Mommy and Daddy along with Benjami run all the way to the great 'Elders' place. You know what? I shouldn't have said ran all the say because it's more like they ran to the nearest exit of the palace and then rode the imperial carriage the rest of the journey.
"Open the Gates! This is his and her majesty along with the imperial offsprings. We cannot afford to offend them!" A guard whispers to another one of his comrades.
The mighty iron bars open giving way to an expensive looking manor. This, only a person who has a lot of money can have a pathway paved with gold. Whoever the 'Great Elder' is, his character is probably one of arrogance. Someone who loves showing off his money. I like it!
Arriving at the sleeping man's chambers father asks a maid to go inside and wake up him up. To tell him that a situation has a occurred that he needs his opinion on.
"Who dares disturb this great one's rest!" The man bellows. His voice sounds like it belongs to an elderly man in his early seventies.
Father enters the room with the rest of us and raises his eyebrow at the man. When the great elder see's daddy his eyes open with face turning pale.
"Y- Yo- Your majesty's u- uhhh hello. W- ww- what brings you guys to grace this old fellow with your presence." He stutters continuously while giving the servent girl a glare for not telling him how special these guests are.
"That, We will give you a warning, too lazy to punish you. This matter has to do with Our youngest, Melia. She has hecterochromia. One eye is ruby red while the other is golden. I think...We think that it's the prophecy."
Hearing daddy's words the elder jumps up out of his bed and rushes towards me.
"Quick your majesty, give me the child. I need to make sure it's true because if so, then she will have to go through hellish training." His wrinkly and rough hands grab me firmly. His deep, penetrating gaze looks into my eyes. It's like he can see into my soul.
Sighing his expression turns grave.
"Yes I suppose the beginning of the prophecy has started. She will need to begin cultivating immediately if she is to lead the war between us and the humans. Wait..hold up. If I'm not human then what the hell am I.
"Daddy. What is dat ol man torin bout?"
He looks at me sadly and then mommy kisses my head.
"Yeah momwy what is goin on wit elly?" Benjamin's big blue watery eyes gaze at mommy. His lips trembling in the form of a pout.
"Well honey, you sister is the chosen one. Which means she has been blessed by the gods." Don't tell me it's that blasted man's fault. When I get my hands on his fat body, I'M GOING TO CATSRATE HIM!!!!!!!
"Melly is going to have to go through extensive physical construction for a year or two after her birthday. So you won't see her as much. But do not sorry. We will use voice stones to communicate every one and a while okay?"
"Otay momwy. So baby sista Otay too."
"You got it champ. So don't cry okay. "
He nods his head and then looks at me. I smile, raising my chipmunk cheeks to make him feel better. The things I do for family.
The elder then carries me over to his desk and presses a black button. It transforms the desk into this old looking stone with the moon's gaze shining its silvery light upon it. He rests me gently on to the stone and says a bunch of words that sounds like Latin. All of a sudden I'm elevated into the hair with sparkling stars dancing on my skin. Ooooooooo pretty.
My hair suddenly goes through a drastic change as it's once short curls barely reaching my forehead now extends all the way to my ankles. The tendrils start to float away from my body going in different directions. Mommy and Daddy and Benjamin and the old rowdy man stare at me star struck. It's expected though. I am a once in a lifetime seen beauty. Savor this moment while you can people.
Suddenly a calm and eloquent voice begins to speak in my mind. It's okay though, cuz I'm used to it after that kidnapping fiasco.
"Hello my dear. Do you know who I am?" Her calming voice says. It sounds like twinkling stars burning in the night.
"Uhhh, a voice inside my head?" She laughs, her tender chuckles resonating in my head like a melodic flute.
"No silly. I am the moon goddess Etherina. My child, the future ahead of you will be filled with trials. You will have to face then head on, but don't worry your allies and family along with a certain person will be there with you. Helping and encouraging you."
