65 Chapter 65 Family Again

I wipe a tear away as I pull myself together, no more tears. We are reunited and alive and free. It's a happy day.

"Can we be a family now?" She asks, still holding onto him.

Loki pulls away to look at her, memorized by her, "Of course we can Hope. You're home, you're safe and we are together now." He looks at her, smiling, "You're so beautiful, perfect, just like your mother."

She beams at him, "Mother tells me I have your eyes and mischievous smile."

He chuckles, "You definitely do but you have her beauty and her mind."

"Dad, can you teach me magic? Mum said you taught her and can we do pranks? Like you did to Uncle Thor?" She asks, full of excitement, "I want to cause some mischief."

I smile at this as Loki laughs, "You are so my daughter, mischievous and clever. And I will gladly teach you magic but tomorrow. I imagine you're hungry and we are in the middle of a feast. Let me get you some food and we can sit down properly. Together as a family."

She smiles, "Yes please. I'm starving."

We laugh as the people around us stop watching us as they start feasting again, talking amongst themselves. Tonight's events the main gossip. Hope stands up as Loki gets to his feet and I follow suit, not wanting to be on the floor any longer. But I am barely on my feet when I begin to feel wobbly and very dizzy again. I feel like I am going to collapse and Loki notices, quickly slipping his arm around me. He holds onto me and helps me steady myself as I hold onto him. I guess I am just a bit weak from using all that magic, unleashing my wings, and then nearly dying.

"Mum?" Hope moves closer to us, "Are you ok?"

I force a smile, holding onto Loki for support, "I'm ok, just a bit weak and dizzy."

"You don't look ok." She says unconvinced, "You can barely stand."

Loki nods in agreement, "She just needs to sit down and rest for a bit. Using her magic, unleashing her wings, and then getting hurt has taken it out of her. She will be ok, don't worry." He keeps his arm around me and offers his free hand to her, "Come sweetie."

Hope takes his hand and we go over to the feasting table where he was earlier except now there are fewer people and warriors about. Plus Sif and the warriors of three are real, all now getting drunk with Thor. Loki helps me sit down before sitting down beside me and Hope jumps onto his lap, wanting to be close to her father. It makes me smile and Loki doesn't seem to mind, using magic to bring over a plate of food for her and some juice. She begins to eat and he kisses her on the head, making her smile. They are so cute together.

I get a drink that takes the edge off before I let my wings come out of my back again, letting them rest behind me. God, it feels good to have them out and my body begins to feel stronger, the dizziness and weak feeling fading away. I guess I needed the extra magic from my wings to help me recover. I mean… that psycho did slit my throat, nearly killed me. Just got to rest and I will be ok.

Loki kisses her head before looking at me, "You feeling better?"

I smile, "Yeah I'm ok. I guess I just over did it a bit with using all that magic, nearly dying and finally letting my wings out." They flutter behind me, "It feels good to have them out."

He smiles, moving his hand from my back to my wings, gently touching my feathers, "They are beautiful and I am so glad they grew back."

"So am I." I admit, "It would have been strange living without them."

"And now I can still call you my angel." He says with a grin, making me roll my eyes, "But you did forget to mention you got them back. I was scared for you when you started taunting Kai about them."

I shrug, "It was the ace up my sleeve or should I say back?"

He laughs before he kisses me and is about to put his arm around me when we notice Odin and Frigga coming over to us. I smile as I turn to face them while Loki looks after Hope, passing her some more food. She's very hungry and I don't think she ate much when I was away. She must have been too worried or scared. My poor girl, suffering, starving. It hurts too much to think about it but she is here and she's safe. Finally with me and her father.

Odin smiles at me, "Katrina, I almost couldn't believe it when Frigga told me what you told her, I was speechless and mortified. I am sorry that happened to you."

I smile, "It's ok Odin, it's not your fault. Kai was a slippery weasel and he took advantage. Really I am just lucky that I remembered Frigga's room is enchanted so I could talk to her and get help. I am sorry for my deception though."

He shakes his head, "No need to apologise, we all knew there was a reason why you were putting on such a performance. You were just protecting your own, your daughter. Really you should be commended, everything you did to protect her, it was very brave of you." He smiles, "But I admit I was surprised when I saw your wings."

"Yeah, I forgot to mention that part to Frigga." They flutter behind my back, "I had to keep them hidden from Kai all these years and it slipped my mind."

