138 March Again

"Get ready everyone! As soon as Gerhard comes back, we will start moving!!... And for those that are thinking who Gerard is… he is the one that was shining in the battle!"

I had to add the last part as some of them made a confused face.

The people around me even if still a little tired, seemed in a better state than before, and the most important was that they had a good mood as survivors of the first wave.

While everyone was in high spirits getting ready to start moving again, Giorgio appeared to talk with me about the plan.

Since I took over during the ambush and ordered people around, I kinda earned the respect of most of the people and the hunting teams. I don't think that what I did was something that great, but it was probably a side effect of my high charisma and good leader perk, even if it doesn't give them bonuses it still gave me that command aura that helped me order some people without resistance.

Giorgio was obviously an essential character for our survival. Probably his battle prowess was the highest of everyone here, but unfortunately, I couldn't let him go into the battle.

No,, it's not just because of the points that I would lose, even if I don't get the points the reward from the mission is too attractive to miss it for something like that.

The reason was the versatility of his power, he probably can kill a lot of monsters if he wants to, but that would leave or rearguard vulnerable. I need him there as the final defense to prevent the potential death of the people from the normal group.

Also, his ability was vital to prevent the beast from surrounding us.

He arrived next to me wanting to know the details of the plan from now on.

"I need to know a little more about the limits of your powers. How many more walls can you create from collapsed buildings?"

"It depends on the size if it's like the ones that had those sheep on it, it's a little more difficult but if you want me to seal a path and I can choose the building to use it would be easier, I think around 10 along the day should be my limit".

I nodded thinking about the possibilities

"What else can you do? Sorry but I only have seen you destroying buildings and moving the rubble around."

"Think of my powers like tiny hands, I use them to apply pressure on the base of the building and then "Take" the rubble and put it wherever I want. I can't use it on persons, animals, or plants nothing that count as "Alive"."

I nodded.

"If we ignore making walls to protect the rear… can we put all the wounded in one large platform and carry them on top of it? how long would you be able to handle that?"

He gave me an apologetic smile after that question.

"The reason that I can destroy the building and created the walls so fast is that I used to work in construction, so I can identify the walls and pillars that handle most of the weight on the buildings, I just attack those points that after the event already are weaker than before and make the whole structure collapse. To carry so many people, I would need to work constantly for a long time, so I don't think I can do it for more than a block… It sounds stupid, but for me, it's a lot more difficult to carry them on a platform than making those walls."

I nodded, it would have been work abuse if I ask him to do both jobs but if we managed to run faster we might have been able to advance a lot more quickly, and with the support from Green Shelter we would be able to get out of here without problems… probably.

"Ok, then we will stick to my original plan, the vanguard will push towards Green Shelter, there should be around fifteen blocks left. We will find the other group soon, and we will be able to advance faster from there. In the meantime, each time we pass an intersection, you will seal the rear, so we avoid getting flanked."

"Ok, but wouldn't that seal our path for retreat too?"

I gave him a wry smile.

"We can't retreat, the other paths could be traps, and the third party on the south is keeping an eye on our movements. Also, the more we try to go around the more time we lose and more difficult will be for the reinforcement to find us… we can only go west. We need to make the formation more compact so start moving here when you get back there… it will be scary for them when the battle breaks out, but we can't let the distance between both groups stay as it is now. That's all the rest we have to improvise according to the circumstances."

He nodded and turned around to leave.

"I hope you know what you are doing."

I sighed while he was leaving.

"Me too…"

At that time G was back and ready to start moving.

I looked at the mission once again.

Someone died already?

"Hey G did you see someone die?"

His face reflected some sadness when he remembered something from the battle

"Yeah… there was this guy that panicked in the middle of the fight before you arrived and tried to escape, a goat charged at him and throw him to the ground, the pigs did the rest. Luckily, no one else noticed it or if they did, they didn't say anything either. It would have been a heavy blow for the morale."

"Yeah…"

I knew from the beginning that it was impossible to get a 100% completion, but I didn't expect that before I even showed up someone already died. I thought about it, but I don't know what could I have done to help him, maybe send someone else with G to absorb the pressure from the frontline?

"Didn't the guy scream or something?"

Seeing someone die in pain would have been terrible, and the guys that were already scared before might have run away meaning the loss of more people.

"No, I think he hit his head on the fall and fell unconscious. After that, I just saw the pigs swarm him, and after a minute there was no signal of his existence."

"I hope we don't have too many casualties…We will talk about your reunion with Emma in Green Shelter so doesn't die."

"I'm not the one that always comes back in a stretcher bro."

"You have to get out of the house for that to happen. Now let's go to the front, in the next intersection you continue to march forward to the next, and I will cover the north street. The south street will be left alone for now unless Rose sees something."

I had to wait for a little for the main group to get closer to us.

The moment I got a new power the method to use it gets imprinted in my mind.

In general F-Ranked Emotion Inducement are bound to one sense to make it work. In my case, the Courage inducement it's bounded to the hearing at least for me, so in a way, it feels like a battle cry skill.

Lust inducement, on the other hand, is related to the touch, so there goes my idea to use lust as a debuff… I'm not going to use it as I beat someone… I don't have any weird fetish, and I don't plan to get one either.

I had to wait a couple of minutes, but the main group was starting to approach us, so we started moving too.

I formed my own team to cover the north everytime I needed to, it included one of Milo's goons and Watson to have two resistant vanguards in the case that we need them. If the situation turns wrong, I told Giorgio to block the path, and I would find a way to get back to them.

We moved to the next block without any mishaps, Giorgio sealed the rear of the formation, and I went back to the front. There I changed 3 members of the team, Watson and the other guy stood with me, but the other changed places so they do not get tired too fast after all running back and forth was more tiring that maintaining the march.

When we arrived at the second intersection, I finally received news from Rose.
