Finding the culprit I

In a dark and creepy-looking temple, a group of people putting on hoods like priests or cult group members all stood side by side all looking in one direction at that direction you can see a figure which looked like the leader of the group

"I asked to instill fear in the hybrid but all you did was harm an innocent girl" the leader shouted angrily to a man in a black cloak who knelt with his head bowed in respect and apology together with fear of what might to him

"am sorry master give me another chance to correct and promise not to make a mistake again master' he replied in an apologetic tone with slight fear in him

"well I guess you did make a mistake but the mistake is to our advantage judging by the family bloodline she must inherit get grandparents' detective instincts and must have picked interest in finding out why this always happens around her," the master says with a roar of laughter and the rest laughed together

"We shall use this to our advantage to make sure she doesn't awaken or be reborn into her true self we shall show her that her family are not just who she thinks they are, that way we can ensure our safety and bring her over to this side so we can rule the earth together as the most powerful beings alive she speaks in an authoritative and evil tone

'you shall proceed with your mission but this time don't harm no one just find a way to gain her trust then leave the rest to the others "he says to the man kneeling

"yes master"the man in the cloak replies and stands up with a bow

At school, a lot of noise and panics can be heard but even only sat reminiscing what just happened yesterday, a detective just walked into the class and called Evelyn out to have a word with her

"I heard you were one the last to speak to Miss Becky before the tragic accident were you?" the detective asked

'I wasn't the last person she spoke to, she spoke to a lot of students and I was one of them, she introduced herself to me and I asked her for her maths notebook which I returned almost immediately and that was the last time "eve answered

"When was the last you saw her yesterday?" the detective asked again

"during phys.ed class and I didn't see her after the class, she left in a hurry" Eve responded

"you didn't see where she headed at that time?" he asked again

"no, I didn't I was focused" Eve replied in a tone that said she knew not what happened to Becky

"okay you can go back," he said to be dismissing her

I walked towards it and all that my mind was what happened yesterday, I needed to find out who and why the culprit did it whether to seek my attention or to... I walked and a lot wanted to know what happened between me and the detective

"There is no need for an uproar or panics I was just searching for clues on what might have happened so anyone who has any idea on what might have occurred" the detective's voice sounded from behind like she was defending me from whatever people had in my mind

"I saw her go towards the rooftop I didn't to be that she went there to commit suicide," a student said nonchalantly

"It wasn't suicide "another added almost immediately and all eyes turned toward the voice

"I saw the culprit but I couldn't come to her rescue cause I was afraid that I'll be next," the student said

"what's your name ?" the detective asked

"Scott" he replied

"Can we talk in private," the detective said as he mentioned for him to follow him outside

They both walked out ...