Frigga smiles, "We are just pleased they grew back. They are something that should never be taken from you. Still so beautiful, extraordinary. But are you ok? We saw you got hurt?"

I nod, "I'm ok, Loki healed me."

"Well, I am pleased you are ok and back with my son and that all three of you are safe." He looks at Hope, "She's a marvel. Can I meet my granddaughter?"

This makes me smile and I nod, turning to face Loki and Hope who have been watching us. Both have been listening in on the conversation as Loki gave her food. She wipes her face before sliding off Loki's lap and moving to stand in front of us.

"Mum, who are they?" She asks, looking at me.

I smile, "These are your grandparents, King Odin and Queen Frigga. You remember me telling you about them?"

She nods, "I do." She smiles at them, "Hi I'm Hope."

Frigga kneels in front of her, "It's lovely to meet you." She looks her over, "You have such strong magic, I can feel it. You are going to achieve amazing things, I can see it."

Odin nods in agreement and Hope hugs them both, making them both tear up, even Odin. They are in awe of her and it makes us both smile. They have barely pulled apart when I see Thor has appeared beside Loki, staring at our daughter in awe. Hope is looking at him too, wondering who he is and god she is adorable. So keen to meet all of her family members.

"She's beautiful brother." Thor pats him on the shoulder, "Congratulations, I am so happy for you both."

Loki smiles, "Thanks brother. She is amazing."

Thor looks at me and smiles, "Seriously Katrina, you are an amazing mother. Only you could raise a perfect daughter when stuck with a psycho. I am glad you are both back and ok."

I laugh, "Thanks Thor, it's good to see you too."

"Is that Uncle Thor?" Hope asks me, "Dad's brother? The one he pranks a lot?"

I nod, "That's him."

Thor kneels in front of her, "Hello Hope, it's lovely to meet you."

She hugs him, not even hesitating and Thor hugs her back, making sure he is gentle. When they pull apart, she notices everyone looking at her and it puts her on edge. Oh, she's got all shy, it's so cute.

She comes back over and holds her arms out for me, wanting to be picked up. I don't hesitate and pick her up, letting her sit on my lap. She is still looking at them but holding onto me, playing with my hair. It makes me smile as I kiss her on the head and she relaxes.

Frigga smiles, "She's a perfect princess."

Hope looks at me, "Mum am I a princess?"

I smile, "You are. Remember we are royalty. Your father is a prince and I'm a princess which makes you a little princess."

She giggles and they all smile, especially Loki who is staring at us in awe. But then I notice Odin is looking at Loki with this look in his eyes. Oh yes, I forget. Loki was supposed to be King by now but refused the throne because I had 'died' and he wouldn't rule without me. And now that I am back at his side where I belong along with our daughter, he can be the King he was supposed to be. Before Kai broke us apart and faked my death.

Odin looks at him, "Well actually, he won't be a prince for long. With Katrina back and you both safe, it's time for my son to become King."

"King?" Hope squeals, "Dad is going to be King?"

I smile, "He was supposed to be King before Kai took me and I had you." I look at him, "I guess you couldn't bear to rule alone?"

He shakes his head, "I couldn't take the throne without you by my side."

I take his hand, "Well I'm back now and we are not going anywhere. So I think it's time that you become the King that we know you already are. And I will gladly rule by your side as your Queen along with our little princess."

He smiles, "Do I have a choice?"

"Nope listen to your Queen and say yes." I say with a smile.

He chuckles before looking at Odin, "When is the coronation?"

Everyone is smiling, Hope practicing jumping with excitement on my lap and I have to keep an arm around her to stop her from falling off. Thor pats his brother, going back to his seat as Loki slips his arm around me.

Odin smiles, "Tomorrow evening. That is when you will both become King and Queen of Asgard and Hope, official princess of Asgard." We smile, "Have a good evening, and welcome home Katrina, Hope."

Then Odin and Frigga leave us, retiring for the evening while I turn back to Loki who is looking at us both. He looks so happy, so full of life and all the pain in his face is gone. He got me, a daughter, and tomorrow he will take the throne. All three of together, a family and ruling over Asgard. Wait, four of us, Hela is my daughter too. I am surprised I haven't seen her. I guess she isn't home at the moment.

"Dad is going to be King now?" Hope asks me, "And you Queen mum?"

I smile, "That's right and you will be a princess."

She smiles at this, "Yay."

