Genin Years (I)

"Raiton: Seiteki no Jutsu!" I exclaimed after I finished weaving through the hand signs and a ball of lightning appeared in my hands. I pointed my hand toward Yoruichi and launched the lightning ball at her, and just before the lightning ball could reach her, Namaikina tossed a kunai at the older girl, but she missed voluntarily because she simply wanted to cut off the escape route of Yoruichi.

Yoruichi simply snorted before she pulled out a kunai and slashed the lightning ball with a Chakra-enhanced kunai and when Namaikina finally reached her, Yoruichi easily parried away Namaikina's kunai before… "Crotch shot!" Yoruichi exclaimed cheerfully and kicked Namaikina between her legs, Namaikina simply dropped the kunai and fell down to her knees while clutching her crotch in pain.

That must have really hurt… I winced in pain. "While we don't have balls like men, getting kicked between the legs hurts like a bitch and Shinobis are not above exploiting any weaknesses…" Yoruichi explained as she kneeled down in front of Namaikina and spoke while patting her head. The younger girl was in so much pain that her eyes started to water and even though she wanted to hurt the older girl, she only managed to whimper.

While I could have attacked Yoruichi while she was busy giving Namaikina a talk, I decided not to… After all, Namaikina was in the middle… "Well, you are out of the fight it seems" Yoruichi sighed before she used her fingers to push Namaikina and she simply slumped down on the ground. After that, Yoruichi turned toward me and I instinctively clutched my legs.

Yoruichi snickered at that… "Don't worry, I am not going to hit you there. Boys usually know that getting hit in between the legs hurts like a bitch" Yoruichi explained, trying to assuage my fears, but I didn't drop my guard even though I forced myself to relax a bit. After all, no matter what she said, she was a Shinobi and just like she said, Shinobis are not above exploiting any weakness.

"I have read your file, you know" Yoruichi began as she gave me an appreciative look. "You were the best in your batch when it comes to Taijutsu, Shurikenjutsu, and Ninjutsu, but there is something else I like about you… According to your files, you are cautious as fuck" Yoruichi finished with a grin before lunging at me and I was forced to admit, she was insanely fast.

I barely managed to jump aside as she sailed past beside me, but I wasn't able to evade her completely… I could feel blood dripping down my arm, but thankfully, the wound wasn't deep… I whirled around my feet, ignoring the rising pain in my arm, but I froze when I saw Yoruichi take a lick of her kunai, taking a taste of my blood… I hate to admit, that was quite creepy and arousing at the same time.

Does that make me weird?

"Hmm… You taste good" Yoruichi nodded her head in satisfaction… Umm… I don't know how to feel about that. I hope she isn't secretly a vampire or a ghoul. So, I slowly pulled out a kunai and took a stance… Namaikina was still lying on the ground, so I wasn't hoping for a miraculous save from her. Yoruichi smirked before she too shifted into a stance.

Moments later, two of us rushed at each other… Yoruichi was much faster than me. That much was quite clear to me, so I barely managed to defend myself against her slash. She slashed at me again, but this time, I could see lightning Chakra coursing through her kunai and her kunai cut through my kunai like a hot knife through butter.

Thankfully, my body was far enough from her, so she didn't manage to cut me up this time… I tried to jump back, wanting to make some distance between the two of us, but unfortunately for me, Yoruichi didn't want me doing that, so she simply jumped after me and engaged with me in a hand-to-hand combat, but it didn't last for long as all of a sudden, her fist smashed into my jaw, rattling my brain inside my skull.

I didn't even manage to land on the ground before my world turned completely black… Wow… What a girl. She managed to punch my daylights out only after a couple of exchanges… Why do I find that hot? Maybe, something is wrong with me as I am pretty sure that I was never a masochist…

"Guhh…" I woke up with a grunt and I winced in pain. I rubbed my sore jaw and winced again. She really punched the living daylights out of me. Thankfully, nothing was dislodged, my jaw also wasn't broken, simply bruised, so everything was going to be right, probably. The punch felt like a freight train… I am just glad that

"So you are finally up?" Yoruichi finally spoke up and I turned my head only to find her lounging on a tree.

"Yeah…" I mumbled as I slowly sat up. "Where is Namaikina?" I asked, wondering where my friend was. Instead of answering, Yoruichi simply jerked her head toward the base of the tree and as I slowly turned my head, I found Namaikina asleep against the tree.

"She never passed out, but she became tired, waiting for you to wake up, and then she kind of fell asleep" Yoruichi explained helpfully. I see…

"So, we got our asses kicked, but how did we do?" I asked curiously.

"While you are good, you are pretty green… You will need experience and it is the same for her. Nothing can beat real experience" Yoruichi explained with a nod of her head. "I wasn't as good as you when I started… I was more like her" Yoruichi finished with a chuckle… That's good, I suppose…

"When did you start?" I asked and I immediately realized it was a sore topic for her from the grimace on her face.

"...I started three years ago…" That was all she said and I understood what she was trying to say. After that, I smartly decided not to ask her anything else about her genin years. She had lived through the war and it must have been a horrifying experience for her. "By the way, from tomorrow onwards, we are going to start D-Rank missions and Genjutsu training" Yoruichi explained, going back to her usual persona.

Genjutsu… Fuck! I knew I was forgetting something…
