80 Someone is Coming

(Dante's POV)

They were happy with their first kill. Unfortunately, the goat corpse was in no state to bring it back as food.

Hope reloaded the crossbow again, Gerhard once again moved in the front. Hayley was thinking about the battle and how weak the goat was when she compared it with the alligator, she knew that the goat was either a normal goat or one with a really weak power.

Unlike Hayley, this was the first time that Gerhard and Hope left the house since they came here. Hayley noticed that when she went out with Spencer, they kept moving more carefully, checking his surrounding regularly, and tried to avoid places that were more dangerous. She knew that Dante was controlling their encounters, but she was worried about the way that G and Hope were acting.

G proposed the idea to go out, and Hope agreed, they became careless because Spencer could go in and out of the apartment without problems~. Spencer was a little reckless~, but he was a lot more careful while moving than what they were doing, even when I was there~, he would be always alert.

Hayley was the only one that was alert and looking at her surroundings. She didn't like the way they were doing this exploration right now.

For now, I decided to just observe, but I think that for this training to be more effective I have to be a little more tough on them…

'Spence~?'

'What!'

'Sorry to interrupt your mating~, but I wanted to ask something~.'

'We are not mating…'

'Oh sorry~, but since it was in both of your minds, I thought that you were going to do it later~.'

'… maybe I thought about it, but we are not there yet… you wouldn't understand … anyway, something happened?'

I could feel that he was getting mad at me, so I decided to stop that there… what is wrong with them mating? Humans are so messy with their feelings and relations.

'Well, I wanted to ask about how should I train them~.'

'Train them?'

'Well they went out to train~, but I feel that the lack of experience and your constant trips made them a little careless especially G and Hope~.'

'You want to give them a little scare?'

'Yeah~, and try to give them an idea or two about how to act~.'

'Mmm, they shouldn't have left like that, do what you think is correct but don't let them get hurt… at least not too badly.'

I could understand what he means, and with him on board, I could change the difficulty from tutorial to easy.

'We are not mating and stop calling it mating!'

'…In that case, you should talk to Rose and tell her that you don't want to mate~ because she is all flustered right now with your mixed signals~, bye~.'

'Mixed signals? Wait what do you mean! Dante?!?!'

I decided to ignore Spencer retorts and started to work in their training. What should I do first~?

Hayley is looking at the rear from time to time, at least someone is aware of what is happening on the surroundings. Hope was leisurely talking with Gerhard.

"I'm surprised that you decided to make this trip when Spence said that he wanted to rest."

"I was about to cancel it, but when Dante accepted to come with us, I thought that we should be ok since he can keep us safe from most of the beast and we can fight those that he misses."

That I miss?... Gerhard doesn't get how my power work… well unlike Spencer and Rose he never seen it in action and still thinks of me as an average cat… I started to plan some annoying things that I'm going to "miss."

"It surprised me anyway, It never crossed my mind that you would leave Spencer and Rose alone in the house."

Who missed something know G? It was so fun to see his chaotic feelings after Hope's comment, so I added fuel to the flames and put a couple of images of Spencer and Rose making out in his mind.

Gerhard shook his head like trying to take them out of his mind.

"You didn't think about it till now!?!?!" Hope was laughing, and G ignored her.

She put a finger on her lips like thinking for herself.

"I wonder what are they doing now?"

I couldn't resist and added another image. I wanted to continue but a couple things that I "missed" were already here.

A group of chickens got near them the only one that noticed that they were getting near was Hayley since Hope was teasing G and G was… ok, it wasn't his fault I might have overdone it a little.

"Beasts attack." Hayley gave the alarm to the rest, and they finally saw dozens of little chickens coming at them.

'Stupid cat how can he miss so many beasts!'… Gerhard thought.

This is war.

Hope started to run around escaping from the chickens looking for cover. Gerhard swung the maze, but most of the time he missed his mark… it may or may not be related to the fact that I kept adding images of Rose and Spencer making out and I even mix some random scenes from a documentary about human copulation that Spence had.

Since Hayley was the first to notice she was on top rubble and started freezing the places where the chickens were close to each other. Hope got inside an apartment, then she threw something from the inside to break the window and started shooting. It was a good reaction, and it surprised me a little.

G, on the other hand, was really mad and kept trying to smash the chickens with the hammer, he had a lot of little wounds on his legs, nothing serious.

At the end from all the chickens, more than half were frozen by Hayley, and Gerhard and Hope shared the rest of the kills. Gerhard had an angry face while looking around, Hayley was a little pale from using her power so much, and Hope was almost out of bolts.

"We have to go back." Was all that Gerhard said. And he was going to start to walk.

"We need to rest first, I used a lot of my powers, and if we go back without thinking again and something like that happens again, it's not going to end well." Gerhard looked at Hayley and nodded, he was apparently worried because of his sister… the porn might have been an overkill…my bad~.

Hope decided to not tease him either… Hayley came to my side.

'Why did you do that?'

'Throwing so many monsters~?'

'Yeah'

'This is supposed to be a training~, yet Gerhard and Hope were leisure talking about life~? Don't get me wrong but they have to be more alert if it wasn't because you were checking your surroundings all the time they would have been taken by surprise~, and if any of those chickens would happen to have a weird power it could be their end~.'

She nodded since she understand, and it was the same that she thought before.

"We can't do it without Spence right?".

Hope noticed that what she said in a loud voice.

"Sorry I was talking with Dante."

"I know but what do you mean with that."

"Well… you don't know because you haven't go out to scout since the first time Spence was shot, but he does the thing differently."

Gerhard was listening too. And Hope remembered that at the time she didn't get why they need to move through the backyard and not the street until Spence explained that it was to avoid people. Hayley continued her explanation.

"When we went to the west of the city, he always moved carefully constantly checking his surroundings, looking for places to escape, take cover or were something could be lurking and take us by surprise. He had a plan, knew the routes he could take, he thinks all of that in every corner. Now we lack even the most basic preparation, we just left and hope for the best, if Dante wasn't here, we would have been swarmed by beast already."

Since this was Gerhard idea, when Hayley said all this and coupled with his performance in the battle he felt awful and got dispirited.

It's good that they all understand how bad this attempt was~.

This is weird~.

'Spence?~ I think I might need you here~.'

'I'm on my way. What happened?'

'I'm not sure but there is a group of people coming this way, and I can't read their minds, so I don't know their intentions, and I think they somehow are tracking us.'

'We have to leave now follow me.'

I started to move, and before they could even question why they were following me too.

'Dante, what's happening?' Hayley asked. She noticed that her mind was controlled slightly because of the time when Ian tried.

'Someone is coming~.'
