6 Evaluating The Situation

Outside the sun had yet to hide, but once the night comes, we only had the moon and the start to as a light source.

Before going to sleep, we were having a meeting in the dining room. Hope, Rose and I were sitting on the table, Dante was near a window already sleeping, Gerhard was moving around the room as if he had an energy drink.

We explained what happened in the warehouse, before the serious talk started they told us that they were able to find an old toolbox in the house. The good thing about old tools? They don't need energy to work.

With this G can repair a couple of things that could be useful, but we don't have too many spares, and I have the feeling that most of them are wasted anyway. We must decide what things must be fixed first, but before we need to see what we are going to do.

"Why don't we wait here till everything pass?" Gerhard proposed.

We all agreed that we were staying together for now, but needed to prepare for the worst.

"The next topic… superpowers. We have 2 Espers confirmed in our group, and my mentality was enhanced after meteors. Have you guys felt anything different from yesterday?"

"Espers?"

"It's short for extrasensory perception, it's a way to call people with extrasensory abilities like rose and Dante. The powers are not the only change, it can be something simple like thinking faster or some personality changes."

Both started to think, and hope responded almost instantaneously.

"My memory is really good now."

"What do you mean with that?"

"I can remember a lot of things right now, but only the memories after the meteor shower, I can remember everything in Hope's the exact position, like a photographic memory."

"It's called eidetic memory" I corrected her. "If you look an information source can you remember all its contents?"

"I'm not sure, but I can try."

Since the system didn't say anything, I knew that there was something else yet to awake on her, but I still had time to discover it.

Before I could answer, Rose intervened.

"Sorry was just a joke. G do you need to sleep?"

"I don't know when I stop it's like there is something wrong and it starts to hurt and can't do anything. Earlier today when I tried to rest it was horrible".

"Mmm tonight you will try to sleep, we need to figure out if you need it or not, after 1 hour if it's not working you will just keep watch, without going out of course."

"Ok."

G agreed immediately.

"Now the next topic, Rose and Dante abilities. Dante do you know the range and limits to your abilities".

When I talked to Dante, he got up and stretched before coming to the table.

'I'm not sure how it works~, the distance I can use talk to someone depends~ on who I'm talking to~. With you, I can talk from about 3 houses away~, for Hope, G and Rose I need to have visual contact or stand close to them~ maybe Hope can be a little farther~.'

"It makes sense, he used to be bullied, and if he got power, maybe he tried to get revenge. For now, just try not to get in his way, things can get complicated, just go to bed tomorrow we will start repairing and gather stuff for the emergency backpacks."

After that, we went to bed (or couch in my case).

It was already night, and I was lying on the couch, thinking about how crazy everything was today.

I thought about my parents and wished that wherever they are, nothing happened to them.

I checked on G, and he was like a log.

I went back to sleep on the couch.
