142 Time Infusion

'I think Hayley is with them, can you check how are they hanging? It shouldn't be too far.'

'They are about a block away, so there are no problems if I go to check, give me a sec to go near them.'

As I talked to Rose, the bull got mad because I was ignoring him. My sixth sense alerted me that something was not right as I activated Time bubble and Accelerated Sense to dodge the attack.

Because of the last second movement, I was slightly pushed by the bull. I made had to turn on myself to absorb the strength of the impact, it made me lose the balance, luckily since all the beast around were under the effects of time bubble I was able to regain my balance before the next attack came.

As Time bubble had leveled up its range was higher than before. I moved forward again, this left an important space between me and the vanguard, but I was able to cover that with my new time bubble.

As I advanced I took a chance to pick up the tomahawk back, I also noticed the little change in the speed around me, if someone doesn't pay attention they would never see the difference. The change in the radius was the most obvious since the area that I can cover now is a lot bigger than before.

I needed to take care of the bull fast, but because I was in the middle of the beasts I was constantly under attack and every time I was about to counterattack the next attack came, and I had to lose the chance.

Despite this, as I grew accustomed to the attacks and the new improved Time Bubble, I managed to cut some of the beasts, and the poison from the chakrams started to take effect. The area of the cut slowly got paralyzed and left the beast defenseless. The numbing effect also began to spread on my hands, so I had to use detox every now and then. A liquid came out from the wounds that I made on my thumbs, and my hand recovered once again.

The other bull was at its wit's end and started to jump around. Two people screamed in pain during the last attack of the bull.

I couldn't be sure if they survived, but it was followed by a cracking sound and another scream. A vanguard's leg was bending in an impossible position, before the boar that was responsible for it could attack the poor guy again, a bullet pierced its head preventing a casualty.

In just a second three people were wounded and left in no condition to continue fighting. I could see despair and fear in the eyes of the people around me.

A flash appeared ahead of me and a big goat charred and surrounded by lighting rolled for a while until it was about 30 m to the west of me… it was dead. I looked forward, and I knew that Green Shelter's vanguard was getting closer.

"HOLD THE LINE the reinforcements are here!!!"

I used my new ability to give them courage, I could just hope that this gave them the strength to survive until then. I was ahead of them in the intersection, but my voice reached, and their fighting spirit was ignited once again.

I didn't have enough time to discuss too much with the system because I was in the middle of the battle.

Thanks to the constant attacks I was able to poison at least a dozens of beasts, the bull was included between them. It didn't kill them, but their battle prowess got affected, and that was the most important right now.

I kept accumulating damage on the bull and the other beast as I thought about the new skill and the lack of explanations from the system.

The Bull healed the wounds fast, but I could see that it became more and more difficult for it to move due to the poison.

Around me more and more beast started to fall as the poison ended taking their life after it accumulated for a long time.

The power behind the chakrams wasn't enough to put a deadly strike in any of the beasts, but the poison proved itself worthy, but it's not going to be enough to kill the bull. Once again I changed my weapons to my kukri tomahawk.

I was already able to see both groups from my position. Every time, I saw a beast that seemed more powerful than the rest I would use slow on it. The bull that was fighting with G was already almost beaten into a pulp.

During the battle, we lost 2 people, at least that I noticed. One of them was a melee attacker that became careless after the fall of the bull. The other was the same goon that was almost killed before. This time the healing effect wasn't enough and ended losing his life.

Some of the beasts started to escape towards the north and south. The bull I was fighting was profoundly affected by the poison that had been accumulated on his body, but unlike the others, I didn't let him escape. I have been using my new ability on my weapons, and I got some understanding of the abilities they have after using it.

I understood the reason for the System no telling me how to use it. The ability was just as it was described.

At my right, the bull was ready to attack one more time. I jumped back drawing with my infused tomahawk. It went deep into the skin, and I have to give it a powerful pull to take it back.

The blood started to flow. But this time the wound was closing slower than before.

This was the first time that the bull yelled and showed pain during the fight, usually it didn't take that much time to heal back but this time it wasn't working, and the bull knew it. The sound wasn't the same as the one that gave the signal what makes me think about the possibility of a third wave coming. I hope they got scared and just leave us alone.

As I infused the time power onto the weapon, my intention was also taken into account when I fought with the bull what I wanted was to stop his regeneration, of course, I couldn't completely prevent it, but it was enough to slow it down.

At the surprised gaze, I launched myself with a quick combination of attacks that I focused on the same spot once again. Unlike before due to the poison the bull have a terrible time counterattacking, he had no support from other beasts, and the regeneration didn't recover the damage as fast as it was done like before.

I finally receive the notification of the E-Rank dead. I turned around ready to kill more beast but the only one left was a sliding frozen pig that was sliding in my direction. The beasts had run away towards south and north.

I looked, and in front of me there were a bunch of guys with shield, and from between the shield, I could see some familiar faces.

I felt like I could finally relax a little.
