48 Chapter 48 Forgotten Memory

In moments we land and it takes me a moment to realise where we are and my eyes widen in pure shock. We are in the one place I least expected and I find myself pulling away from him, moving across the sand. The sand already spilling into my shoes but I don't care. I never thought I would be back on this beach again. The same beach I had visited so much when I was younger, running across the sand and bodyboarding across the waves with my brother. Back when my adoptive parents were alive. We only came back once since they died and that was only a few months after their funeral. It feels like a lifetime ago and I guess in a way it was. How I missed this place.

I'm in awe as I look at the waves, crashing at the sand and looking at the sun as it sets. The sky changing colours, mixes of orange, red and indigo and its beautiful. I turn to see our old summer home, a beach house freshly refurbished and I expect this is Tony's doing. He must have fixed it up just for us and it's beautiful. I can't believe we are going to spend our honeymoon on the beach of the Caribbean coast, in a place from my childhood that I never thought I would see again. Loki has outdone himself, yet again.

"What do you think?" Loki asks me, "Tony told me all about how you haven't been here since you were little and I thought it would be perfect for our honeymoon. Just us on this endless beach."

I turn to look at him, "It is. It's perfect." I smile, "I never thought I would ever come back here. It's still so beautiful and just like I remember. I really missed this place."

He smiles as he moves over to me, "So you love it?"

"I love it. Thank you Loki, you have outdone yourself yet again."

"Anything to please my wife." He says with a grin, taking my hands, "We can do whatever you like. Tony has got us everything we need. Including these things called surfboards and bodyboards which I believe are for riding the waves."

I chuckle, "It's a lot of fun, trust me, you will enjoy it."

He smiles, "Would you like to go inside? I believe Tony has refurbished the whole house and even left out some good wine and strawberries."

"Oh yes, I have to see what he has done to it."

With that we leave the beach and go over to the beach house, waiting for us and go up the decking. It's just the same as I remember, just freshly painted and fixed. Even the old chair outside that swings has been fixed which makes me smile but I turn myself back to the door which we open and go inside.

The house is magnificent. He has upgraded it with some modern features but left in the woodwork, the fireplace, and wood panelling floor so it still feels the same. Even with the extra stuff he has added including a tv, decent electricity and a modern kitchen for us to cook in. As well as a decent shower and bath, big enough for two. The bedrooms are the same, changed but it still feels like it used to. It still feels homely and I love what he has done to the place. I love it and I'm so glad we are staying here.

Once I have used the bathroom, I noticed Loki has already magicked everything we could need from clothes to essentials here. But don't linger as I go to join him in the lounge by the fireplace.

The fire is roaring, Loki putting logs into it before resting back on the rug in front of the fire. He has removed his jacket and boots so he is just in his top and trousers, not to mention his underwear. And I notice as I get closer, he has opened a bottle of wine with two glasses and has got out the strawberries along with some ice cubes in an ice bucket. So sweet and I am eager to join him. How I love him so much.

I slide my shoes off, putting them by his boots before moving to sit beside him. He smiles at me as I join him, putting his arm around me as he kisses me on the cheek.

"What do you think of the place?" He asks me, tipping the wine into glasses.

I smile, "It's beautiful and even with everything Tony did to it, it's still homely. It feels the same like I never even left."

He smiles, passing me a glass, "I'm glad you love it."

"Oh, I love it but not as much as I love you. I love you more." I sip my wine, "God Tony knows how to pick a good wine."

Loki sips it, "Mmm it's incredibly good indeed. Not bad for mortal wine."

I laugh, "God to think the last time I was here I thought I was a mortal human. Now I'm a half Asgardian and half goddess, have wings, and married. I feel like I have lived two different lives."

"It feels like that as the years get on but you get used to it." He whispers, sipping the wine, "But you are still the same person. A child who danced on this beach, a young lady who studied science and wrote books and lost her sight. A woman who fell in love and then came to live with her gorgeous god in a different realm and got married. You are still the same person and we all change, but not completely." He smiles at me, "It doesn't mean we forget who we are."

I smile at him, "More like we embrace who we are. I know who I am and you have accepted who you are. I'm this powerful half Asgardian and half Goddess with wings and you're Asgardian and Jotun, the future king of Asgard."

He chuckles, "I still can't believe I am going to be king."

"I don't." I tell him, "If you protect the realms and Asgard like you have protected me, I know Asgard will thrive and prosper under your rule. And like I said, I will rule by your side and always be there for you when you need me."

"God, what did I do to deserve you?" He whispers.

I smile, "I can say the same thing." I sip my wine, drinking most of it, "But now we are married and we can spend the rest of our lives together. Rule Asgard and maybe have a family of our own?"

He looks at me, smiling and in awe, "You want to have kids with me?"

"Of course I do. Who else would I have kids with? For a god, you are such an idiot." I put my wine down, taking his hand, "We can have our own family, the two of us along with Hela. Our daughter."

"Yes, I noticed she called you mother which I guess is appropriate since you gave her life." He whispers, squeezing my hand, "I would love to have a family with you, have kids and we can all spend time together. You, me, Hela, and any kids we have."

I smile, raising my glass, "To the next chapter of our lives?"

He smirks, raising his glass and tapping it against mine, "The next chapter."