Loki smiles at me, resting his head against mine, "God I love you, my future Queen." He kisses me on the lips before looking at Hope, "And I love you, my little princess." He kisses her on the head, making her giggle, "My girls."

"Dad is Hela here?" She asks him, keen to meet her, "My sister?"

I look at him, "Yeah I haven't seen her."

Loki's eyes widen as he looks at me, "Oh my god Hela. I haven't told her you are back yet. She has no idea you returned to Asgard or that I got you back. I haven't had the chance to tell her." He shakes his head, "And she is still searching for you. God that was an oversight."

"You might want to summon her and give her the good news."

He smiles and nods and I know he is calling out telepathically to her. In moments there is a pop and Hela appears in the middle of the feasting hall, dressed in dark emerald green with her hair in a plat down her back. She looks so much older, a woman now and no longer the young adult that I resurrected over 9 years ago. So full of life and happy but she does look a bit depressed. But then I remember she has been looking for me. She must have been so worried, my daughter.

She looks towards us and her jaw drops when she sees me beside Loki, finally back and with my wings. Not to mention the little girl on my lap. She is shocked and I notice she is looking at Hope as she comes over, still lost in a place between bewilderment and shock. But I see a smile on her face as she runs over, so happy. I have missed her.

I stand up, Hope sliding off my lap so she stands beside me so I can greet her. But I am barely on my feet when she reaches me, pulling me into a hug. I hug her back, so happy to see her and she hugs me tightly. She must have been so worried, all of these years. Just like Loki.

"Hela." I whisper, holding her, "I'm ok."

She hugs me tighter, being careful of my wings, "I have missed you mother and I have been so worried. I feared the worse."

I pull away, "I missed you too and I'm ok. I'm back now but look at you, all grown up."

She smiles, "Well it's been a while." She shakes her head, "I'm just so shocked. I have been looking for you and I couldn't find you anywhere. And now you're here and I'm just… how? How are you back? Did you just get back? Did my father find you? I have like hundreds of questions and I'm not even sure where to start."

"Well it's kind of a long story but I have been back a few days actually." I say, shrugging, "I just haven't been back back."

Her eyes widen and she looks at Loki, "And you didn't tell me?" She scolds.

Loki looks at her pained, "It was kind of complicated. She didn't exactly come back alone."

"What?" She looks at me, "What has been happening?"

I sign in frustration, "It's kind of a long story but basically I was taken by this psycho named Kai who wanted my wings. But they crumbled when he ripped them off so he faked my death and took me, looking for answers as to why it happened. As well as why I didn't die." I smile, "I found out I was pregnant, gave birth and he basically kept me prisoner while I raised her. Then he brought me here a few days ago so he could find an electric rod to unlock her wings and to make me break Loki's heart. He threatened to kill her if I didn't comply but I had a plan and managed to tell Frigga, Sif, and Loki everything. We then worked together, saved our daughter, and defeated Kai. Now I'm back and all is well."

She stares at me in shock, completely taken back and overwhelmed with all this new information that it takes her a moment to process it all. I mean it is a lot when you think about it, it just doesn't seem like it to me as I lived it.

She looks at me, "But your wings… they grew back. He never knew?"

"I hid them until now, used them to escape his grip, quite literally." I feel them flutter behind me, "Only me and Hope knew."

"Hope?" She looks at me confused and her eyes widen, "You said… you were pregnant. That's how you survived losing your first pair of wings. Her life saved you?" I nod, "I have a sister?"

I smile, "Who do you think is the little girl that is standing beside me?"

Her eyes widen and she finally looks at Hope properly and sees the resemblance. She looks a lot like me and Loki, and quite a bit like her. It's obvious she is our daughter and her sister. I can't hide my smile as Hela kneels in front of her, Hope beaming at her. She's in shock and yet I think Hela is about to cry at the sight of her.

"Hela this is Hope." I put a hand on Hope's back, "Your younger sister."

Hela smiles, wiping a tear away, "Hi Hope."

"Hi sis." Hope beams but frowns, "Why are you crying?"

"Because I have always wanted a sister." She tells her, "And I am so happy to finally meet you, my little sister."

They both smile and I feel a tear of joy roll down my cheek as they hug, holding onto each other tightly. Loki looks like he could cry but is just smiling, looking at us all. Probably thinking the same thing that I am now. We are finally a family now, all four of us. We are a family again.
