126 Aurora Clinic
We missed the reinforcement group departure for about half an hour.
In the armory we got a set of clothes for Cecily, they looked pretty average, but they were comfortable and gave some protection. I have no idea if there are clothes shops or we have to just ransack another apartment for it, now that I think about it I should try to take a stroll around Green Shelter. Rose is going to be happy if I use the chance to go on a date or something like that, I looked at her floating around and scouting.
We could move fast without many troubles, I let G and Emma's goons, the handling of the beasts that appeared, and supported them using my Slow ability. I took the chance to try to do some experiments. Distance, duration, and intensity constantly changed while I tried to understand better how do I distort the time around them to get each effect.
Beside practicing my skill, the other reasons I didn't get into battle was because I wanted G to get more real combat experience and I wanted to stay near the rest to protect them in the case that something happens.
G was moving the hammer around smashing everything that crossed his path together with the other two goons, no one knew their names, so I decided to call them Alfred and Watson, (Alfred was the taller one). Alfred had the same ability than the Fat guy we fought with Zak, Regeneration. Watson had a strength enhance, the effect was quite powerful similar to G's max output.
About Emma, I can see her in her Aura that she has a power, but after what Chambers did I think she got somewhat damaged and couldn't use or forgot how to use her power. I tried to identify it from the aura alone, but I couldn't, I think it might be a support ability or a non-physical enhance.
Even though this area was supposed to be under attack, the reinforcements that went ahead of us did a fantastic job cleaning this place. I think that by the time we manage to catch up they will be already in the clinic, but it was not a big deal. I also noticed from the tracks that a couple of teams left the main group on the way, probably to keep this area clean for the evacuation.
As we advanced and fought from time to time G noticed the speed changes on some of the attackers, I couldn't say anything to him right now, but he already knew about my time distortion, have seen it in action and even suffered himself, so he will know that it's me, supporting them.
We arrive at the clinic after a while. I could see dozens of people on the barricades, the clinic wasn't surrounded yet, but as Sigrid said it was difficult to know how many beasts were there. Two buildings were collapsed and made even more difficult for the beast to move. Probably they use similar strategies everywhere to difficult the beasts advancement.
I took an additional second to see the beast wave before going inside the clinic. Sigrid was waiting for us together with a grey-haired man on a suit.
"Hello, you must be Spencer. My name is Ethan, Sigrid already told us about Green Shelter decision, there is really no way to bring everyone with us?"
"The decision is already made we are here to decide who can and who can't come, nothing else. G, stay outside and stay in the sun as long as you can, stay with Emma and oversee the situation outside."
"Sure."
I needed him with his batteries to the max in the case something happens during the night. Also, I was curious about how their interaction was going to evolve from now on. After he turned to leave, I looked back at Ethan.
"I want to start seeing all the patients. I suppose that most people are ready to move as soon as we finish right?"
"Yes, we are making the preparations. After hearing about the decision, some people might stay behind to die with their loved ones."
I nodded.
"Does the board come to an agreement before we send our decision?"
"No, it was actually good that you decided for us, no one wanted to be the one that decided who stay behind, after fighting together with patients against a health issue for some time it's difficult to go and tell him that we don't think he will make it."
"How did you arrange them?"
"Most of the patients have been moved to the first three floors to move them more easily, the severity of their condition will go up with the floors. All those that can fight are outside, and only the medic personnel and the non-combatant are here."
"So everyone is here then, let's start."
I looked around to decide where to start. Most people were on stretchers, or on chairs, those unrelated were on the waiting room, and those related to someone sat were next to them.
I started with the waiting room when Ethan saw me going there tried to stop me.
"That's the waiting room, the sick patients are this way."
"I still have to decide if they are all coming or not." Most people around me made a surprise expression. It's true that we are supposed to decide who comes but it was still chocking for them that I choose to look if even the healthy ones are coming.
I walked to the waiting room, and everyone gave me weird looks, using my vital points view, I wanted to check everyone's condition, it was easy to put here someone that they wanted to bring even if he was sick so I couldn't avoid this place.
Most people were healthy, some minor health problems but nothing that would kill them soon.
I focused my gaze on the only person that had a real problem, the vitality flow on his heart was weird, and he apparently had a health issue. I looked at Sigrid and Ethan to see if they react to it, but I couldn't notice anything, they probably didn't know about it.
"Robbert, can you see if he knows about his health issues?"
I said pointing with my head to the guy, everyone on the group showed surprised expression and looked at the trying guy to understand what I saw. It took a while for him to respond.
"He knows that he has an issue, but his check up was scheduled after the meteor shower, so he doesn't know how bad it is."
I took a deep breath and walked on the man's direction. From his aura, I could see that he didn't have any ability and his heart condition made difficult to be sure how much time left he had.
"Hello, I'm Spencer from Green Shelter."
The people on this room was already aware of our visit but thought that they had already a foot inside Green Shelter.
"I'm out?"
He directly asked. I could see some people get nervous and lock their gazes onto me.
"I'm not sure yet, what do you do for a living?"
"I used to be an accountant… is this because of my heart?"
"Yes."
At that time Robbert's voice sounded on my mind.
'Is he really that sick? He seems fine to me.'
'Can you connect me with Cecily?'

On our way here Cecily explained how her power worked, giving her the specific condition she could predict the outcome of that situation, if there is a point that is not possible the "simulation" will fail, sometimes she would see the people when they die, the part that didn't work or simple she will not see anything.
'Cecily I need your help.'
She looked at me with some fear in her eyes.
'The situation I want you to think of for him is like this… he will be taken to Green Shelter and will get a job in the logistics area, his heart disease will be diagnosed and treated if possible. Tell me if you see him working in a year.'
Cecily takes a step ahead and touched the guy's hand and closed her eyes.
A minute later she opened her eyes and looked at us.
"It will be fine."
I noticed some tears in her eyes.
"Sorry to bother you, everything is ok, but you have to get a check-up as soon as possible once we are at Green Shelter."
He made a relieved face and thanked us for the opportunity.
Besides him I didn't see anything weird in the waiting room, so we left. Most people move away from me as I went out.
Cecily was happy that the first went fine.
"I was going to propose leaving him behind…"
She looked at me.
"This is why I said that we needed you, we are lucky that it worked, but not everything will go that smooth from now on you have to be ready for bad outcomes too, it will become harsher every time, but when we finish here remember that you have already saved someone from dying today."
