1 Chapter 1 - How It All Started!
"So, you've brought me here and offered me an opportunity to go to another world and to fulfill one wish of mine because you're curious why some of your…friends like doing that kind of thing. Did I get everything right?"
The protagonist of this story, standing alone in a white place that gave off the impression of expanding endlessly, said that with a confused look.
By the way, his name's Roland, and he's 17 years old. He's a teenager with short black hair, brown irises, a thin figure, and an ordinary appearance.
Right now, he's naked and see-through as if he's only a soul without a physical body. He doesn't know how he can see, listen, and talk without the organs to do those things!
This doesn't make any sense!
Even so, he decided to stop thinking about abnormal things that happened to him. What's important is that he's so lucky to be in this situation!
"Yes. So, will you accept my offer?" asked a disembodied voice that sounded androgynous, making it impossible to guess the gender of the owner.
"What will happen if I refuse?" asked Roland.
He decided to accept this offer, but he couldn't contain his curiosity, so he asked that question. After all, who'd refuse an extraordinary offer with no strings attached? Only fools or normies with a perfect life would do it! And he was neither one of them!
"I will send you back to your world, and less than a second has passed since you were summoned here," the voice answered.
"Is that so? Well, okay. I accept this offer." Roland tried to hide his excitement, but that was impossible because not only did his voice sound eager but his translucent body also trembled with excitement.
"Very well. Now, tell me where you want to go," said the voice.
"Would you mind if I got my wish first?" ask Roland carefully.
He doesn't dare to act arrogant or sassy in front of this unknown creature. He is not a fool like the main characters in fanfiction who act arrogant and sassy in front of an omnipotent being.
Their actions don't make sense!
Are they idiots?
He doesn't know how those guys could be so insolent before a being that could make them suffer for eternity or worse!
"I don't mind. So, what's your wish?" said the voice.
"I wish for a modified Essence of the Essences!"
"Explain the modification," the voice ordered Roland, who immediately did as he was told.
"By consuming this Essence, I get the following benefits: One, I can create any Essence Meta from nothing. Two, I can consume the Essences that I created. Three, I can nullify or erase the powers of the Essences that I created or gave to others. Last, I am immune to the harmful influences of the Essences that I gave to others."
"Very well," said the voice, and in the next moment, a phial of iridescent liquid appeared and floated in front of Roland, waiting to be picked up.
Roland stared at the phial in amazement. The liquid in the phial is the ticket to his extraordinary life!
After coming to his senses, Roland took the bottle and opened the stopper. He unhesitatingly gulped down the colorful liquid.
'It tastes bland like mineral water,' Roland commented in his mind.
Roland could feel how the liquid evaporated in his throat. Then, he received information about his powers.
"Come to think of it, doesn't the offer to send me to my destination become redundant due to my newfound power?" asked Roland in realization.
"It does," replied the voice. "But, it doesn't matter. I just want to know why they like doing this thing."
Roland absently nodded at the empty space in front of him. Right then, his focus was elsewhere as he was planning about the first Essence he was going to create.
After his planning was done, Roland made the Essence according to his plan. A bottle with colorful liquids appeared in his empty hand.
He dropped the empty bottle in his hand, opened the cap of the new bottle, and gulped down the contents of the bottle. After the liquid dissolved in his throat, he received the information of his new power.
The Essence he'd just consumed was the Essence of the Ancestral God. He was inspired by Against the Gods and its fanfiction, mostly the one written by his favorite writers.
By the way, some benefits of consuming the Essence of the Ancestral God were as follows:
1.) A new body sculpted to the consumer tastes with parameters that of the Ancestral God, meaning that his strength is as powerful as the strength of a whole universe, his durability is as durable as the dimensional shell that protects the universe from the nothingness outside of reality, and so on. This body is also ageless and has no needs for mortal's needs like eating, breathing, sleeping, and so on.
2.) A mind that can store limitless memory with instant recall, perfect indexing, thoughts partitioning, and thoughts accelerating functions. This mind has limitless willpower and is very strong so anyone below the level of Ancestral God is incapable of influencing it.
3.) A full comprehension and mastery over Law of Nothingness and its derived Laws, for example: Law of Time, Space, Life, Death, and Elements.
