into the distance for a while not responding to Wind Demon. He then looked at his companions with a resolut expression and said, "Wind, Mad, Heart, I have decided to join Zero Wing."

This stunned the three of them, "Old Sword, are you finally getting alzheimers! Why are you saying that," Heart Demon asked him?

Sword Demon gave the three a bitter smile, "do you know that brat had reached the True Domain Realm. That's the same realm we have been dreaming about for years, now some kid managed to do it before us."

Wind Demon gave his friend a pity look, "I understand how you feel Old Sword but some people are born geniuses. Trying to compare yourself to them will only hinder your growth."

Mad Demon continued, "that's right Old Sword. Stop thinking nonsense and check out these drops with us."

But Sword Demon didn't let up, "I'm serious guys. Remember when we were younger, it was us against the world. We had no one to support us or lean on but yet our strength grew exponentially with each intense fight."

This caused the four to think back to their youths.

"Now look at that kid. He's in a similar situation to us back then and look how far he has gone. When we joined Starlink, we lost sight of our goal. Sure we managed to recover some of our youth with their help, but did that really help us grow stronger."

"I have this gut feeling that if I join Zero Wing, I'll be able to grasp what I have been missing and make a breakthrough. After that I can finally repay my grudge against that brat. So what do you guys say, will you join me?"

The other three Shadow Demons looked at each other then to Sword Demon.

"Do you hear yourself you Old bastard. You're nearly 70 and you're still thinking of fighting with a kid. If I don't go with you, you will shame the name of the Four Shadow Demons. Besides there was a little talented assassin girl in that guild. She still rough around the edges but with a little help, she can grow to be the best assassin in the game," Wind Demon told his friend.

"Haha, that's right. I remember they also had a cleric that gave me quite the beating in the auction house fight. If Old Heart gave her some pointers she could easily trample on old monsters like us!" Mad Demon added.

"Great! Then it's decided, let's go make the necessary preparations!"

On Top of a snow covered mountain an intense lightning storm was currently happening at the tip of the mountain. Each giant blue bolt of thunder will cause the large mountain to shake and will silence the souls of any who heard the roaring thunder.

In the middle of all this a group of 100 rested. The crazy thing was that not a single bolt of lightning was around this group. The terrifying lightning strikes all focused on one person who sat cross legged as he absorbed the giant lightning strikes that hit him.

"When is the guild leader going to be done, it's already been two hours, if we don't hurry we won't have enough time for the quest," a lazy looking youth said as he yawned, his boredom over taking him.

"The guild leader finally found a bloodline that is compatible with him. It's also a peak bloodline, it's going to take time for him to acclimate to it." A gorgeous looking girl with red eyes said.

"Ignore him Rose. He's just jealous that the guild leader got a peak bloodline while he's stuck with a basic one," another youth who looked like he likes to cause trouble said.

His comment caused the rest of the team to laugh and this annoyed the lazy looking youth.

"At least I got a bloodline Crow. What about you?"

"I don't need a bloodline to beat your ass, that's for sure."

"What did you say!"

"You heard me."

The two youths then got up looking like they were ready to fight, this caused everyone to be excited.

"That's right, kick his ass Crow!"

"You gonna let him talk to you like that Wolf!"

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

The girl called Rose could only sigh as she went back to paying attention to her guild leader. As she watched him a deep menacing voice entered everyone's ear.

"Is this how the main force of Olympus Palace acts? What a shame." In the middle of the crowd a middle aged man dressed in all black examined the group.

Off in the distance behind the man was a 500 man team, all wearing different guild emblems than the Olympus Palace members.

When Crow and the others saw this middle age man and his group they were a little surprised. The area they were in was infested with level 150+ monsters. It wasn't uncommon for them to encounter some tier 5 legendary monsters.

Even they had a little trouble making it all the way up here.

Rose didn't even bother to turn her head as she said to the middle aged man, "Grand Elder Red Shine, what brings you here?"

Red Shine walked up to her, "still as cold as always Commander Rose. I just came here to talk to your guild leader, if that's ok."

"Do as you want, he looks done anyway."

"Thank you." Red Shine then walked up to the man who was busy absorbing the lightning.

"Shine, what do you want?" The man asked with his eyes still closed

"You're still cold too. Now I know we're Rose gets it from. I just wanted to give you some good news. Zero Wing won the war and even beat Mythology and Infinite Sky to a pulp." Red Shine said.

The man still had his eyes closed as if he didn't hear a word. But Red Shine continued on.

"I thought you would be glad to hear this. After all you've been paying attention to the guild. You actually leaked some information to them so they can deal with those corporations better. You've even gave up that deal with the Green God's Company and directed Miao Jun to Zero Wing among other things. Is Black Flame you illegitimate son or something," Red Shine pondered out loud.

"Get to the point," the man said with his eyes still closed

Red Shine then said, "I'm just curious. Your intrigue in the guild makes me interested in it as well. Zero Wing does have a lot of secrets. Who knows with those secrets maybe my Chaos Dynasty will finally surpass your guild."

After he heard this the man finally opened his eyes and as he did so a primordial energy from the void rippled throughout his body. This energy cleared out the clouds erasing the thunder storm and pushing back Red Shine and his 500 men, making them lose a little HP.

Only the Olympus Palace members didn't get affected by this as if a cool breeze just swept over them.

Rose let out a sigh "what did that Red Shine say to the guild leader this time? He looks upset."

"If we're forced to do that combat training because of him, I swear I'll wipe out Chaos Dynasty!" Crow said, clearly dissatisfied.

When the members of Chaos Dynasty heard this they sent the lazy looking youth a displeased look. But none of them dared to confront him about his blatant disrespect. Chaos Dynasty is a Great Super Guild, but they can't compare to the full might of Olympus Palace.

After Red Shine recovered he wiped the dust from his armor and indifferently said

"I'm just curious, that's all. Whatever plans you have for Zero Wing is your business. I have things to do, so please excuse me." Red Shine and his group then left.

At the same time the entire world went nuts. Two Great Super Guilds had just been defeated and so miserably too. And it wasn't by another Great Super Guild or some Veteran Super Guild.

No, an upstart guild that recently became a Super First Rate Guild accomplished this. The whole world was looking at Zero Wing now as the next Great Super Guild.

The birth of a Great Super Guild can drastically change the virtual gaming world forever. Every powerful Super Guild has influence all across the world. Some even have influence off the planet. A potential Great Super Guild can either be a powerful ally to them or a great enemy. 15

As the whole virtual gaming world went a buzz, Shi Feng who was responsible for all this chaos remained ignorant of it. He was much more interested in the things in front of him.

Shi Feng couldn't help but to hum a tune as he pleasantly looked at all the wonderful items that he got from Mythology and Atlock. Ember who was laying on his head hummed the same melody as Shi Feng. She too started drooling over all the wonderful items.