4.) The aura/presence that exudes the dignity of Ancestral God that awes and/or intimidates lesser beings, except for the fools who follow their dicks and mating instinct than their brain and survival instinct.
After that, Roland used his Law of Nothingness for the first time to create a full-body mirror. He made it float before him, so he could inspect his new look.
"This is awesome!" He exclaimed in awe as he viewed his new look that looked like Zhongli from Genshin Impact. He also touched his hard abs.
He was so smug when he saw his crotch. 'My little brother is not so little anymore!'
His original size was average. However, he was a man, so he wanted it bigger for the sake of his ego.
Done examining his new look, he created a suit to cover his naked body. It was the same outfit that Zhongli used in the game.
He checked his appearance once more. Once satisfied, he dismissed the mirror, making it disappear. Then, he created another Essence and drank it.
It was the Essence of the World Traveler. By consuming this Essence, Roland obtained benefits as follows:
1.) Ability to visit the other worlds/universes in the Omniverse. The time and place can be chosen at will. If there's a higher power that manages, protects, and/or rules it, he won't be kicked out or attacked unless he threatens the world/universe with destruction.
2.) Full comprehension of languages, spoken and written, of the visited world/universe.
3.) Knowledge of the culture and common sense of the visited world/universe.
4.) Knowledge of the locations, even the ones hidden in pocket dimensions or the likes, of the visited world/universe.
5.) Knowledge of the important individuals, good, neutral, and even evil, of the visited world/universe.
6.) Knowledge of flora and fauna of the visited world/universe.
After receiving the benefits of the Essence of the World Traveler, Roland annihilated the bottle in his hand as well as the ones lying on the floor with his will. Then, he asked the voice that had been silent all this time.
"By the way, do you have your answer now?"
"I do…" replied the voice. "But, even now, after examining you, I can't understand why they like doing this. This is… utterly pointless."
"I see… Maybe this isn't your thing," Roland said to the voice.
"I suppose you're correct."
"Anyway, thank you for your generosity. You have my gratitude."
"Don't mind it. I summoned you and did all of this to sate my own curiosity. I have what I wanted."
"Okay. I'm going," said Roland, ending their conversation. Then, he activated his power and disappeared from the white place.
Moments later, the white place shattered and the void consumed the shattered place. In the void, some…things were wriggling disturbingly.
If Roland saw that thing, his sanity would be in danger. Fortunately, he wasn't there to witness that unholy abomination.
Roland was truly lucky.

With Roland, he appeared in a forest after leaving the white place. As soon as he arrived, information about the place appeared in his mind.
He obtained information related to the language, culture, common sense, locations, notable individuals, floras, and faunas of this world. He had to utilize his mental partition and acceleration abilities to sort everything.
Simultaneously, he used his main mental processor to inspect his surroundings. He seemed amazed by the size of the large trees around him and the clear blue sky that he could see through the gaps in the forest canopy.
"Well, this is a cultivation world for you! Everything is so… exaggerated! Even the people living here! Ha ha ha ha!" He seemed so amused.
"Anyway, it looks like I'm several dozen kilometers away from the Floating Cloud City. And it's a year before the start of the original story! Just as I wished!" He grinned as he thought about his next action.
Roland had chosen that place because he'd been reading his favorite ATG fanfiction when he was summoned by the 'voice'. He really liked those fanfictions, so he wanted to try doing what the protagonists of those stories did.
He was curious about the so-called Jade Fairies!
He wanted to see them in real life!
However, what's most important is that he wanted to get Xia Qingyue as his waifu!
Because of those fanfictions, he realized that Xia Qingyue had the potential to be a 'goudere' girl due to her Heart of the Snow Glazed Glass.
Goudere girls are just his type! He couldn't help it!
To be honest, he originally hated Xia Qingyue from the original story. However, he later came to like her because of his favorite fanfictions.
Of course, Xia Qingyue wasn't only his target. He had a plan for a certain all-girls sect.
In this world, a strong man having a harem is commonplace. Since he wanted to experience having a harem of Jade Fairies, he would give it a try!
"Alright, I'm gonna create some useful Essences first. After that, I'll visit the Floating Cloud City to meet my waifu and her family," said Roland, hyping himself.
